En route to ME for my annual Lobsterfest, I stopped overnight in Westford, MA, and the front desk suggested this place. First, the good news. The service was quick, the decor was beautiful, the water was good, the bathroom was spotless and the appetizer fair. Now the bad news. I ordered the Crispy Pad Thai, as I am a huge Pad Thai fan. Unfortunately, the dish was bone-dry and completely devoid of flavor, by far the worst Pad Thai, and my most tasteless restaurant dinner of ANY ethnicity ever. It was analogous to trying to eat damp straw. It appeared and tasted as if they crushed up a pack of the Ramen noodles that form the diet of many college students. I ate the 3 huge(but tasteless) shrimp and the few pieces of chicken that I could find in this mess, a little of the nasty noodles and left the rest. I was going to request sauce and some form of heat to try to make it more palatable, but unfortunately the only time that I saw my server after he delivered my dinner was when he brought the check. I overheard a nearby table extolling the virtues of their Chinese dinners, so maybe their other food is better and I just ordered the wrong entree. But, I will have a whole year to determine if I want to try something else on my next trip, or just write this place off. Let the buyer beware! read more

Bamboo was one of my favorites, not anymore. Last three times we ordered take-out, over $100,00 each time the food was awful. It actually tasted old. Hardly any vegetables in the dishes. Rice was swimming in liquid. Beef was so tough and chewy. They have lost the will to supply good, fresh food. Won't be around much longer if they keep selling this awful food. too bad. I stopped by Bamboo in Westford after a visit to Kimball Farm and had such a lovely experience! I ordered Moo Shi, fried rice, dumplings, and chicken lettuce wraps (forgive me if I got the names slightly off), and everything was absolutely delicious. The presentation was so beautiful it fed my eyes first--I completely forgot to snap a photo before diving in! The service was just as memorable. Our waiter was kind, attentive, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. I had a Shirley Temple and some warm house sake--both hit the spot and paired well with the meal. Overall, Bamboo was the perfect end to a day out. Great flavors, great service, and a cozy atmosphere. I'll definitely be back! read more

We used to love this place, getting takeout probably twice a month for years. Then it got inconsistent. Now it's just universally disappointing. Vegetables always overcooked to mush. Fried rice reheated too many times, oily and congealed. Garlic chicken with NO garlic flavor. Tough, doughy dumplings, bland filling. Soggy, salty moo shi filling. No ginger detectable in shrimp with ginger and scallions. No heat whatsoever in Szechuan dishes. I can't think on one thing I've ordered in the last several visits that I enjoyed. What happened to you Bamboo? I'm giving you a break of a year or two to get your act together. I'll check back maybe in 2026. Or maybe not. Veggie fried rice had no taste. Hot and sour soup was ok. Service was fine but it's the lackluster food which made me give the 3 star rating. read more

I saw their commercial on TV talking about that their buffet is the best. So I drove a hour on Friday. When I asked seating for the buffet, I was told they only have it on the weekend. Nothing on their web site says anything about it just being on the weekend. read more

I haven't been here in a while but last I can remember the food was pretty good. Service is a bit weak unfortunately. Every time my family went we had to wait in a long line even if we had a reservation. The restaurant was constantly noisy. Servers were good and nice. I recommend the beef skewer of the beef and broccoli. The scallion pancakes are good as well. The sushi is amazing and fresh. The meals are a bit expensive though. read more

Nice location, ample space and friendly service. Great place for a strong Mai Tai - diverse menu and a wide range of Asian dishes and beverages. Great place for take out or dining in. Had dinner on Sunday with my husband and left engrossed... The place was empty, except for another table of two people. It was cold, they did have some tower heaters around, so it was ok-ish, although I almost wanted to got out and get my coat from the car. I ordered a Mai Tai, which was good, but at some point my husband who was facing the bar, told me the barkeep was continuously touching his nose, scratching his ears and head, while pushing the ice with his hands in the glasses. Ewww... I couldn't touch the drink anymore. Food came late, I got the Moo Shi, which, by description should've had, beside cabbage, mushrooms, wood ears, dried lily flowers, scallions and scrambled egg. In the reality, it had a couple of green scallion mini pieces, I could see clearly a few portobello mushroom pieces, and a LOT of cabbage. Egh, left it all on the plate. My husband's Mongolian beef came drown in sauteed onions, and you have to pay for rice separately... Normally, when the customer leaves the plates full, the server would ask if it was something wrong with the food, but not this time. She didn't really care. Great gluten free general gau's chicken! Their GF menu was rather limited but what few items they had were delicious. The sushi was extremely fresh and the service was fantastic. I haven't been here is a few years but it was delicious and clean inside just like I remember. They have a Sunday Buffett that has every dish under the sun. I'm afraid this restaurant is going downhill. We went for dinner and had a very bad experience. We were seated in the bar area and the service was extremely slow. When we did get our orders served one dish was Lukewarm the other was cold. I had go to the bar and tell the bartender/waiter that our food was not hot. He took it back to the kitchen and they remade it. But again, it arrived with barely any warmth. I asked to talk with a manager, and none appeared. After a long wait we demanded our check so we could pay and leave. We have eaten here many times over the years, but the service was acceptable to very good. This time we were there for 1 1/2 hours to get cold food put in front of us, twice. And it didn't seem to be a big deal to the staff or management. There are 3 other Asian restaurants on route 110 not far from this place. I think we will be visiting them in the future. There is just no excuse for such a bad dining experience. read more

Went here lastnite. Food was actually decent but the service made the experience completely unbearable. We sat in the lounge area we were completely forgotten about. The couple at the table next to us were going through the same treatment and eventually had enough of it and just left mid way through there meal. After an hour and a half our food finally came out but the waitress basically dropped it and then ran off to never be seen again. She also never brought us your rice and when we asked if we could have it she actually said "o I thought you guys would want that after your entrees?" However that makes sense.. We were then forced to look around the restaurant and retrieve our own silverware and condiments. Won't be back. The service is so terrible that it puts you in a very uncomfortable situation where you are on the edge of your seat debating if you should just leave or not without being rude. Sadly the management was present observing all of this and did nothing about it nor did they care. Complete disappointment. Use better judgment and go to karma down the road. Our visit here was mediocre: food was very good but service was slow. Despite our reservation, we waited 15 minutes to sit down - the dining room was only 1/4 full. Our food took a long time to come out of the kitchen. There are many Asian restaurants to choose from in the area. Many of them have great food with better prices and service than Bamboo. read more

Awful food each time I came here when I was staying in Westford to visit family. For 10 years we went as a tradition and the past few years the foot we get takeout on is just undercooked and gross. Visiting My Family, and straight off of a flight I asked for some good food . Immediately they recommended Bamboo . Kept raving about their House Fried Rice . So I placed an order for the staple, plus Mini Shumai, and their Wonton Soup... and everything was good, followed up 24 hours later with some more. After a day of shopping , and every guys favorite question to their significant other, "What do you want to eat?" ... I had an easy answer . Most people go to the New England area for seafood (that's my goal too) but this gem won my over . So overall I recommend the House Fried Rice, Mini Shumai, Chicken Skewers, and Wonton Soup(they actually give more than 1 wonton too) ... Love it !!! read more

There are certainly newer restaurants in the area; and I rate some of those highly. However, this old standby delivers quality, great service and value, repeatedly. Sushi appetizers, Japanese or Chinese entrees, I've had much from the menu & keep coming back. To top it off, you can get a table here on a Friday or Saturday. No fun waiting in some of the newer places, where you'll get an overpriced cocktail and you can't carry on conversation, due to the background roar. And a bonus, very kind to my 3 year old. The food is not your typical Asian selection, so there is something for everyone. We tried some of their specialty appetizers and they were amazing! Tip for New Years - set your pickup time an hour before you intend to pick up the food. Orders fall over an hour behind and save yourself from standing there waiting. Besides that, food is great. I just wish they had a better system to either keep people informed or not waste their time / plans. read more

Before I go into my complaints about our experience tonight, I want to say Bamboo is our go to Asian cuisine restaurant, and we always had previously felt appreciated by Jeff and the management team. We like Bamboo so much that my wife and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner, and regularly will drive 40+ minutes each way from our place in the city to eat there. We chose to go there tonight as we are expecting a baby in 5 weeks, and are trying to enjoy our relative lack of responsibilities. We are always impressed by the food and tonight was no different. Tonight, the service (or lack thereof) ruined our dinner. Given the pandemic, we fully expect things to take longer being short staffed, but the service each table gets should at least be consistent. Yes, tonight was slow but a non-issue. When we got to the table we felt profiled as not deserving the waitresses best effort (or frankly any effort). Our server (#9 according to our bill) treated us differently than all other customers she had in a few ways: 1) She expected us to box our own food while she did not do this for all other tables. She was not busy, we were her last table of patrons seated (it was no where near closing time) and there was no line at the door. Given my wife is obviously pregnant, an extra half ounce of effort would be nice and not have her box the food 2) The waitress practically ran to the bar when another patron asked for a mai tai, but it took 5+ minutes to get duck sauce. Why is helping her more important than us?! 3) She cleared other tables plates between appetizers and the main course, but not us! We got to eat off our used plates. These combination of events showed that we are second class citizens to her and the establishment. read more
