I know what to order every time but if I didn't they are kind & helpful to suggest items on the menu. The atmosphere is good with notices of local bands and events posted up near the drink fountain, they decorate the interior and have pictures of the current and past employees and regulars. You can get beer if you drink it. And the selection is great for food items or dinners. If you are vegetarian or on a diet you can avoid unhealthy options and still have an enjoyable meal! I've fasted and been on diets that I still found a filling entrée to enjoy. Don't be surprised if you see a friend eating inside or out on the patio a lot of people like Bandito and stop in often. I took my burrito freezer stash (&some sauce) down when visiting my sister & her family in Tallahassee,FL and they were thankful.

We stopped by at opening time to get green bean burritos and chicken super nachos. It's been a while since we stopped by and hubs was craving Bandito Burrito. We were the only customers at opening and it gave us a chance to catch up with some of the employees. Our to go order was quickly prepared and we left to head home for lunch. The chicken super nachos were excellent. The chicken pieces were plentiful and the meat was not salty. The green bean burritos were excellent! They always hit the spot. If you like Mexican food, this restaurant has been here for a long time and has loyal customers. They have great drink prices too. Please stop by to support local businesses.

I've been eating here since they opened. I miss Oscar, but the food is still amazing. Always get a Green Bean Burrito when you come! This place feels like a punk rock dive bar staffed with the crew I hung out with in high school. I hope it never changes!

3-4 stars. We've passed this place so many times and finally tried it with out-of-town guests. The workers we encountered were very nice and friendly. You order at the counter then sit. Food is brought out to you. Everyone in our group ordered something different, and we all enjoyed our food. If you get a meal, it comes with chips and salsa or hot sauce. We preferred the hot sauce option. The salsa was only okay. Their house margs were ehh. They only offer on the rocks, no frozen option. All of our entrees were delicious. I got the green bean burrito and the beef tostado. I really liked both! Both came with a small thing of hot sauce on the side. While eating the tostada, I realized there was a hair in it. I stopped eating it at that point but didn't want to point it out in front of our group and freak everyone else out. My husband then asked if he could have my remaining bites, so I secretly showed him the hair. He then let me know that his dish also had a hair in it. Jeez!! It is off-putting to find hair in food, and it is even crazier that it happened to 2/4 of us. Eek ewww. The food tasted so good though, so we may consider trying them again. But now we know to pay attention to each bite lol.

Original (lime) margarita mixed with strawberry margherita. YUM!

We always see a ton if cars outside this place so we decided to stop. They apparently were rated best restaurant for under $10. I got the special (smoked chicken burrito), hubby got the steak burrito. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't substitute chicken for all the steak options, but the lime mixed with strawberry margaritas made me not care! The best I've ever had!!! My hubby & I both left wanting to order another but we'll have to come back. Support local!

I've lived in the area for almost 16 years and this is the first time I have eatten here. Truth be told it was OK, not good or great just OK. Bottom line the place is a few steps above a Taco Bell or their ilk, but not quite at the level of a Mexican Restaurant. Without a doubt it is affordable and fast food like with some quirky vibes... Staff member I dealt with could use some training in dealing with customers in a friendly and personable manner, might have earned her a tip. Is it worth trying I would say so, would I eat here again I would say so as well. Your results may vary.

The bright tv screens seemed to be the only colorful and bright colors in the room. There were 8 customers at 2:00 when we arrived. We ordered pizza and salad and found a table to sit at while we waited on the pizza and salad. Dave went to the bar and purchased one of Yellowhammer's IPA's. I am sorry we cannot remember the name. The beer was higher octane and served in a smaller portion. If the beer struck my palate, I would definitely remember the name. I didn't care for the taste at all. 3/5 I love IPA's from the brewery in Louisiana. I love their helles doppelbock too! It must be the swamp water used? We have tried a few beers from Yellowhammer. Their taste isn't what we prefer. It is great to have the brewery here in town so people who do like the brand can stop by and consume the beers. I will return again to try something else. Sometimes it takes more than 1 visit to adequately decide whether or not a place is considered a fav.

Seriously tough call on the rating here. I think I'll settle on a 3 but it was super close to a 4,…read morejust several minor frustrations added up. I came here with one of my best friends who was home for Thanksgiving to have a girl's day out. BeeZr advertises a nice-looking brunch on the weekends so we thought we'd try it out. She wound up not being able to meet until later in the afternoon but I'm not opposed to a late brunch, so we got there around 1. It was a gray and dreary day on Thanksgiving weekend, so I get it being slow, but the restaurant was literally empty except for us and the servers. We joked it was because we'd rented the whole building to treat each other. The vibe is...fine inside. It definitely looks and feels more like a brewery than a restaurant, with large equipment and a sort of dimly lit atmosphere and a few large TVs by the nice bar. They have a small patio on the square which is REALLY lovely and definitely would've been my preference if the weather was nicer. Our server was okay. He was soft-spoken and not unpleasant, but did sort of have a knack for appearing at inopportune times during the conversation. I get that it's not always possible to avoid, but a little more discretion would've gone a long way, especially since we were the only ones in there. Our food and drinks came out in a timely manner. My biggest frustration was definitely the menu and item availability. I pre-read it and came knowing what I wanted (bananas foster French toast) only to discover that they were running a limited Thanksgiving weekend brunch menu and therefore it wasn't being offered that day. The first thing my friend ordered also wasn't available. I had my heart set on brunch so I asked for the breakfast burrito instead. Our waiter had to go check and make sure the kitchen could do it. Turns out they could - yay. But then I asked for potatoes to go with it -- and there were no breakfast potatoes available. I went with fries instead. When my burrito arrived at the table, there was no salsa or sour cream, which was supposed to come with it. Any component part of this experience is not a HUGE deal, but it all added up to be rather disappointing. My friend got the bulgogi tacos, which came in an order of two sort of small tacos. She liked them and said they were really good. She also got first a French mimosa and then a classic mimosa; I also had a classic mimosa. Both were generic but enjoyable. My breakfast burrito was decent, but I really missed the salsa and sour cream. The bacon inside was cut into tiny crunchy pieces, which I liked. The eggs were cooked very well but needed more salt and pepper. I enjoyed the bright burst of peppers and some were even a tiny bit spicy. It was a large serving but I wish it came with some side item instead of me having to order one. The side of fries was generous and they were really good -- super crispy but still fluffy inside. I thought the bill was a little high for 1 mimosa, a breakfast burrito, and fries -- almost $40. The burrito alone was $18, which seems like sooooo much for a brunch entree with no sides. Idk. Maybe I don't do mid-scale dining enough. Overall, I thought the quality of the food was solid enough that I'd consider returning, but I'd call ahead to see if they had what I wanted to avoid frustration.

The pub itself looks like one you'd find in some forgotten little village in rural Ireland -- a place that time left behind from the 60s or 70s. It reeked of cigarette smoke (which is still allowed in bars in Alabama apparently). The bartender/owner was very nice and seemed genuinely happy to have customers on a slow Sunday afternoon. He was helpful in recommending some beers (they have a good selection on draft -- most from regional breweries). We ordered the Irish spice bags of course and enjoyed our beers while we waited. The fried chicken pieces and French fries came in the bag, well seasoned. On the side were the fried green peppers and fried onions and the golden curry. We added the peppers, onions and curry to the bags, shook them up and tore them open to dig into this hearty Irish treat. The chicken pieces were tender and nicely breaded (the breading did not fall off). They were quite tasty on their own. The fries were crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. The peppers and onions were fried to light brown and had just the right amount of softness. The golden curry was only mildly spicy with a great curry flavor. All mixed together, it was everything we hoped it would be. Well worth the trip to a smoky dive bar in a strip mall (we didn't even notice the smoky smell once the food came).
