Gorgeous restaurant, a 5 star experience. Our server was David and he is a pro. The owner stopped by our table to introduce himself which is an indication of good overall management. Park in the garage, east! We were a party of 6. Every dish was delicious, we finished everything and the dessert was also great. The feedback from our party was 4.5 stars..

I always love this spot as it's close to home and very unique to Charleston. This wasn't my best experience though. Upon arrival we were seated and given water but it took about 10-15 minutes to be greeted by our server. You could tell they were understaffed and super busy which is totally okay and he was super apologetic. He got our cocktail orders in and started to explain the menu to my grandma who hadn't been before- very nice and standard procedure but our notes on the reservation stated she couldn't speak or eat anything other than soup. Again, we don't expect places to bend over backwards for this but it should be acknowledged. They did accommodate her and she had a broth served to her since the soup on the menu was going to be too spicy for her. We ordered our usual suspects as well as the Dan Dan noodles to try. He warned us they were super spicy but we thought we could handle it. If you want to leave crying, snot coming out of your nose and mouth burning order these. They warned us so that's totally on us but holy sh*t they were so spicy. Not my favorite experience here. I felt the manager probably should've touched the table at least once, and again we aren't ViPs but those extra gestures go the long way. I will still go back just absolutely never touching those noodles again, and probably won't bring grandma.

I originally stopped in to try their new happy hour featuring the bao burgers, only to learn that it was canceled... for the rest of the year. While I was bummed I decided to stay at the bar where I ordered the gin sesame cocktail, build your own bao and wine. I love gin and matcha so I was excited to try this popular cocktail. For me, the sesame overpowered the drink and I wasn't a big fan of the flavor and this is why I switched to wine. Don't let that deter you from trying it as it was an interesting drink I'm sure you'll enjoy! You can never go wrong with the bao buns and highly recommend. The bartender last night was so nice, honestly the absolute best: super friendly, attentive to everyone there and made polite conversation. Great experience

Better than I was hoping for! I wanted to try the pork belly special but we got the chicken and I was afraid it would be spicy, but it was just perfect. Crunchy and savory. The green beans were amazing! The rangoons and the potstickers were great for appetizers as well. No complaints at all. The drinks were very unique and I enjoyed trying something new. Owner greets you and checks in on you, everyone is very personable. Server was helpful and professional!

Date night just got elevated at XO Brasserie with upscale Cantonese and Sichuan inspired cuisine! It was the first time I've tasted food out here that reminded me of the dishes I grew up with. From the cocktails to the main dishes, everything was familiar yet refined. Food can be amazing but if service is terrible, I'm never coming back. Not the story here. Service was outstanding, waiter was great with all his recommendations that catered to our taste, and even the owner came out to chat with us. Definitely a must-try for your next date night. Here's what we had (* new menu items): Red Dragon* - Japanese Gin, Beet, Red Pepper, Ginger, Calamansi The Ginger Berry Mocktail - Blackberry, OJ, Chai-Orgeat, Ginger Beer Green Salad - Melon, Marinated Tomato, Crisp, Sichuan Berry Vinaigrette Scallop Jiaozi*- Lap Cheong, Fennel, Black Vinegar, Brown Butter Steak Chow Fun - C.A.B Ribeye Steak, Egg, Onion, Bean Sprouts, House Soy New Zealand Lamb Rack* - Raven Farm Mushroom's Lapyuk Lardon's, Herb Salad, Chili Mint Peas Nutella Mousse - Five Spice, Cake Crumble, Hazelnut, Black Sesame Tuille, Seasonal Jam

This is my first time here in this restaurant that has been opened about a year and four months. No complaints on the service or the ambiance. Really nice atmosphere and our bartender/server was great. I'm a little on the fence with the elevated Asian fusion food, and this just may be personal preference. The presentation of all dishes was on point. I found that there were some strange combinations of flavors that I wasn't convinced belonged or complimented each other. The truffle tofu has some dry flaked mushroom that tasted like nothing. And the tofu texture was very odd, like a spreadable cheese. The crab Rangoon contains provolone, which was all right I guess. The sauce with the goons was really tasty, sweet and savory. You can't really complain about super garlicky green beans and dressed in oyster sauce, but just not that novel. The dessert was the most disappointing. There was a five spice cake crumb layer on the bottom which didn't compliment the mousse at all. Still not really sure what the weird crispy thing on top of it was for because flavor it didn't provide. Overall, for the price, I wouldn't come back. I feel like the attempt at elevating Asian food just isn't quite improving anything. That said, you may feel differently depending on your tastebuds.

We have enjoyed XO Brasserie several times now since they opened. The interior design is modern elegance, with a nice bar, ample seating, and cozy ambient lighting at night. Their menu offers Cantonese and Sichuan influenced flavors, with small plates and larger formats for sharing. Favorite small plates we have enjoyed are the the shrimp toast, silk road build a boa, and their green salad. There are usually 5 different dumplings to choose from, we've enjoyed them all. For entrees you must have the Chilean sea bass, it is so moist and perfectly flavored. The Dan Dan noodles are pretty spicy, but enjoyable. Checkout the Kung pao shrimp for some large delicious shrimp. Come here for some sophisticated Chinese cuisine, but they also have a great cocktail menu. Service was excellent, with the server engagement sustained the entire time. We appreciate having XO Brasserie as a Charleston dining option and look forward to returning.

What an amazing meal. Gorgeous restaurant with attentive staff and great cocktails and mocktails. The food was beautiful, fun, and delicious. The 4 of us always order lots of plates and enjoy a sharing atmosphere! This is a top notch spot to enjoy a delicious meal with friends.

Absolutely phenomenal! The Burrata - I will dream of it tonight. Potstickers, build a bao, crispy mala chicken were all excellent as well. Our server was nice & attentive. Drinks were also exceptional. The owner stopped by the table at the end of the evening to check on us and see how we enjoyed. Always a wonderful ending to a beautiful dinner. Can't wait to visit again.

We were visiting Charleston and our friends made reservations here. The interior is pretty. The exterior looks like a modern building. Everything we ordered was delicious. 1)Burrata Asian style w/ fried puffy bread sticks-this was not the name of the dish but it was sooooo good. The burrata and some Asian spices paired well w/ the breadstick. 2)Pork baos-also fresh, good and filling 3)lamb chops-superb 4)beef chow fun-tasty noodles w/ slices of beef, no complaints here 5)lobster XO-great presentation, meaty and perfectly delicious 6)shrimp fried rice/pork-tasty 7)fruity pebble donuts-fresh and good 8)all the cocktails were refreshing. One of the old manhattan cocktail had orange ice cubes-which I thought was neat. I do wish the lychee cocktail had some lychees in it. The manager greeted us and brought us the main dish outstanding lobxster

This space is beautiful. We loved the ambiance and the fact we were able to hear our party talking without shouting. If you are trying to catch up with people this is a great space to do that in. Parking was somewhat difficult to find but once in the garage there were plenty of spots and they validate the parking. Our server was great. He was patient and explained the menu well. The drink menu was not for us. Our party tried five separate drinks and none of us would order any of the drinks again. One was so medicinal in flavor that we ended up sending in back which our server was very understanding of and happy to get us a replacement without charge which we greatly appreciated. The food was okay. The burrata was the group favorite. We also got the green beans, chicken wings, dumplings, potstickers and steak chow fun. All were fine but didn't leave us wanting more. All in all, great space, great service, easy parking for a downtown location. We personally would just stick to wine and beer and probably order differently.

I was in Charleston for the weekend with my twin for our birthday. We love Asian food and I knew after consuming many oysters, we would need dumplings! I found this new place on Yelp and it was a little beaten off the path. We walked in, with little expectations, but immediately found the atmosphere stunning and elegant. The food and service were incredible! The wontons were our favorite along with the special of the day, miso- marinated sea bass. Happy Dance!i

Super good! Dan Dan noodles are spicy, but the steak chow fun is incredible. Appetizers were both delicious. Drinks were great, atmosphere was wonderful, service was excellent.

This place is a Latin/Asian infusion so we were very excited to see how the flavors played out since it is two of our favorite types of food. The best thing I had was the special, stir fried udon noodles with the steak. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the chili spice on it was amazing and it wasn't overly sauced. The steak that accompanied it was also delicious. The tomato cucumber salad was fresh, but could've used a little more salt in my opinion. The bao bun and tacos were also nice and great portions. I would say for me I didn't love the pad Thai in comparison to the many that I've had before, because it was a bit different in flavor profiles than what I'm used to. I wanted a little bit more of the fish sauce and tamarin flavor. You have to get their milkshakes, I'm sure all of them are great. But the one we have was absolutely decadent and delicious! We had more than enough food, and ended up taking a lot of it home. They were multiple people helping us, and they were all very nice and friendly. I'm coming back for the udon noodle dish!
