I don't know the name of the different food. I know one is pickled dill, cucumbers, and cabbage salad I think it was a number three

The food tasted so fresh. I love pierogies and they were some of the best. I Also loved the chicken crepe. The cabbage side was so crisp and delicious. I want to try everything on the menu!

Decided to church them out on my lunch break. I ordered the borscht comb with a garlic roll, feta & herb Pyrizhok, with a side of cucumber garlic salad and everything tasted good. The service was quick and the lady managing the front counter was nice.

A well-fed family. We had borscht, Ukrainian roll, and a parajak. It was delicious and I would recommend it to everybody

Glad I stopped by here, nice option to have inside a mall. I got a combo that included Varenyky, Banderyky, Pickled Cabbage Salad and sour cream. The Varenyky is potato and cheese dumplings. These were yummy, the dough wasn't too thick and good amount of filling. The Banderyky is a crepe filled with ground chicken. This is something new to me, it reminded me of a chicken patty but it had a thin crepe covering it. Pretty good. The Banderyky and the Varenyky were topped with some caramelized onions. The pickled cabbages salad wasn't too vinegary, pretty light and refreshing. There's some dill and bell peppers added to it. The portion sizes for the price of the food is good, it's affordable. I will definitely come back here to try other dishes they have.

First time having Ukrainian food and it's delicious! I got their banderyky, which is a dumpling with potato and cheddar filling. The slaw it comes with is so delicious and so is the butter onion sauce. The dish also comes in large portion. Will be coming back to try their other dishes!

Today I wanted to try out the new Ukrainian food shop in the Vancouver Mall, and I was so happy they finally opened. We started with two pyrizhok (one with pork and one with beef). The pastry dough was flaky and perfect, and the meat inside was still moist and flavorful but didn't make the pastry soggy. It was delicious. We also got an order of the banderyky, the toasted crepes filled with chicken. These were amazing. They were light and soft, yet very flavorful and delicious with both their house sauce and sour cream. We will definitely be back. Everything is affordable and the staff are super friendly. A great addition to the mall food court :)

If you are looking for delicious, homemade food this is the place. A few months ago, I was at the Vancouver Mall and just didn't feel like eating all the usual, greasy options available at the food court. So, I decided to try something new and gave Banderyky a try. I had never had Ukrainian food before and to be honest wasn't even familiar with it but I am so glad I gave it a chance. I honestly can't say enough good things about their food. Everything my husband and I have tried is amazing. We crave it and go out of our way to go get it about once a week. Some stand outs are the chicken soup, all their salads, and their name sake, the banderyky. My husband always gets their cabbage rolls and my kids especially like the chicken cutlet with mashed potatoes and gravy. All this and the service is incredibly friendly. Please give them a try, you won't regret it.

#7 Prizhok with Beef, #4 Holubtsi cabbage rolls with sour cream and Additional caramelized onions, #3 Borsht

Worth going into the mall for . I really wanted to have the potato and cheddar pockets topped with caramelized onions and sour cream with a side of sour kraut, but it was too big for me to eat without someone else to help . The cabbage rolls are yummy . The Prizhok with beef was much more flavorful than expected. Whatever they use to spice the beef is wonderful. The borsht was also very good. I look forward to coming back with company so I can try some of everything. After tasting the beef filling I can only imagine that everything they have will be packed with flavor .

What a hidden gem of a place! I had the combo #2 plate and could tell immediately everything was home made / from scratch. The banderyky were rich yet not greasy. The side salad was super crisp and refreshing and wish they sold it by the quart! If you're craving comfort food you must come here!

Salad combo went great with my leftover meatloaf.

I ordered the salad combo (#5). All the salads are delicious! The combo provides a variety of flavors and textures, from the crisp, bright shredded cabbage salad to the velvety beet salad. The fresh pickles are crunchy and well-seasoned. The garlic rolls (a side item) are light and fluffy. The server was kind, cheerful, and efficient. I'll be back!

They were both very dry and flavorless with only carrot and cabbage filling. Barely any sauce and no flavor. Hard to eat due to being so dry very bland to the taste. Please add more flavor to your meats and add maybe some marinated veggies , tomato's and definitely add much more flavors sauces. Look forward to trying a more flavorful shawarma next time!!!

Parking was easy but if it gets busy there's limited formal parking spots. I had a hard time deciding (everything sounded so good!) so I asked for recommendations. The gal mentioned the most common met and vegetarian dishes--for the meat, she recommended chicken dumplings and for vegetarians the cheese pierogis. I was quoted a 10 min wait time so I would expect a longer wait time if there was actually a line. I'm more used to Asian variations of these types of dumplings. It came with a container of sour cream and it added a layer of hearty deliciousness I wasn't used to but was a rich treat. It was a fabulous comfort lunch on a chilly rainy day. I'll happily come back with some coworkers the next time I'm on that side of town!

Julia provided fantastic service to our birthday party of four on a busy Friday evening…read more Julia was especially accommodating by providing samples of two wines before Donna selected her favorite. My birthday celebrant nephew and I ordered a Czech bottled beer that was refreshing and a true pilsner. Our niece enjoyed a real Georgian peach soda. For appetizers, the classic cheese/egg yolk bread offering was amazing! Main courses included two roast pork plates, spectacular salmon, and, my favorite, grilled lamb. Desserts ran the gamut... All were splendid! Ours was a repeat visit to Dediko, and we will return to enjoy the fabulous food, considerate service, and ambiance that, "Back in the day," still reflects the vibe from Bill Marshall Ford's architecture. Best wishes for continued success! Sincerely, Andy & Donna Gregg.

Pear lemonade soda: kinda like Italian cream soda, but somehow better. Satsivi (chicken in Walnut sauce): I've never tasted anything quite like it, chicken was tender, and the spices were unique; fantastic. Khinkali (meat dumplings): large soup/meat dumplings, chewy, and the meat tasted like a warm hug from grandma! Adjaruli Khatchapuri: so rich and the cheese is salty similar to Akkawi cheese. Mtsvadi (Lamb): best grilled Lamb I've ever had, and I consider myself a Lamb expert! And for the dessert; the Honey Cake will haunt my dreams. I'm not a big dessert lover, and I loved this. A shortbread cake, with perfect texture that's not too sweet. Can't recommend this place highly enough. I will be returning many times!

There was substantial indoor and heated outdoor seating, which I appreciated. After I ordered, my food came out in about 10 minutes. You can also order dessert dumplings filled with a sweet cheese mixture and topped with sweetened sour cream and strawberry jam. (The pic on the website shows fresh strawberries chocolate sauce). I wanted to try more than one kind of dumpling and asked if I could have a mixed order. I got potato and then asked the woman in the cart if beef or chicken was better. She recommended chicken as it's more authentic. I enjoyed them very much. I also wanted to try the dessert dumplings. I had to order a large serving, just to try them. It doubled the cost of my lunch, which totaled $30 with tax. That was way too much for one person for lunch! For me to return I would encourage the following: 1. Hire more help. My food took close to half an hour, because only one person was covering the lunch rush on a sunny warm day. (I was on my lunch break. Lunch at a food truck should be quick. 2. Offer a half order of the dessert dumplings. 3. Improve the website. There are nice pictures but no prices. You have to choose pickup or delivery to view the actual menu.
