Anton and his crew exceeded our hopes and requirements. This was a small project to update a small guest bathroom. The original contract was clear, clean, and Anton abided by all terms. We found the price to be fair and reasonable. Anton connected us with a collaborative designer with whom he works closely (Bonnie Johnson, Spruce & Steel Design). Bonnie added a synergistic fit with Anton, providing him with critical detailed drawings and managed us (the clients) relative to design choices such as tile, lighting, hardware fixtures, etc. What stood out as exceptional was the quality of the crew and the work each of them did. They arrived on time and worked incredibly hard. Impressive was their attention to small details that shaped the outcome. From the beginning, Alan was methodical, communicative and prompt. He showed up to give us an estimate and answered my numerous questions about the job at hand. By the end of the same day of his initial visit, we had a detailed estimate in email, which we approved. Our house was remodeled in the past with uniqueness and quality materials in mind, but with 80% completion on many aspects. We needed a contractor who could help complete our unique vision. Alan replaced a large area of cedar shakes on the back of our home, helping erase the evidence of a decayed deck we previously removed. He also crafted a solution for a corner where the previous homeowner didn't seal up the house properly. Alan was organized and gave great attention to detail. He communicated his arrival and departures each day, and ended up finishing ahead of schedule. It is in decent shape, but we wanted to do a lot of work to turn it into our dream house. Rob has been our go-to man throughout this extensive process, and we can't imagine having done it without him. In fact, without him, I don't think it could have gotten done, or rather it would have been MUCH harder (me having to find people for each job), and slower. Rob can do everything. He has replaced every door in our house, all door knobs, hinges and other hardware, all lighting fixtures. He has updated the closets and replaced closet doors. He has replaced our front door and the entire frame. He took out and then covered over this weird door that made no sense and that I wanted to simply be a wall. We want to renovate both bathrooms, and he will do this, and I know he will complete them in a timely manor and that his work will be excellent. He will also be installing a hot tub for us. As I write this, Rob is replacing a rotten stretch of fencing in our backyard and a gardening shed that is attached to the fence. Oh, and how can I forget the most significant project he did for us? He created a custom floor to ceiling bookshelf that spans the entire wall of our living room, and it is beautiful. Rob is professional, skilled, honest, and responsive (he returns phone calls quickly!!!!), and his work is excellent. (As I said, our house is 100 years old, so it's full of irregularities, and Rob has mastered all of them to create exactly what we wanted.) Rob can do everything. His knowledge and skills are vast. In the future, whenever I want anything done, Rob will be my go-to contractor. I cannot recommend Rob highly enough.

He came out and after walking through my overgrown pollinator garden, he gave me a quote which was pretty much consistent with the others. Big difference? He communicates well, he is ethical, he shows up on time, works hard, cleans up afterward. He is also a nice man who cares about the quality of what he does. Joseph is knowledgeable about many plants and trees. To his credit, when he encountered one he wasn't familiar with, he set about educating himself so he would do things right. He pruned my Mock Orange, Oregon Grapes, my Japanese Maple, a wildly out of control espaliered Apple tree, thinned out some fading seasonals, and pulled up a dying azalea I'd tried, but failed, to bring back. Then pulled out the overgrown weeds from my curb and sidewalk to make it all look more tidy. I'll be calling Joseph again, absolutely. You should, too. My before photos aren't uploading after three tries. Hmmmm. Trust me though, things were out of control.

We started with some tired, neglected landscaping containing a lot of (sick) grass, and some drainage issues, and from that they created a mini nature park in our backyard, including a river-rock-filled dry creek bed, a packed gravel walkway around it, built-in drip irrigation, lighting, as well as a plan for trees and shrubs that will invite birds, bees, butterfiles, etc. This plan was executed by a company she frequently partners with - Oregon Outdoor Living - and they were great to work with as well. The workers are highly skilled and diligent. We're looking forward to see how it grows out! Communication has been excellent all of the way through. It has taken me forever to write this, but let me say: joe is GREAT!!! I have already recommended him to 4 people. What I asked joe to do was impossible: turn my dog-destroyed back yard into a relaxing, beautiful escape from my hectic life. Most landscape companies I called responded with "haaaahaaaahaaaaa. Riiiiight". Joel's response? "Done. No problem. When can I start?" My reaction: "riiiiiight". But, he did it, and with very little help and a smile on his face the entire time. He transformed my backyard into a space I no longer am embarrassed to set foot into. His bid was extremely low (probably too low), and his determination to get the job done in the time I needed was insane! I seriously couldn't believe everything he accomplished. Not only did he help with my yard, but he also helped chase down some jackass who hit my car and took off. That's right, Joe's an all around honest, great, hard working person and I would highly recommend him to redesign your yard, build a fence or some sort of garden structure, or just maintain your landscape. so happy to have found bamboo grove!!! they were prompt, professional, and went above and beyond my expectations. two stands of bamboo were contained in an artful but robust way. my next door neighbor commented to me how hard they worked and how personable they were, as i was unable to be at home for the install of the barrier. i felt the for the work they performed, the price was well worth it. it was wet thick muddy clay! the amount of debris from overgrowth that they hauled away was astonishing! i had my house refied and the value increased i'm sure partly because of how much better the yard feels. they also trimmed a large tree in a thoughtful and sensitive way, cleaned up overgrown bushes, and even came back and dressed out the area with more pea gravel. if you have bamboo that needs containing, this is the best value but still with an upscale sensibility. definitely recommend and will have them back. read more

I want to thank Joe and his crew for their fabulous work! We were on a very tight timeline and Joe was able to fit our job into his schedule. He was on time and very professional and friendly. He was able to work within our budget and still give us a wonderful handcrafted fence and gates in the style we wanted. The crew from Bamboo Grove were great! Very nice and they really listened to what we wanted and were able to make small tweaks to make it even better. We have a small dog (who is an escape artist) and they took the time to ensure that there were no gaps where he could get on from the concrete section. They really did a great job, kept a clean and neat work site and were a great team. The poor guys were working in 100 degree heat but they put in long hours to get the job done. We had some bamboo that died and we needed the rhizomes removed. We contacted Joe for a bid. He visited us and gave us a very reasonable bid so we went with him. Steven, Austin and Jeremy arrived as scheduled to do the removal. The crew were not only very knowledgeable but did an amazing job in the removal. Joe followed up with a site visit to ensure everything had gone as planned. The entire process from beginning to end was very professional. The crew went out of their way to clean up the debris etc. We were so impressed that we have asked Joe to give us a bid on a couple of more jobs that we would like completed. I'm giving them one star for responding to my Yelp project and one star for at least letting me know that they weren't going to come and saving me a lot of headaches later when they probably would have quoted the job but then not completed it. From all the reviews it sounds like if you can get them to your house for a simple fence, they may be good, but unfortunately more times than not they cancel or don't show up.
