We order from this restaurant once a week at least, there is not one thing they do that is not amazing. Delivery is at our house in under ten minutes if not sooner and always straight off the oven, you can tell nothing sits ever everything was just cooked specifically for you. Have ordered food to go several times. The staff is always nice. The double sautéed pork is delicious, a nice balance of pork and vegetables in a flavorful sauce. It could be a little spicier, but I bet they would accommodate if we asked. The spring rolls are good, but I really like the pork lo mein. It has a slightly smokey/grill flavor that makes it so good. This really is sub-par chinese food, even for the burbs...the chicken wings are so overcooked they are barely edible, the beef teriyaki is made from the lowest grade of beef available for human consumption and looks so unappealing that I doubt a dog would eat it. My kids usually love this stuff but they scoffed at it and nearly cried when the food showed up. If it's a rainy day and this is the only chinese delivery, well, then you must be desperate. I suppose I get what I get when I go for Chinese takeout on New Years Eve, but I would of held this place in much higher esteem if they stopped taking orders instead of selling mostly Inedible garbage. I spent $54 for food for a small get together only to be embarrassed an had to throw most of it away. The boneless spare ribs were like bones. They were dried-out, burnt, tough pieces that resembled dog kibble with one exception, the dog couldn't even eat them. The fried rice had a burnt Oder and taste. The shrimp in lobster sauce literally had NO shrimp and was a basically boiled ground pork in a watery tasteless sauce. The crab ran goons had no filling, they leaked out during cooking but we're still served. The chicken finger were all batter and very little chicken. I tried this place years ago when they first opened and haven't been back since. Save your money and taste buds. read more

Bamboo House is our go-to place for reliable, fast and delish Chinese food. They are definitely doing something right here. Everything tastes fresh and nothing is overly greasy, as it tends to be at a lot of other places. The fried rice is a favorite as well as the egg rolls. This is a great little authentic Chinese restaurant. I had been to China once before, and the atmosphere at Bamboo in Franklin reminded me of going to the little "Mom and Pop" shops in China. It's certainly Americanized Chinese food, but they're very quick at preparing their meals for sit-down, take-out and delivery. Exceptional value. Especially good for vegetarians. Because the various meat dishes dont contain much meat. For example, "Spicy Twice-sauteed Pork" has a little bit of very good-quality pork, not all fat & gristle like at Wah Sing. But 1/4 to 1/3 of the pork is diluted with fried tofu in the same sauce, using the tofu as a meat substitute. Nothing wrong with tofu. Except the menu says pork; it doesnt say pork that's cut with tofu. When you knowingly get tofu, their Ma Po Tofu is the best in the area. Egg rolls are good but do not contain any pork or microshrimp, as do most other places' egg rolls. The Hot & Sour Soup is excellent but does not contain any pork shreds as most do. So you will pay a very reasonable price, with a minimum of meat in your dishes. When I asked for a generous portion of bean sprouts, which isnt meat, in my take-out pork fried rice, there were Zero. I would have paid for the sprouts, but the chef couldnt rise to the occasion and could seem to find any. They said yes they could add them but when I got it home, they had not put the sprouts in. I dont know if they charged me extra for the bean sprouts I requested. I hope not, since there werent any. The only thing Ive had there so far that was really terrible was Kung Pao, a well-known Sechuan style. The Kung Pao Beef was the worst I ever saw or ate. For an example, the Mai Pearl in Foxboro has a perfect specimen of Kung Pao Beef; good beef with hot peppers, celery, carrots, perhaps a little onion or traces of other vegetables, and of course, stir-fried peanuts. Mai Pearl's overpriced, but their quality is uncompromised. At Bamboo House, the Kung Pao Beef was terrible. No Peanuts! Its possible there could have been a teaspoon of peanut butter mixed into it but I dont know. But peanuts are Essential in Kung Pao, and at least some celery and some carrots, peas or other bits of vegetable. What I got at Bamboo House: the Kung Pao Beef was, a bare minimum of good quality beef, barely any hot peppers even though I asked for "extra spicy", and a pound of canned bamboo shoots. No Peanuts; No Vegetables, little beef. Very poor excuse for Kung Pao. Summary: prices below average but so is the amount of meat they use. What little meat you get is of fine quality. Terrible Kung Pao, almost no bean sprouts, good Hot & Sour Soup, excellent Ma Po Tofu, excellent friendly service. Some items excellent but what kind of Chinese restaurant doesnt have bean sprouts, or peanuts for the Kung Pao??? read more

They gave me another one without any gripes. Bamboo House is a good place to eat at but if you are getting take out it just does not taste the same. If you decide to get take-out, go for Wah Sing. Bamboo House is reasonably priced, never overcrowded, and the service is very good. (Yes, they know us here too). Definitley get their signature dish (to us)--the Sesame Dumplings. They have a little spice to them and float deliciously in their little dish of sauce. Most of the meals are pretty regular Sichuan inspired dishes but overall the food is definitley above the average. We would give it more a 3.5 star, even leaning towards 4. The Noodles in Hot Meat Sauce is an amazing dish--spivy and filling with a great traditional Sichuan Hot and Spicy flavor. Great for families or just a small group or pair for a quiet dinner and plenty of options on the menu! read more

I love this family owned restaurant. I've been going to Bamboo for over 5 years and the food is consistently very good. i usually order the beef with broccoli, ginger chicken with string beans extra spicy, the fantastic wings and egg rolls. The wings are out of this world... made differently than the usual method you find at all other Chinese food restaurants as it has a little coat of seasoned flour on it. The egg rolls are really yummy. Everything is fresh and delicious here. I think Bamboo is way better than Wah Sing or Hang Tai.. sorry guys. The customer service is very friendly. Shirley, Gerry and mom are usually there to make your experience memorable. The restaurant decor is up to date & has a very nice set-up. Bathrooms are very clean and pleasant. Worst service...we called in our at 7:30 and waited 20 to 25 minutes (which was beyond the 10 to 15 minutes they quoted me when I called). We were laughed at when we arrived like their mistake about our order not being ready was no big deal and told another 10 minutes and 5 dollars off. Just ordered from here. Was delivered in about 15 minutes. Got the sweet and sour chicken, usually the sauce is on the side with a delivery order but it was already on the chicken so it was very soggy. The spare ribs were burnt, and the fried rice had literally no veggies in it. I would defiantly pick another Chinese place over bamboo. read more
