Im so sorry that Miranda is no longer with the salon. This time Libby did my hair (just color) and did a horrible job! . She completely over-processed my hair. Also, she had the audacity to disrespect me in her facebook page and state that my hair was frizzy to begin with. Who disrespects clients like that? And she is the owner! . First of all I'm very particular about my hair and usually go back to NY to the girl who's been cutting my hair forever. I decided to give a place down here a shot that my friend recommended. Made an appointment pretty easily within the next 2 days. When I got there she was still working on somebody which was fine. I ended out waiting about 30 mins before she got to me which I wasn't crazy about but she had apologized saying the girl had asked her to do something that would take a little longer. No worries my hair looked good. A few weeks later the friend who recommend this place had an appointment before we were going to hangout. He waited 45mins before he got in her chair. I was annoyed because I had to sit around and push back plans. I decided to go back (today) a little skeptical of the salons time management skills. Got there right on time she was at the register with some ladies and told me she would be with me in a FEW minutes. Perfect she's just finishing up with them and it'll be my turn. No she come back with another girl with wet hair and starts brushing her hair out! I've been there about 20 mins now and at a minimum I'll probably be waiting what another 20 mins!? NOT OKAY! People make appointments for a reason. I heard her telling the girl in the chair the ladies who just left were almost an hour late. I'm sorry but that shouldn't reflect into future appointments. Either you tell those who are late that you won't get to all of them or you start calling the people coming in to see if you can push them back. After over 20 mins I told the other girl I couldn't wait that's why people made appointments and she said sorry... I left. Don't tell your 3pm appointment you'll be with them in a few minutes when you know you won't. And if you want to kind of cover it up have the other stylist (who was just sitting in a chair next to me) get started on me by washing my hair or something. The salon is cute, she was real nice and the first time I liked my hair so it's a shame they don't know what to schedule appointments and manage their time. I won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there unless they have time to waste sitting around waiting for your turn. read more

Last fall when I was working in Disney, my friend came to work with a great haircut and I asked where she went as I needed a salon in Orlando, too. She recommended Bamboo. Libby gave me the best haircut of my life! I loved my hair so much that when I went back to Orlando last month for a week, I had to go to Bamboo again. However both Miranda and Libby are fantastic at what they do, are highly welcoming, and have created a place that I actually look forward to coming to every 2 weeks. When I moved to Florida two years ago and needed my hair cut I was very nervous about where to get it done. I am very particular with my hair and had gone to the same hair stylist since I was a child, but I was in desperate need of a hair cut and was not about to fly back up north to get it done. I did a little research and called Bamboo Salon and Libby was so kind and accommodating. Libby cut my hair later that week and did such an amazing job! She was able to thin out my very thick hair and make it super manageable for living in the Florida heat! She also did an amazing job on my highlights and fixed my previous stylists coloring mistakes. Needless to say after moving back up north I have yet to find a stylist who has made me as happy with my hair as Libby did! I am moving back to Florida in a few months and Bamboo Salon is going to be one of my first stops when I get there! Libby is talented, professional, and makes getting your hair done a real treat! I had an appointment with Libby today and she gave me highlights and a trim. The ends of my hair were pretty damaged from years of bleaching my hair. I liked that Libby was honest with me and told me that there was a chance of it further damaging my hair. I'm so glad I decided to still go thru with the highlights because my hair turned out feeling healthier than before I walked into the salon! Everyone that works there is very friendly. Some salons I feel uncomfortable because the hairdressers are snobby and judgmental, but I felt very comfortable at this salon. I will definitely be back in a few months for a touch up! read more

Just had my second wash and style with Miranda. The salon is really cool and has great ambiance. Libby and Miranda are so nice and make you feel very comfortable. But the best part is they know what they are doing. I love how soft and beautiful my hair is after she gets thru styling it. I found my American hairdresser :) My hair is VERY important for me and it was necessary to have some colors and highlights in it. Also a fresh haircut was a thing to do... I made by mail a reservation and it was Liddy who did it. Very friendly and man, she is soooo good. I had same pictures with (Victoria Beckham) but she has not much to see to understand what I needed ! Colour is great, highlights are as the sun is in my hair.... Cutted it as I wanted. She gave me a beautiful up-do for a wedding that I attended this past weekend. She was able to take the picture I selected for the up-do and created an unbelievable version of it turning it into her own and a bit more formal for the occasion. I came in to get my hair colored back to my original blonde color. I am here on my internship with Disney and wanted to fit into the "Disney Look" guidelines so I dyed my hair darker to mute my highlights. Once I realized that my boss where I worked didn't care about my hair color, I immediately made an appt. with Bamboo Salon. My appt. was with Chelsea Mills and everything was great. She told me that I couldn't get back to my original blonde-ness with one treatment because it would damage my hair, which is totally true and understandable. She also gave me a really good trim and I was very pleased. I went because it was near my hotel and opens on Mondays. Whatever you can read in the reviews with one or two stars is real. I went for blow-drying with round brush. She blow dried my hair with a comb. As soon as I saw things were not going the way they should, I told her that I want round brush but she told me " this technique is very good; I learned it in a beauty show in NY". When she finished, I told her I was not satisfied with the service. Then she tried to fix it with the round brush and hair spray. And got mad and told me that it would cost me more because of the brush. The reaction you can read when she answers the the reviews is the one you will receive in store if you said something. She doesn't know to handle objections. The place looks nice and the hair products are good. Crap hair style! Waiting for response in 3, 2, 1...! read more

I was excited to call and try this salon after I was referred by a friend. I called to see if they had any walk in appointments available. The gentlemen that answered the phone had an attitude right off the bat. I asked if Libby was available, he told me she was with a client. I asked if she had any openings and he said no. I politely asked if he could take down my info in case she had any cancelations (which I've done countless times with any salon I've ever used without any problems) He let out a huge grown and said sure if you want....like I just asked him to go run a mile or something. I told him to forgot it that I wouldn't be coming. Too bad...I would have have been a every two week customer as they are right by my work. I guess business must be great for them that they can afford to have such poor customer service for first time guests. read more
