Hi so we were very excited to finally try this food cart for the first time. I bought a chicken and a beef shawarma for my mom. Sad today we were very disappointed. They were both very dry and flavorless with only carrot and cabbage filling. Barely any sauce and no flavor. Hard to eat due to being so dry very bland to the taste. Please add more flavor to your meats and add maybe some marinated veggies , tomato's and definitely add much more flavors sauces. Look forward to trying a more flavorful shawarma next time!!! read more

I was nearby for work and this popped up highly rated and a very short drive. I came for lunch on a weekday and there was no line. Parking was easy but if it gets busy there's limited formal parking spots. I had a hard time deciding (everything sounded so good!) so I asked for recommendations. The gal mentioned the most common met and vegetarian dishes--for the meat, she recommended chicken dumplings and for vegetarians the cheese pierogis. I was quoted a 10 min wait time so I would expect a longer wait time if there was actually a line. I'm more used to Asian variations of these types of dumplings. It came with a container of sour cream and it added a layer of hearty deliciousness I wasn't used to but was a rich treat. It was a fabulous comfort lunch on a chilly rainy day. Visited Foodmania today for lunch. We ordered the beef shawarma, cabbage pierogis, borscht soup and bulochka. The food was amazing, my wife and I really enjoyed everything we ordered. We are looking forward to coming back and trying out other menu items. The young lady working was very friendly and helpful with helping us decide what to order. I had the borscht soup. The portions are generous and it had a delicious hearty flavor without being heavy. Soup came with two pieces of good brown bread and I think sour cream on the side. Friendly service and everything appears to be clean. There are two shaded small tables available if you want to eat on-site. read more

A red hidden food truck right behind Morton's & next to starbucks that serves comfort homemade Ukrainian food. The lady was so nice and friendly. I got a potato pierogies & blackcurrent crepe. It tasted very good. Potatoes pierogies was soft and chewy and a touch of savory from the sour cream. Crepe wasn't too sweet either just the right amount of sweet & tart, and cheesiness. Everything tasted like a homemade meal. The lady was so sweet to give me a free cherry pastry as if she knows I wanted it. I would love to come back and try other savory items and soup! read more

This was my first time to this little hidden gem. The service was perfect. And the beautiful young lady working took my breath away with her smile. I ordered the chicken dumplings which were bit sized, tender and delicious with the sour cream. I also had the Mediterranean crepe. I was not sure what to expect. But was very please with it. This is some of the best food I've ever eaten in my life. In fact, I loved it so much I came back again the very next day. I was a little embarrassed because the owner recognized me immediately from less than 24 hours ago. But the Miss Piggy in me forged on through the shame nevertheless. (Just for science, of course.) Firstly I want to say that this food cart is underpriced. This woman really should raise her prices. It's a LOT of delicious food packed into a $10 crepe. The first day I got a chicken meatball-and-potato soup and the Mediterranean crepe. The soup is one of the top 5 things I have ever eaten in my life. The only way to get broth to have that depth of flavor like that is to cook those chicken bones for hours and hours, which Valentyna clearly did. She has 2-3 soups on rotation on any given day. The next thing I had was the Mediterranean crepe, which was the most wonderful explosion of delicious flavor confusion my mouth has ever known. Never have I ever had anything quite like this -- an ever-so-slightly-sweet-and-buttery crepe on the outside but with magical savory goodness with a unique special sauce on the inside. My mouth and brain were, like, "I don't even know what is going on here -- this is both savory AND sweet at the same time -- but I sure do like it!" The next day I came back for more soup, some Eastern European potato salad (which has fun peas that pop in your mouth), and I don't even know what all else. It was all a food haze at that point. :D The next time I go, I am for sure hitting up the Nutella crepe. Really want to like this place. Friendly service. I ordered a salmon crepe. Look great, I took a picture before I ate it, but when I took a bite it was Salty salty salty!. I'm not talking about the food just a little bit on the salty side, it's like She might've dumped a bowl of salt in my crepes SALTY. The lady that works here makes amazing Eastern European comfort food. My mom has brought home some of her food before, but this time I just ordered potato pierogis for myself, which were hot and chewy and very flavorful! I think the chef felt bad that I was waiting in the sun for awhile, so she gave me a free pastry, which was also a really nice treat :) Both the pierogis and the pastry were great and tasted very homemade.
