Food was fresh and delicious but not worth the price. I love the idea of having personalized side salad option and brown rice as an option. However without a drink I still paid $15 for the bowl.

Haven't been to Banana King in a very long time (location in Paterson, 10+ years). Decided to get some food before heading home. Food: Oof. The strawberry shake was fantastic, but that's where it ends. Arepas were average, everything else was beyond bland, even terrible. Aesthetic: for something that has been open for not too long, seeing a few broken booths was not pleasant. Floor and counters were clean. Service: I did service last this time because the biggest redeeming factor was how polite and kind the workers were. Very nice and patient.

Great place! Open 24/7! Easy to access location. Tasty food! Extremely friendly customer service. And yea their restroom is Clean - from capital "C". Five stars for every single of my total of $36.00 bucks spent! Thank you!

The Ham Arepa Combo (I put no Mayo and no special sauce in the notes) GROSS!!! DISGUSTING!!

This place is DISGUSTING!!!!! We ordered through Uber eats. Tried a few items. The chicken sandwich, the arepa with ham, the flan and an empanada. All arrived cold, soggy, made incorrectly and gross. I made it super clear in the notes "no mayo and no special sauce" and the arepa arrived like a sloppy mess (see photo). I also said "no Mayo" in the notes for the crispy chicken sandwich and it came with Mayo, cold and soggy... the lettuce was wet and gross. This place has a lot of room for improvement.

Went on a cold wet night after work. Curious about the new spot in the hood. New spots are always welcome around the 5 corners area. We ordered 2 combos. Chicken and fries #10, a steak patacon and mango shakes. We liked the chicken and fries. Fries were crispy and done well. The chicken was too not dry. We didn't enjoy the steak patacon. We found it very oily. Ordering was quick. They were helpful with our questions. The combos with shake are $9 dollars each. Higher than what I would pay for the type of food. Decor is sparse, bright yellow and green paint. Overall a plain experience for food and service.

The food is good , service is good and ambiance here is better than all other Banana Kings in NJ The negative comments all have Uber Eats in common Want fresh food ? Make it or get up and go out Smoothies are my favorite ( banana king smoothie ) if you like passion fruit you'll love it and the combination of strawberry and banana I'd recommend as something quick and not so pricey

4 stars for a fast food joint. I am familiar with the chain, so for me it really wasn't a surprise for me. A lot fried food options. A lot of different empanadas option & plent of smoothie choices. I have the steak patacon as seen in my picture. It was great. This really isn't a sit down romantic meal. It's a quick grab and go. I recommend a shake with everything, it's one of their "specialties ". Friendly workers, lively music. Good in my books

Stopped over in New Jersey just to try what they say is the best shakes ever... I had the #MorirSoñando #thisguyhadthechocolateshake and #bananashake #Bananaking it was as good as everyone describes... creamy, tasty, filling and worth the trip... - only reason why they did not get 5 stars was the lack of customer service from their staff.. not sure if the other locations are like this but we were on our way back from the poconos back into Brooklyn when we turned around right before the tunnel to try these guys... I also had the Patacon of steak which was amazing .... - a tip!!!!! Food taste so much better when your customer service is just as good.... my money goes a long way and if I like a place I'll return.. only thing is... if customer service sucks I will not .. no matter how good the food is ... Happy Yelping & Thank me Later

    Cold hard food

Just ordered through uber eats....food was frozen cold, and they sent the wrong items. Usually this restaurant does really well...but today order sent didnt seem like there usual stuff at all. Sad to say will not be spending money there again.

Since we were big fans of those alcohols, we decided to check it out. The walls of the space were covered in colorful murals with Latin American imagery. There were banquettes along either wall with small tables and ottomans scattered in front of them, providing separate, little areas for each group. Large playing cards were fanned across each table with Jack, Queen, King, and Ace cards each having a menu on its backside. There were bar bites, a spirits list, classic cocktails that could be reimaged with your agave spirit of choice (picture a tequila mojito), and even a custom beverages. The creative drinks were not cheap, coming in at around $20 on average, but they certainly were complex! My La Balacara featured Casamigos Mezcal, spiced pear, Luxardo, orange, ginger, chestnut honey, and a chili tincture. I thought the drink sounded outrageous, but, sadly, all I tasted was that honey, the ingredient of which I was least interested. In fact, the smokiness of the mezcal really did not play well with the chestnut honey, leaving it to taste sort of like licorice. I was not a fan. My companion's El Encanto included Casamigos Cristalino, Lillet Blanc, strawberry-lemongrass cordial, guava, and basil, which sounded herbaceous, but really just tasted like a fancy daiquiri. He enjoyed it, but I found it unimpressive. Our drinks were accompanied by a complementary bowl of spiced popcorn, which was delicious. We had come from an earlier dinner, so the snack was as much as I needed. However, the few larger food items that I saw others order all looked great. While I would go back to Perico to try some other items, I felt like I had had better, more affordable cocktails upstairs at Panela.

It's located right across the street from a large park and the area is very lively and family oriented. The service is consistently outstanding, the food is also fresh every time. The menu is so expensive there's a little something for everyone. And the drinks are always great. Reservation can be made, but we almost always get a table when walking in. They sing happy birthday to you with instruments, making it a great place for a birthday celebrations. My favorite dishes: - empanadas (chicken or guava/cheese), the hot sauce on the side is SO good - pork tamale - garlic shrimp (comes with soft bread for dipping) - pitcher of white passion fruit sangria (way better than getting individual glasses) - skirt steak/churrasco - chicharron de pollo (crispy, juicy chicken bites)

this review is from last friday as i forgot to check in!…read more wanted to try this place for the longest as my coworkers always talked how great this location is. so why not? it is about a 16 minute walk from the path station (newport) it's really not that bad of a walk (for those who don't mind walking that is) okay got to the restaurant and it was picking up as this was the start of the dinner hour. No live music but they were playing spanish music which sets the mood greatly. now if you wanted a quieter setting i'd advice eating outside, from the music playing and the groups of people having loud conversations it was a bit hard of hearing when i was asking the waiter questions. so we order the Tamal En Hoja (one) and no i completely forgot to take photos :( very soft and not too dense and i do enjoy pickle onions on top! okay for each of us: one had Vaca Frita, one had Masitas De Puerco, and our child had Camarones Ajillo. i have the Vaca Frita which came in the cup made of crispy plantain chips. Meat was not salty (thank the stars i'm on a low sodium diet because of my Bp so i was enjoying this) with the arroz moro and the side of lime was amazing. the family did enjoy their meal as we did not wait to long for the food to come. the nose level increased and it was definitely harder to hear what the waiter was asking us. but that's okay we all enjoyed ourselves. what i DID get a pic of was the desserts: Tres Leches and Flan con coco Tres Leches was good (not too sweet and the added chocolate balls made it good too) Flan con coco kind dens but flavor was there and i love coconut (it's coconut flakes on top) I will come back and try a different dish and maybe eat outside. for those who can't handle loud noises best to have earplugs (loop) or eat outside i guess. the staff treated us nicely and my son and i do look for that in places i go to make sure everyone is treated well and respected.

In my quest to explore the various cuisine scenes throughout Jersey City and specifically the Heights, I made my way to Noches de Colombia. Established by a family who migrated to the United States in 1997, their small test American dream project in New Jersey came to life. They realized that variety of food and love were the keys to a quality restaurant experience. The restaurant was the ideal hang-out for the local community and offered the perfect combination of music, conversation and TVs for the quintessential soccer fans around the world. As this was right next to "squirrel park" where the lil black beast loved to take walks, I constantly saw this business. Would I plan to share "futuro noches con comida de Colombia" with my friend!?
