Noches de Colombia has always been a great spot for the occasional dinner or guava pastry. After a recent party we were hosting got a few extra guests, we decided to add a few trays of food from Noches to the table. So happy we did! The rice and chicken was a hit, the guacamole was delicious and the shrimp in garlic sauce was my personal favorite of the night. We placed the order a few days prior and had it ready for pick up an hour or so before friends planned to arrive. We had a hiccup with one of the trays of shrimp and rice getting subbed for a second tray of chicken and rice, but we didn't have time for them to fix the mix up so two trays of chicken it was. It did leave us with A LOT of one thing, but it was still delicious so not a huge problem. If you are looking for great food and a casual space, you'll like it here. read more

We talked to the manager who had no sympathy at all for the damage. She claimed that the restroom are a public area and they aren't responsible. Was recommended to try this place while visiting a friend and it lived up to the hype! We ordered takeout since we were too lazy to eat out and we're glad we did. When we picked up the order, the restaurant is small but packed. There's a homely vibe inside and there are pastries upon pastries upon pastries in the display. I had the paisita (middle left with the egg) and it gave me a little sample of everything. The chicharron was nice and crispy, the grilled steak was juicy, the chorizo was flavorful, and the plantain hidden under the avocado added a bit of sweetness to the dish. When all of these paired with the savory rice, it hit the spot! The variety of food kept your taste buds asking "what's next?" If I came back here again, I would easily order this. As for the arroz con pollo (bottom left), it was also a great dish. If you're looking to get full and get some protein in, this dish is perfect. There's plenty of rice, plenty of soft and moist shredded chicken, and the vegetables added a different texture, making it satisfying. The fried yuca (top) and fried green plantain (top left), and empanadas (top right) were also top tier. The fried yuca is almost like a polenta but with more substance, the fried green plantain added a crunch and sweetness, and the empanadas were crunchy and meaty. As for the chicken salad (middle right) and carne asada arepa (bottom right) I didn't taste those but my friends enjoyed it Not pictured is the pan de queso that looks like a bagel but it's soft and hollow. Once you bite into it, the cheese coats your tongue and suddenly, you're appreciating the cheese flavor and it's not overbearing at all. It also tastes as if it's a bit sweet too. Started a new journey in jersey and saw this Columbian restaurant and missing some Columbia food, decided to give this place a try, well honestly should have read the first but hey looked good plenty of people in it, so why not try it right? Walked in, it's first a backerky and then lead to a bar and more seating for the restaurant. The menu is pretty hearty with plenty of options drinks and food wise. It took awhile to be attended to even for simple drinks it took some time. Finally getting our food, they were huge plates which was great as we didn't eat breakfast yet that day. I had the chicarron with yellow rice and beans my partner had their steak. I thought my meal was decent as you can't mess it up too much but my partners steaks was chewy and rice was too sticky for Spanish rice. Overall foood was a 5 out of 10. Service 3 out of ten. This place is amazing! Im surprised by the poor reviews. I thought the wait staff were excellent. We were a party of 4, non Spanish speakers. And while yes, a lot of the staff speak mainly Spanish I didn't find it hard to communicate and they were so warm and welcoming. They have a really nice covered outside area. Can't order alcohol outside yet but after we ate dinner we just went inside to the bar and it was great. 6 o'clock on a Saturday was busy but not crowded. You can get a table. The prices are so affordable. And portions are huge! Their menu has pictures for every dish! I love that. And it looks exactly like it does in the picture. I got a salad with skirt steak on top and it was huge! All the veggies where fresh and I really liked the onions, I think they were pickled or something. The steak was cooked exactly how I ordered and was marinated beautifully. Had a great flavor and only 1 slice of it was chewy. My fiance had the whole fried snapper and it came with a salad too. And he loved it. My friends liked their dishes as well. The presentation of the food is so professional. Every plate is so well organized and looks so mouth watering. I think I saw that they have happy hour during the week until 6pm with half off drinks. That's so good! You can then get a pina colada for $6 The bar tender knows her stuff. I really felt like their was love put into my drink. Just watching her prepare every drink she did it so meticulously. She also wiped the counter frequently and kept the bar nice and clean. And there was a lot of alcohol in my pina colada for only $12! I really liked the nice touches with the garnishes as well. It had a cherry and pineapple poking out of the glass and coconut shavings all over. A lot of other bars don't really garnish but this place does and I appreciate that! I tried some of my fiances passion fruit margarita and lime margarita. Both were excellent. So refreshing. And none of the cocktails were overally sweet. They were playing some sort of fail video channel over the bar. As well as a UFC game. The fail videos where actually pretty fun to watch. Another TV had pictures of their dishes. I was pleasantly surprised. They also gave us a side of 3 different sauces and the spicy one was a perfect combination. It was too much food, so I had leftovers for later. Comparing to the other Noches de Colombia in Englewood, this one is way faster and I could say better... Better because since service is faster you start your night with the right foot and leave any desperation for the end, just in case you need to use it. I hate waiting looooong time when it comes to restaurants. I rather make a reservation three weeks in advance than having to wait 2 hours to be seated. We didn't encounter any issues with any kind of "wait" in our visit to this location, unlike the other location in Englewood. Food came out pretty quick and everything was delicious. My boyfriend had an issue with his lime juice, where apparently they added salt to it instead of sugar, (it was hilarious), but our waitress solved it within 5 minutes and brought him a whole new juice. The carne asada consisted of two large thin marinated steaks, grilled to perfection. The eggs were soft in the center but not runny (probably from the residual heat of the delivery). A side pan had the chorizo and chicharrones. The chorizo was strongly seasoned with various flavors and spices. The chicharrones were greasy but went well with the rice. 3.5 stars. Our household is 50% Colombian, so when homesickness or a national holiday approaches, Noches is the closest Colombian food for us. We have eaten in the restaurant and also had delivery. The food has always been consistent for us: large portions for higher than typical prices for Colombian food, so dishes often work for next day leftovers as well. My Colombian better half always orders Bandeja Paisa, the Medellin favorite dish of steak, sausage, chicharron, rice, beans, avocado, and fried egg. Yes, it is everything on a dish and the portion is massive and happiness (and nap) inducing. I'm less of a meat eater, so I usually start with a mora/blackberry juice. You can choose between water or milk base, I choose water and it is always tasty. For my entree, I sometimes order a massive plate of shrimp, tomato sauce, onions, green peppers, and french fries - a hearty and tasty dish. I recently tried the grilled salmon with breaded jumbo shrimp entree, served with guacamole, potato, and green plantain. That may become my regular order. Fried yucca is a sometimes starter for us. Tres leches for dessert usually completes the meal, like I said, this is a special (Colombian) occasion place for us. First time coming to this location. Fast service and huge portions! The sangria is a great deal--only $25 for a whole pitcher! It was super refreshing and they didn't cheap out with a ton of ice. Got an assorted appetizer to try a variety of things. Loved the empanadas with the sauces and also the chicharon of course. My main course was a bit heavy. The actual portion looks bigger than the picture. There was also way more cheese than I expected, so in the future I would ask for less. I was only able to finish half of it.
