I work in High Point and have been looking for different lunch places to go that don't take too long. I saw other reviews on this place so I decided to try it and I definitely wasn't disappointed. It seems family owned and the service is good and quick. These egg rolls are amazing and honestly I would go just for them. I didn't get to get a picture of my main meal but this will definitely become a rotation choice, plus they give you great portions for your $$. Glad I tried it out!!

This is truly a hidden GEM! The front of the place is low-key. Once you enter this, you are immediately taken back but the decor. It is smaller than what I thought it would be but very comfortable and cozy. The service was impeccable! She did an outstanding job communicating with us and making us feel at home. I ordered Hibachi Chicken and shrimp. It came out perfect! The shrimp were huge and the chicken was plenty. It also came with rice and veggies The veggies tasted so fresh...damn I wish we ate were more than once before leaving. Seriously! YOU MUST GO HERE!!

Food is excellent here, however, extremely overpriced and very small portions. You can go to an actual Japanese steakhouse and get twice as much food for the same price.

Yum! Wonderful hidden slice of heaven. Hibachi steak and fried rice.

This place is a wonderful hidden gem in Archdale. The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is wonderful and the owners are so very kind. The portion size was incredible and the steak is melt in your mouth good. I don't usually get hibachi steak out of fear it will be tough, but I never have to worry about that @ Okinawa!!! YUM YUM YUM!!!

I just wasn't expecting this level of authenticity in High Point. My daughter and I stopped in on Saturday, May 23, and spent $61.39 on dinner and drinks. I almost skipped it entirely because raw fish just is not my thing. Smoked salmon, yes. Raw seafood, usually not happening. Then I noticed they had cooked poke bowls and customizable options, so we gave it a shot. The food hall was not busy when we visited, so service moved quickly. After ordering, they handed us a buzzer and our food came out fast. We ended up getting everything to go. I ordered the large Strawberry Blossom tea refresher. It had a really good fruity flavor, although it started out a little sweeter than I like. I added some extra ice and that fixed it immediately. My daughter got the Peach Paradise tea refresher, and hers was excellent from the first sip. Both drinks were large and definitely worth the price. We shared the Firecracker Roll, and they had no problem adjusting the spice level for us. Normally it comes with spicy tuna and spicy sauces, but they toned it down without making a big deal about it. The roll came with ten pieces, topped with fresh tuna instead of the spicy tuna, crunchy bits, scallions, and sauce. Plenty for two people to split, and we still brought a couple pieces home. It was delicious! For my meal, I ordered the Chicken Poke Bowl from the cooked menu section. I am glad I spotted that menu because it completely changed my mind about eating there. Every bite was fresh and flavorful. The vegetables were crisp, the rice was cooked right, and the sauces pulled everything together without making the bowl heavy. I upgraded to the fried chicken for an extra dollar. The breading did not stay on perfectly, but that was a small issue compared to how good the bowl tasted overall. Even the bites without chicken were good enough to stand on their own. The chicken was crispy and well seasoned. My daughter built her own poke bowl, which honestly looked like the fun option. You go down the line choosing your base, proteins, mix-ins, sauces, toppings, and crunchy add-ons. There were a lot of choices, but it still felt simple and easy to follow. Everything looked fresh, colorful, and made to order. The restaurant itself was clean, modern, and organized. The staff stayed friendly, and the whole place had a relaxed vibe. It was a bit pricey, but I think worth it. This place definitely earned a return visit from me, especially considering I almost walked past it because of the raw fish focus. Must order: Firecracker Roll and the Chicken Poke Bowl & Peach Paradise bubble tea Tip: If raw seafood is not your thing, check the cooked menu before you decide. There are plenty of good options.

Took out my trusty Yelp app, and something of an Asian influence sounded good to me. I found this really well rated spot not far from my location, so I decided to head over. Shipp Sushi Casual is a small restaurant located inside a strip mall next to the Wal-Mart in this area. It's non-descript, but inside, is actually decorated nicely. Lots of greenery and small touches. They do have table service, though I would have been fine just to order at the counter. There is a huge TV in there, and unfortunately for me, it was loudly blaring Fox News at the time, though the channel was changed several times while I was there. In either case, a little less volume would have been appreciated. There was a miscommunication on my order, and now that I look at the menu again, it is clear to see why. There are two sections right next to each other, "Soup Udon" and "Spicy Udon" the former is soup, the latter, is a stir-fry. That said, in the soup section there is a dish titled "Spicy Seafood Udon" and in the stir-fry section a dish titled "Spicy Udon Seafood." I ordered the latter (even pointed to it), but was brought out soup. You could see why this would be confusing, the waitress should have asked for clarity, or the menu needs to be changed. I didn't have the time to wait for an entirely new dish to be made, so I accepted the Udon soup. Now having the soup, I will say, I was very happy with the portion. The amount of veggies, noodles, and seafood made it very filling, and the broth was indeed spicy. However, I wish the broth had a more robust flavor, as opposed to just being spicy. Ultimately, I was really wanting the stir fry, and though I do like a good soup, it just didn't scratch my itch. All that said, I'd give it another try, and be very specific with what I want next time. Overall, I think they're making good hot food here, and they care about what is rolling out from the kitchen. I'll be back!

I went on a Friday afternoon, with my toddler, and was sat promptly in a booth. The gentleman that waited on me was very patient, polite and explained how everything worked in its entirety. I started with a mango margarita cocktail with no ice and it was very good, extremely flavorful and you could really taste the mango. The sushi that was coming through on that conveyor belt was so fresh! A started with a spicy tuna roll because it came by first. The right amount of spicy tuna to rice ratio made perfect by the pickled ginger that my server brought to the table. I proceeded to have a perfectly fried spring roll with sweet chilli sauce, a few super star sushi roll pieces, a few shrimp avocado roll pieces, Crab Rangoon and shrimp shumai. The sushi rolls and fried spring rolls came fresh across the conveyor belt. There is no way of knowing what the chefs will add to the belt but it's a good way to try something you may not normally order.
