So happy to add "I Heart Gyro" to our list of Mediterranean restaurants! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's easy to get to, the dining room is medium sized w/booths, it's clean inside & out and the food is delicious![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Plus, I love going into places where the employees seem genuinely happy to work there & this place is no different. We were greeted warmly, questions were answered & in spite of ordering at a counter, they didn't forget about us. They brought drinks & silverware to the table, then checked up on us a couple of times during our meal. They have a menu with several choices, the portions were generous enough that we had plenty to bring home for another meal. If you're into "clean eating", this is a great example. The food and sauces aren't OVERLY salted or seasoned, but just right. You can taste the actual flavors of the food, which was so refreshing! This is the second time coming to try the Chicken Gyro. The first time I thought it was really good! The first time they had nice big chunks of chicken breast that were charred just right. This time it was just chicken strips and I felt that they barely grilled them. There wasn't much charred taste to them. I tried the plain garlic sauce this time. it was OK, but I really liked the spicy garlic sauce that I got in my the first Gyro better. It was more flavorful.. I also got a small order of their fries. Must say the fries were pretty good. However, at over $17 ane charge ,before tip, I don't feel it's worth that much. I noticed us when you look at the photos from the reviews some of the chicken chunks look more grilled and charred than other times.. I guess it depends on who works there. Too bad they're pretty inconsistent. That's exactly why I will not be coming back. read more

Ate here for the first time tonight and decided to go with the whole shebang, the trio platter. The order came with a salad, yellow rice, and kebab of each: chicken, lamb, and kafta (beef/minced'ish). The salad was fresh, the rice was ok, and the kebabs were great! My son has never been a huge fan of lamb, but I did give him a couple pieces to try and he said a couple times in the way home how it was so good and so tender. The seasoning in the meat seemed a little lighter than I've had from other places, but the meat quality seemed a lot better and when I was finished with my meal, I didn't feel so bogged down and I def wasn't having any indigestion and burping up spices all night. Lol The cost is probably a little higher than other gyro places I've frequented, although, I Heart Gyro is a lot cleaner and nothing I touched was sticky or stained. I stopped in here for lunch. I got a lamb (which also contained beef) gyro with spicy garlic sauce and a "specialty" beverage, which was sparkling water with a syrup. I got sour cherry. Both the gyro and drink was tasty. They also have plates with combos that looked good but I didn't want to spend that much for lunch ($18-25.00). My gyro was big enough that I took the last 1/4 home for later. This is a walk up & order at the counter place and there isn't much ambiance. The prices don't fit with the ambiance. I paid $18 for my gyro & drink & tip for lunch. Maybe I'm the only one that thinks that is a little high? For that and the higher priced menu items I would expect a nicer atmosphere, I guess. I ordered take out here since I was craving some Mediterranean food. I ordered the Trio Kabob Combination Plate, lentil soup, veggie maza plate, and medium cut fries. The trio kabob plate was yummy. It came with a lamb skewer, chicken skewer and a ground beef kabob. The lamb was a bit gamey but when dipping it in tahini and the tzatziki helped. I liked the beef and the chicken kabobs, had good seasoning and flavor. The rice was good. The Greek salad was refreshing as well. The fries were good. Love the cheese on top and it has a nice spicy fry sauce to dip with. The lentil soup was good, but I found it a little bit bland. The veggie maza plate had a lot of options and the portions are very generous especially for the hummus, baba ghanouj and the tabouleh. The falafel was yummy, the dolmas were good but the grape leaf was hard to chew. The tabouleh was fresh and had a lot of lemon juice in it. The hummus was creamy and smooth. The baba ghanouj was okay, there were nice chunks of eggplant in it though. Pita was a great way to eat the plate as well. The order was made quickly and the food was stored in to go containers well that there was no spill. read more

Coming from Los Angeles with plenty of delicious Mediterranean food, this place was overall mediocre. Meat was dry and no special flavor to it. The "large fries" with spicy garlic sauce with apparently "feta cheese" was nothing but the round cut fries, no feta, and no sauce. Fairly disappointing and will not have an itch to return again. I ordered the spicy lamb gyro with a side of fries. This was hands down one of the better gyros I have had in a long time. The lamb gyro was full of meat (this place doesn't skimp) and was very flavorful. The pita was soft and all of the veggies tasted fresh. The tow employees that were working were very friendly.
