This was rather a surprise. A kosher Chinese restaurant is an unusual combination, but one with good food? That's even rarer. We were meeting friends from Minnesota in town visiting family. They are kosher so each year, we let them choose where to meet and have an adventure trying a place that we wouldn't normally patronize. They had been here before and liked it. Luckily, they had made a reservation as this small restaurant was absolutely packed with people seated and dining and those waiting for a table. The wait time was 40 minutes. Kosher food is quite expensive especially the meat and poultry. And the menu prices reflected this. They give you crispy noodles to munch on while waiting for your food . They are very good. We started with soups -- a chicken wonton and a hot n sour. We then shared tofu with mixed vegetables. We really liked the entree. It was big enough to share with leftovers to take home. Our friends also got a vegetarian egg roll and an egg drop soup. They had the same entrees that we did. I'm so glad we tried this restaurant. We now have a recommendation to anyone looking for a different type of kosher venue.

Ordered beef with eggplant and garlic and pastrami buns for Father's Day. Asked for less oil and less spice for the main dish. It was inedible. Swimming in brown sauce with NO FLAVOR, we couldn't eat it! I spent $70 for main, appetizer and tip and was so disappointed. Oh well.

We went here unplanned when our original destination was closed. We were pleasantly surprised with high quality food in a comfortable setting. Perhaps not *authentic* Chinese but reliable standbys like mushroom chicken with flavorful black mushrooms, hot and sour soup, and the best fried crunchies I've had anywhere. The interior was quiet and spacious, a nice setting for a family meal out.

Everything we had was delicious. Love the chicken fried rice. The Kung pow chicken was phenomenal. So was the crispy orange peel beef. A bit of a wait, and a little pricey, but worth it.

I come here often with my family for kosher Chinese! The sushi is very fresh and love the broccoli and beef dish! Not cheap but known for a kosher spot.

Tonight, I dined at Kosher BAMBU PAN ASIAN KITCHEN in Boca Raton. Although I'm not kosher, I often visit kosher restaurants in South Florida, and I was excited to try this one due to the rave reviews from friends. Upon arrival, I was promptly served tableside noodles, duck sauce, and a drink. The noodles had very little flavor, but the duck sauce was excellent. The soup, filled with vegetables and chicken, was pretty good, though the chicken wasn't very hot. For my appetizer, I had the pastrami egg roll and beef sticks. The beef sticks were chewy, while the pastrami egg roll was great but could have used more pastrami. I was surprised that, unlike other New York-style Chinese restaurants, there was no complimentary tea service. My main dish, honey chicken, was disappointing; it tasted like dark meat and was chewy and undercooked. A staff member agreed and replaced it with sesame chicken, which was slightly better but still disappointing for a $30 dish. Overall, the sauces and appetizers were great, but the meat quality could use improvement. I would definitely recommend the pastrami egg roll. Additionally, this place is more expensive than other similar restaurants in Boca Raton. Other restaurants at the same price point include soup, dessert, and tea, whereas these are additional charges here, along with an automatic 18% tip for any party size. I recommend exploring other kosher Chinese options in Boca Raton before trying this one. They include tea, soup, and dessert for the same price as a single entrée here. The presentation is excellent and the service was good, but that's about it.

    Chicken Shumai (4)

We were passing through on the way to Orlando and found this place and saw it had good ratings. The prices are super high for what you get and it was not good. The chicken shumai had the texture of rubber. Shumai is supposed to be soft. This was overcooked. We only ate one each. We ordered the honey garlic chicken to split. For $30, you get a moderate size portion, definitely not $30 worth of chicken. The chicken was tough and we couldn't even cut through it. We alerted our server and he did not seem surprised about our complaint. We asked for our check and it was higher than I calculated, so I asked to look at the screen. The shumai was $14.95 on the menu but was $16.95 on the screen. He got that changed and brought it back to us. I then noticed there was an 18% service charge. Was that for the tip? Was it for the restaurant? I had no clue. I left $26.10 (the total for four terrible shumai and two cans of coke) and we left to go find somewhere else to go. It seems like this place is new, so hopefully they figure out how to cook the food properly because they definitely missed the mark this time.

Finally a kosher Chinese food to satisfy an eager customer. Food is fresh, crunchy and flavorful.

Started with the most beautiful…read morefried artichokes I've ever seen--the leaves were spread like blossomed flowers which made them so delicate with a light crisp. The heart was rather small but it was deliciously paired with a cilantro lime aioli and a fresh squeeze of lemon. We also had the French toast and a creamy mushroom truffle toast, both with thick slices of Japanese milk bread. These were both generous portions and quite filling. I especially loved the mushroom toast was loaded with mushrooms and full of umami. The restaurant is fresh and bright with a comfortable elegance and the staff were all attentive, welcoming, and friendly.

AVOID MOTEK BOCA RATON AT ALL COSTS…read more I made a reservation and provided my credit card as required. Approximately 90 minutes before the reservation, Motek texted me to say the restaurant's air conditioning was not working. I canceled only because of the conditions they reported and specifically asked for confirmation that I would not be charged the $40 reservation fee. Motek assured me in writing that I would not be charged. They charged me anyway. Since then, I have sent two emails, left five voicemails, and made approximately 20 unanswered phone calls. Not one person from the restaurant has acknowledged the issue or offered any assistance. I have now been forced to open a fraud claim with my bank. Even more disturbing, my bank informed me that Motek apparently processed the charge as a recurring monthly payment--not simply a one-time reservation charge. I never authorized Motek to establish recurring payments of any kind. Charging me after explicitly promising not to do so was unacceptable. Refusing to respond after dozens of attempts to resolve the issue has made the situation even worse. I will never give this restaurant my business, and I will actively warn others about this experience. Any establishment that requires access to customers' credit cards should be held accountable for how that information is used. Based on the unauthorized charge, its apparent designation as a recurring payment, and management's complete failure to respond or be reachable by phone, web, or email, I strongly recommend avoiding Motek Boca Raton.
