We were sick and we felt like eating light. So we ordered hot and sour soup and mapo tofu. The mapo tofu was too spicy, it had lot of red chili and jalapeño and didn't taste like mapo tofu. We also got the hot and sour soup and it was too vinegary and just didn't taste good. We're very disappointed with the food. read more

I've seen Midori for a few years now and finally decided to try it for dinner one evening. My hubby and I were greeted by a kind server and we ordered the kung pao chicken, mapo tofu, and Sichuan green beans. We absolutely loved the green beans! Super delicious and it had that great wok flavor that we all love in Chinese food. The kung pao chicken and mapo tofu were pretty good too, but we thought both could've been spicier. The flavor was all in the sauce for the mapo tofu, but not in the tofu itself. I didn't mind the ambiance too much inside but it was kind of dark inside. Anyone that I talk to you about this place all agreed the quality of the food is exceptional and my dining experience corroborated that. This is where a local friend wanted to go to for their birthday and they could've gone anywhere and they wanted to come here . My dining companion was a little confused on the menu because they knew what they wanted, but they forgot what it was called. The owner spent all the time needed to make sure that they were ordering exactly what they wanted. We have the Mongolian beef. We have the Szechuan fried pork and chicken fried rice. Once we actually ordered everything came out very quickly was hot and fresh and was delightful I'm not the best person for telling you if something is spicy or not because I have a high tolerance . Both of the meat items that we got were supposed to be spicy, but I didn't actually detect any heat. The flavor though was wonderful, and there was no problem with the amount of food provided the texture or the taste . From looking at their menu, they also do dumplings and steamed items that you would normally find at a dim sum restaurant, which I thought that would be fun to try next time If you're able to locate them, I recommend to give them a shot read more

My husband and I eat here at least once a month and absolutely love this restaurant. Today we had lunch with two friends and ate family style: sticky rice, shrimp dumplings, steamed BBQ pork buns, salt and pepper chicken wings, asparagus beef, chicken with bok choy and mushrooms, and garlic eggplant. July 25 ,2026 I wanted to try a new Chinese restaurant in Tracy. I picked this restaurant by the stars. Big mistake I ordered the broccoli and beef. The broccoli was soggy. The meat was soggy too. It was disgusting. My rice was half white and half pork fried rice it was supposed to be all pork fried rice no flavor . The vegetables and the fried rice was hard no love in the food.! We had lunch here last week, and the standout dish was the spicy green beans with black bean sauce. They're so smokey flavored and full of umami! They tasted grilled, but Mama said it's just the commercial grade stove on extremely high heat, and they flash cook in 2 mins. Most of the food comes out so quickly, without being greasy. Our beef chow fun, garlic noodles, and steamed sole were, as usual, also delectable and satisfying. We ate so fast and didn't take any pics! The vegetarian had the spicy garlic eggplant that was not spicy at all. It could have used more spice but the flavor was good.
