We went in for lunch about 45 minutes prior closing. They have a simple menu with the usual... stir fries, noodle, rice, curry dishes. The lunch menu doesn't have appetizer options which was surprising and also cost them probably another $10-15 from our total as we might have done an appetizer and for sure coconut soups. That said, they brought out complementary spring rolls. We both had Thai teas, perfection! Hubby ordered the Drunken Noodle a notch below Thai hot which was delicious, and the Thai teas came was an excellent complement. When trying a new Thai restaurant (my fav cuisine) I always start with Green Curry (my fav dish) and if it doesn't hold up, I won't be back to try other dishes. Upon first impression, I noticed the curry with a thinner consistency, and I like mine creamy! Usually a thinner consistency lacks the punch of flavor that defines a good green curry dish. I don't know how Thai Lotus did it because of all the curries I've tried this has never happened, this green curry is outstanding! The flavor hits! I was so surprised! Yum yum yum! Our server was so sweet and everything was so delicious! The prices were reasonable, both our dishes and Thai teas, our tab was about $30+tip. I can't wait to go back for dinner service and check out some of their other menu items. We really enjoyed our lunch! Also, I love their artwork. Today is Wednesday, February 11 2026, this is an updated review from a previous one I had posted. We loved Thai Lotus, until today. We go there frequently, we went there today for lunch, it was moderately busy, my wife ordered the lunch special fried crispy chicken with vegetables and rice, I ordered what I always order spicy eggplant with pork normal spice level, we also ordered the calamari appetizer. The appetizer came out. It was a small portion, but I had been craving it so I enjoyed it, my wife's crispy fried chicken with vegetables came out and they set the plate in front of her and walked away, about five minutes later our waitress walked by and said do you need a sharing plate? I said no I'm still waiting for my order. She gasped and said your order? I said yes spicy eggplant with pork normal spice like you wrote it down. She was shocked. She said let me check on your order. There were five other tables that came in after us. They all were served their food and after waiting 15 minutes I told the waitress cancel my order. She says well they're just starting it now. I said it doesn't matter. My wife is done eating and I no longer have an appetite. They gave us a three dollar discount on our total order and did not charge me for my dish. I was so frustrated. We loved going there, however, after this, we will not go back. The big issue is when she realized that she messed up our order. She did not make an attempt to make my order a priority while my wife's food was getting cold. They just blew it off and put me at the end of the list this is a terrible way to do business oh and by the way, I left a $1 tip on a $33 bill. We are so sad that this happened because we really like this place but we are done we will not be back. read more

The food was great... It was our first time but we are already planning to bring the family here to enjoy this outstanding Thai cuisine. We had the Thai Dumplings for an appetizer, steamed, they were excellent, very meaty, nice flavor. The sauce was sweet and savory. Not too much garlic for my taste. Some of the best dumplings I have tasted. The dish had 5 nice sized dumplings. We had Mango Curry as a main course. The curry was spicy enough to notice, but not close to overpowering. There was a lot of chicken and shrimp. Excellent dish served with a bowl of Jasmine rice. We shared the bowl which was large. Probably not too much if you are hungry... A lot if you ordered another main dish like we did... Oh, it had lots of mango and the mango tasted like it was just cut open, excellent touch. That second main dish was Ginger Duck. A crispy duck served with onions, mushrooms, red peppers, and other veggies that I forget at the moment. My wife loves duck and this dish did not disappoint. Together the meal was too large for us to finish and we took home about 2/3 of the Ginger Duck plate. Cary had a glass of Cab. House wine. Good price. Larger pour. She was happy with it and we are almost (but not quite) wine snobs. I had a Thai beer, a Singha. Never had one before tonight and I was pleased with it. A mild pilsner like concoction that reminded me of beer that we had in Central America, Belize I believe. Belican was the name of it... I'm getting off track... Anyway, Service was great. The owner took care of us. Says his name is Willie. I suspect that in reality he has some name most of his customers can't pronounce or remember... So Willie it is and he was quite hospitable. The ambiance is decent. Better than many Thai places, but nothing fancy. Honestly I felt like if the decor was upped by a $50,000 redecorating project, Willie would have a top level Thai place but would have to charge a lot more than the 60 something dollars we paid for this meal. So I will say that the place was pleasantly decorated but not overdone. I love Thai, but I think anyone could find something they would enjoy here. Can't wait to take my son and his family. The grandkids will really enjoy those dumplings. Hey, I noticed several people dropping by for takeout... so that's an option. read more

Greeted so happily when we walked in. Decor was elephants and koi fish. Kind of reminds me of a fast food restaurant when I first walked in. Ordered our favorite Thai tea then started with fried asparagus, the asparagus was lightly fried, batter was very light. Sauce was amazing. Had Bangkok Chicken with rice noodles instead of rice suggested the change by the waiter. My husband crab was over cooked but other then that we were very pleased. Since moving to Pendleton SC 1 year ago from the west coast, my husband and I have missed the plethora of Asian food choices we had back in the Pacific Northwest. While Thai has typically been one of my husband's least favorite cuisines (in error, I believe, because he doesn't like sweet sauces and peanuts) this did not disappoint. We ordered Thai iced coffee (I had two- so good! Don't tell me the calories in any of this, lol) and then wings, egg rolls, fried rice, sesame chicken and the ginger duck. Yes, lots of food because we wanted to know if it was worth coming back. Everything was so good that we ate it all! Embarrassing! But honestly I would do it again. The ginger duck was so crispy and perfectly cooked, and the ginger sauce not too overpowering. We can't wait to come back and try all of their duck dishes next (they have at least three). The bone in wings were delicious too. The sesame chicken and egg rolls were good, but we will probably stay away from those next time, opting for more duck and then trying more noodle dishes. Quite LITERALLY the BEST Thai place in all of South Carolina. My sister and I ordered the spring rolls, sweet and sour wings, Tom-kha, pad Thai, green curry and the mango dessert and when I tell you 10/10 on EVERY dish. Food taste and feels hearty and made with love. I'm from Seattle and my sister is from New York so we've had a lot of authentic Thai food and this is definitely up there if not better. The staff are so sweet as well there were two women and they made us feel so welcomed like the atmosphere is just great!! I recommend this spot to anyone and everyone. Excellent meal! For the appetizer we got the steamed Thai dumplings and they were delicious! We got the Tom Kha coconut soup with shrimp, Drunken Noodle, and Pattaya Seafood for our entrees. SO GOOD. The place was BUSY and people who grew impatient were so rude to them. They not only maintained their cool- but continued to provide exceptional service. The management in this restaurant is top notch and friendly. The food is delicious I love their house pad Thai with shrimp, chicken and tofu. Yum! Portions are generous.
