We knew it would be good once we got there and the line was almost out the door! The lady that took our order was very sweet and patient. This rest. used to be the best Chinese rest. around. Always consistent with the food and always good. We probably ate there a couple times a week over many years. There has to be an owner change or something like that because the food went right down the drain in the last 3 months or so. Because we eat there often, we know most of the dishes and they have cheapened the ingredients to a point where it is really just bad food now. We are so disappointed because we never went anywhere else for Chinese and now they have turned sour. So as far as take-out Chinese goes, this is one of the better ones in MtP. They get big kudos for speed and accuracy of your order; I've been a few times and have never had to wait for my order nor received something inaccurate. They have your typical Chinese food menu items, and it's decent. I'm always surprised that it's still warm by the time I get home. I absolutely love their steamed dumplings but when it comes to those, I'm pretty easy to please. Recently had their Triple Delight with Garlic Sauce Chef's special. It's chicken, shrimp, and beef in a garlic sauce. Very good! read more

Still trying to find a Chinese restaurant in Mount Pleasant whose food is pretty good. My family and I decided to order here. I had the boneless ribs and house fried rice. The rice was good. Decent portion of meat within the rice and it had flavor to it. The ribs was dried out like it had been cooked to long which affected the taste. Not sure if it is consistently cooked like that or just caught a bad batch. The ribs didn't have much flavor but every now and then a piece will give you an idea of what it could be. Haven't marked off this place completely, willing to try again to see if better next time. As with most Chinese restaurants, the sweet tea is sweet and good. read more

Have ordered carry out from here many times. Usually it's good. However this time it was not. They got my soup incorrect. I told the man on the phone I wanted wonton soup three times, yet he wrote hot and sour soup. Really don't like that soup. I also got chicken with snow peas. The chicken tasted like roasted chicken with a sauce on it. My husband got the house egg foo young. He said it was not good. We ordered from before Christmas and it was excellent. Very disappointed in last nights meals. I did call and the woman who answered the phone said for me to remind them they owe me a wonton soup. I didn't want to drive 15 minutes to get a replacement. Average Chinese food. Included pic of curry chicken, pepper steak and pork fried rice. Curry was not spectacular especially after eating Thai recently. Pepper steak was ok with fresh peppers. Pros: slightly higher quality than normal Chinese places. Large portions. Cons: I asked for my meal to be spicy, and it wasn't. The hot sauce they gave me wasn't spicy either. They serve food in to-go bowls, and plastic silverware. It's hard to cut and organize your food. Every table in the place was dirty. read more

Ever since elementary school we have gone here for Chinese takeout!! The vegetable fried rice is the best!! And the sweet and sour chicken is also pretty sweet. Also has a lot of parking and very easy to get to! read more

I came in after going to the gym and got the general tso's chicken. I was impressed by how fast they cooked it, and once I got home, I was impressed again on how good it tasted! Unlike some other restaurants in Mount Pleasant, they give you a LOT of food. I was expecting the bowl to be half filled with rice and a tiny bit of chicken and broccoli, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the whole bowl was filled with chicken and broccoli, and a container of rice to go along. I've been here several times for lunch. Its probably as good as it gets for a take-out Chinese in this area. The place is usually packed out with construction workers, and the lady at the counter is super friendly and I'm always impressed by her speaking Spanish to the construction workers. Came here to visit relatives and we decided to try out this take out place while we were in town. The food was pretty good, better than most Chinese take-outs I've had in New York.
