    Falafel gyro

The falafel gyro was delicious! They make the falafel fresh when ordered so it was super moist. I added tzatziki and hummus. Celiac husband enjoyed the chicken platter with no issues! Service was quick and friendly. Seating was as expected for a strip mall eatery.

I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. Great food, friendly service and overall just a fantastic place to come and eat. Wish they had a location on the east side but it's with the drive for quality food. Thank you for a great meal and friendly service. We will be back again.

    Trio Platter

Ate here for the first time tonight and decided to go with the whole shebang, the trio platter. The order came with a salad, yellow rice, and kebab of each: chicken, lamb, and kafta (beef/minced'ish). The salad was fresh, the rice was ok, and the kebabs were great! My son has never been a huge fan of lamb, but I did give him a couple pieces to try and he said a couple times in the way home how it was so good and so tender. The seasoning in the meat seemed a little lighter than I've had from other places, but the meat quality seemed a lot better and when I was finished with my meal, I didn't feel so bogged down and I def wasn't having any indigestion and burping up spices all night. Lol The cost is probably a little higher than other gyro places I've frequented, although, I Heart Gyro is a lot cleaner and nothing I touched was sticky or stained. Service was fast and friendly to top it all off. Will be back the next time I get the craving for this style of food.

Came to I Heart Gyro for a late lunch and love it! The service was exceptional and efficient. There is plenty of room for large groups and they are welcomed. The food was phenomenal! All that was had was very tasty and ample. Kudos to all! We will be back! Enjoy! :)

Sour cherry "specialty drink" (non alcoholic)

I stopped in here for lunch. I got a lamb (which also contained beef) gyro with spicy garlic sauce and a "specialty" beverage, which was sparkling water with a syrup. I got sour cherry. Both the gyro and drink was tasty. They also have plates with combos that looked good but I didn't want to spend that much for lunch ($18-25.00). My gyro was big enough that I took the last 1/4 home for later. This is a walk up & order at the counter place and there isn't much ambiance. The prices don't fit with the ambiance. I paid $18 for my gyro & drink & tip for lunch. Maybe I'm the only one that thinks that is a little high? For that and the higher priced menu items I would expect a nicer atmosphere, I guess. While I was there several grub hub-type drivers picked up food.

BEST MEAL IN PORTLAND!!!!!…read more Saw this place randomly while looking for a place to eat after a long flight. It was late and not many places were open. This place was closed but a middle eastern place that serves cheesecake was soo intriguing that i knew i needed to come back. Came back Saturday night and they had no tables and was packed. However, they tried to accommodate us so much. However, the night was in our favor. As we started to order take out, a lady was kind enough to give up her table since she was eating alone. It was a small table for 3 people but the staff was sooo accommodating i have no words. They even gave free dessert to the lady who was kind. Then luck would have it, the table next to us never showed up for their reservation so they gave us that table. Finally, we ordered. Turned out, i also got the last shawarma too. Everything happens for a reason! We also got the Saudi chicken kabsa and cheesecakes. The biggest compliment i can give is when the food came, none of us talked for a good 5-7 mins and just sat there in heaven eating. The flavors were soo unique but yet so familiar. If this is Saudi food, i have been missing out. I need to explore more sub categories of middle eastern cuisine. Best bites in Portland for us and that's all i have to describe our experience. Finally, got the Nutella cheesecake and almond caramel cheesecake. I have to say, Nutella was good but easily a skip compared to almond and caramel. Just get 2 of those and you'll be happy. The cakes itself are light and not heavy. They were great end to a great meal. This is a family owned but family loved business. You can see the love as they serve their guests but you can taste the love too. The people are soo sweet and kind and just want to serve you. Please give your love here, because if i lived in Portland, this would my weekly spot.

I am going back next week to try the other half of the menu and cannot wait! This is a must- go restaurant as there is something for everyone, vegan, vegetarian or carnivore The cheesecakes? I had the lemon mint and the staff's expert coal management (coconut charcoals--the best) was precise and allowed the shisha to toast evenly and completely with absolutely no effort on our part. Very kind to the lungs, too. Hookah had a perfect long handled mouthpiece with several one-use interchangeable inserts for multiple users as one prefers. Silicone hose, everything sanitary and in top condition. Great ventilation and atmosphere, nice mix of beats on the sound system which while lively was not intrusive and definitely stimulated conversation and relaxation at the same time. Great selection of flavors and drinks--we had lots of water and Gatorade to rehydrate and the prices were reasonable throughout. I had recently eaten but next time I will sample more of their goodies. Nice dim decor with a low-key disco vibe--lots of interactive lights with music--and plenty of space.
