Extremely unprofessional experience. We brought our dog in for a simple tag removal and were already given a price during his checkup a couple weeks earlier. Based on that quote, we scheduled the procedure and dropped him off expecting exactly what was discussed. Then 3.5 hours later after our dog was already in their care, we received a call with a completely different price. Changing the cost after the fact is unacceptable. At that point, you're putting pet owners in a pressured position with very little ability to make an informed decision. Any potential pricing changes should have been communicated before taking our dog back, not hours later. This felt like a bait-and-switch. We agreed to the procedure based on the original quote, and suddenly the number changed once they already had our pet. That's not transparent, and it doesn't build trust. Veterinary care is stressful enough. The last thing clients should worry about is whether the price they were quoted will actually be honored. Very disappointing experience and not something we would expect from a professional clinic. We will not be coming back with our kiddos. read more

We went in to get my diabetic dog's blood work done as it's fairly priced than most other private practices as well as a possible antibiotic(as stated can possibly be prescribed by the front office staff over the phone call before we even got there). There was an issue with management being absolutely rude regarding our visit that day which was in regard to overhearing the manager's conversation and one of our other doctors from Vetco who we had to see very briefly as our now primary vet was unavailable for a possible UTI my dog could have had. Addressed this problem with the main customer care line. I check the Irving chief of staff's notes today On my dog's records, and she has written that the visit was totally about managing bond's glucose when it wasn't and how it's ineffectively managing our dog's glucose when we have previously shared with her that we're planning on changing our primary vet to one closer to the Coppell area. One reason is that it's closer to home and two, the manager at the 4005 w airport fwy location has stated that even for questions regarding our dog's glucose, we'd be charged a hefty $67. For insulin adjustments, that's understandable. For questions, it's not. A few questions WERE addressed during the visit about our dogs glucose with Dr. Khan and we had even offered that Dr. Khan take over our dog's glucose management, but Dr. Khan has refused. I don't understand why they reviewed his glucose readings on my dog's Libre in the back then if this was not something they actually do. Not to mention they made me wait 45 minutes for a "drop off" appointment while the vetco doctor and the manager were discussing how bond's case doesn't need an antibiotic and how it's us "jumping around from vet to vet" because we went to separate locations for blood work and uti testing..oh yes, then I'm told it's not a drop off appointment when we were having the meeting with the doctor--45 minutes later. Basically, they're just trying to save each other's hinds. Avoid Banfield in total. read more

I was greeted by Susan was who very kind, patient, funny and caring. She took the time to explain the Banfield plans and benefits to me. I was then greeted by Dr.Croy who was very kind, thorough and knowledgeable. Not to mention we had the last appointment of the day so they were closing soon. So to still be in a great mood at the end of the day says a lot! There was a small but very understandable wait. The person before me had a sick pup and I overheard Dr.Croy answering all his questions and was very patient with him. One nurse even walked him around PetSmart to show him what he needed. As for me and my puppy, we will continue with this location. Give them a try! read more

I want to apologize to my pets for ever bringing them to Banfield. I have a close family member who is a vet. But he currently works at an emergency only hospital that can't give rabies tags. So I've been bringing my dog and cat here for shots for about 4 years. Didn't think it really mattered since they get plenty of attention when they actually need medical attention. I endured the inevitable pitch to buy wellness packages over and over because the place was convenient. Until I actually needed some help for my dog Lola.., It was time to buy Lola some heart worm/flea meds but my job prevents me from getting to the clinic during the week. I was going to call 1-800-PET-MEDS but somehow knew Banfield would be a pain about actually responding to the refill request. So I went to the clinic on a Saturday at least an hour before they close. I saw the tech talking at the cash register when I walked in. When I started walking to the clinic, she said they had closed early so I couldn't buy the meds. So I went ahead and called 1-800-PETMeds. After 5 days I finally called Banfield to see if there was a reason they hadn't approved the order. The girl who answered said petmeds had called to follow up earlier but the dr "wasn't there." Huh? Then for the next 10 minutes I got a string of excuses - they didn't get a fax, and they couldn't help if the dr was busy when the pharmacy called. They had been asking petmeds to send more faxes instead of just confirming Lola had a negative heart worm test on file. Got put on hold, different person comes back with more excuses. I pointed out that I could walk in at any time and the receptionist would sell it to me without the dr needing to do anything. So why couldn't they just call back and ok the refill on behalf of the dr if he was truly that busy. More excuses, they need the fax. I asked why they thought they'd receive a fax this time when past attempts didn't work. Did they confirm the fax number? Crickets. I finally got a "we'll ask the dr tomorrow." And I just said to forget it. They could have called petmeds about 10 times in the time they spent on the phone with me. But unless you're paying them I guess they don't care if your dog gets a parasite. Heck, that would be more money for them in heartworm treatment! I called petmeds and had the dr changed to the emergency hospital and by the time I called to give them a heads up the fax had already come. Again, don't know why I've gone there as long as I have but I'm going to show my pets more respect from now on. Very disappointing that they have such little regard for their patients' preventive care. So thankful I never had to rely on them in the event one of them got sick or hurt. My first dog had epilepsy and I religiously gave him meds twice a day for 13 years. He would never have made it so long with a place like this. read more

We've been to several Banfields in Dallas and in LA prior to our moving to TX. Overall we love Banfields but we have had several bad experiences at this location and I would urge you to find a different Banfield. In no particular order: * We've had our dog (less than 5Ibs) roughly handled by the primary vet. * The receptionist tried to deny giving us a prescription that our emergency vet had phoned in * Extremely hard sales pitch for various things we do not need, we have never had this at other locations. * Rude receptionist and indifferent staff, honestly Dr Gamal is the worst vet I have ever had to put up with and I'm glad my dogs will never have to see him again. I would avoid this place at all costs. EDIT: The vet they used to have in this location (Dr Bell) was apparently very good but she has moved to a new free-standing clinic in the Dallas area. I would find that one if you have had good service at this location before. read more

I am writing this as a warning to anyone who uses this clinic as a primary medical care provider for their dog. I paid the ultimate price for trusting them with my dogs health. I used Banfield Las Colinas for the years I had my dog after I adopted him from the SPCA. They were fine for giving vaccines, but when my dog need real experienced compassionate care they were completely unable to even help me find out what was happening to his health. My boxer was rapidly losing weight and the first time I took him in for that reason I was told dogs weight sometimes fluctuated. They did about a two minute exam and blood work and assured me if there was anything seriously wrong with him it would show up in his blood work. The blood work came back fine so I thought I was over reacting. He continued to lose weight. I took him back a few weeks later and after another very quick exam they found swollen lymph nodes and suspected cancer. Obviously I was devastated and willing to do whatever possible to help my baby. They wanted to order a thorough diagnostic test and let me the price which was fine so they collected a sample and sent us home to wait the excruciatingly week long period to await the results. Several days later they called to say they had not retrieved a large enough sample to to have conclusive results and we needed to start the process over. All this time precious time wasted due to lack of well trained medical providers. Long story short I went back and they said they were not capable of helping him and referred me to someone who could. I took him to their referral who were wonderful and diagnosed him within an hour with spline cancer. It was now to too late to treat or save my precious little boy and I had to do what was best for him and let him go peaceful and without anymore pain. I can not gaurantee that if I had those seven weeks back I could have saved him but I could have at least stopped his suffering sooner. This has been one of the most traumatic situations of my life and it could have been lessened with experienced professional medical care for my dog. I will never trust them with someone I love again and I urge you think twice before you do. I would hate for this to happen to someone else's sweet pup. read more

The doctor there is not knowledgeable nor a well educated vet. I took my 1 year old dog to get his leg checked out as some scab had started to develop on his back leg. I had just recently moved and did not want to drive 45 minutes to my old vet to have a spot checked out - since I honestly thought it might've been a big bite. First off, he does not speak English very well so it was hard enough to communicate to him the issue. When he was able to take a look at it he told me that it could be a big bite but it could also be a type of mast growing - but if I wanted to biopsy done then it would be $175. I didn't mind all the information and options but I really wish he would've known more of what he was looking at before pushing a biopsy on me. I declined and told him I would like to treat it as a big bite and if it doesn't get better in a week then I would come back. I didn't. I wanted to get a second opinion on it because it wasn't getting better. I ended up taking him to my first vet and without a biopsy, he was able to tell him that my dog in fact did have a tumor growing on his leg but it is a common occurrence in my dogs breed along with age and activity. Said it would clear up with time and gave me some ointment. It's only been 1 day and the tumor has already started to heal. I'm not saying don't take your dog here - I would just suggest taking it to a "family" care vet or someone a bit more knowledgeable. read more

This past Monday, I had to have my precious little man Buster put to sleep. He was 19 years old. I looked on yelp to find a pet clinic with the best reviews and Banfield in Las Colinas had the best. Although it was an awful time for me personally, they were amazing. Jennifer was sensitive to my needs and questions when I called to set up an appointment and when we went in the next day, she was there in the room with us when Dr. Martin did the procedure. They both cried with my husband and I and were just amazing. From when we checked in, when they put a privacy screen over the window of the room, to letting us spend as much time as we needed with Buster before and after he was gone. I have no energy to type out the entire fiasco and would like to speak to the client advocacy team to express my discontent for this place. Please let me know who I can discuss this with? I already complained to the chief of staff at this location and I am waiting for her to send a message to the doc who last saw my dog for the refill because she can't fill it. WORST EXPERIENCE!!!! If you love your pet, DO NOT TAKE IT HERE. They were nice over the phone, but when you get there its like you're the ugly stepmom that they don't want to see. I walked in with my Pomeranian to get his yearly shots and check up, when I approached the counter Jade took him and started to walk away, did not even acknowledge me in any way so I stopped her and asked for an explanation of what I can expect the visit to look like, and she said she couldn't say. She would not even give me an estimate of when I could come back to pick him up, she said they would just call when hes ready. I leave, and then realize that I never even filled out a form at the clinic so they had no way to contact me when my dog was ready. I called and they apologized and asked for my number....WOW. Then the vet calls me to explain how the visit went and let me know that my dog was ready, the vet was very friendly and answered my questions. She told me to expect a prescription when I picked up my dog. I got there when they called to say he was ready, and after waiting over 45 minutes, Jade brings out my dog and asks me to pay. She did not tell me how the visit went, she did not even engage in any kind of conversation to explain anything. I then ask her for the paperwork of what they did to my dog during the visit and she said that I "should" receive an email in the next couple of days with that. I said "no, I am not leaving without any documentation of what happened" so she brings out the rabies shot paperwork. I then ask again for a document showing everything what was done to my dog and she looks at me says nothing, turns around to go print it and then silently set it down. I then pay for the services and she begins to walk away, I then realize that I was supposed to have a prescription so then i ask about it and she said that she forgot and went back to get it. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!! She FORGOT to inform me that my dog needed medication!?!?!?! once she brought it out, I asked for an explanation of how to give this medicine to my dog / how much etc. She looked at me and said "I don't know, google it" WHAT!?!? I went there on Friday, July 10th after I thought my dog had been bitten by a snake and couldn't walk. I rushed in (very panicked) and asked if someone could just take a look at her. The girl at the counter was extremely rude. She went into the back and said "No, she can't be seen, doctor is in surgery" and told me to go to the ER. While I understand the vet being busy, is was the way the girl at the counter spoke to me (never a "I'm sorry for your dogs pain" out of her mouth). I explained that I had the vet insurance through their place and needed a time to come in, she interrupted me and said, "It's NOT insurance" and that I just needed to go to the ER. She was rude and had ZERO compassion for my dog at all! I will be refunding my "Plan" or whatever you want to call it, for my dogs sake, it's nothing but a big rip off. I will never return to that place again. My dog is fine btw, I googled snake bites and she didn't have any fang marks on her, she was stung by a hornet. NO THANKS to Banfield! read more

I've used Banfield for several years for my dog. I recently moved to the Las Colinas area and had to leave the wonderful Banfield team in Duncanville. What a disappointing experience.. I arrived about ten minutes early for my appointment and ended up waiting for a half hour before being seen. I didn't get an informational video in the meantime. Just the howling and crying of other pets. I believe the scale was inaccurate because before I put my dog on it, it was reading 2.7lbs. They turned it off and back on but I still think it was off. The doctor was quick in the room but took my dog back for the shots and the rest of the exam, something I've never seen done before. Usually they do most everything in the room. It left me feeling uneasy. When the assistant brought my dog back, she said they would call with the results of the testing and sent us to the front desk. They encouraged me read about the side effects of the vaccinations my dog received and advised that they would call me the next day to make sure she was doing fine. I never heard back from them for either reason. I'm so disappointed with the staff and even the facility, which seems a bit grungy and run down for being a newer building. I plan to travel to the Duncanville location until my dog's wellness plan expires and then I will take her to a different vet. So sad to leave Banfield because it was so convenient and a great experience until going to this location. read more

Okay had an extraordinary bad experience at the Banfield in Lewisville. So I decide I need to find another vet. So, I set up a meet and greet with the vet at this location. All I can say was Wow!!! We met with Dr Ducote and Levi, my chihuahua fell in love. He was so traumatized at the other location that when he even saw the building he started whining but as soon as we got in the room with Dr Ducote she made us feel very comfortable and made Levi feel safe. She even checked his eye out for us. After talking with her for a long time we decided that this would be our new vet. We had to go and back for a followup and they restained his eye and noticed that it wasn't healing so they gave me some new medicine and she always makes sure he is comfortable. Besides the fact that everyone here is so extra friendly and they make sure we both feel very comfortable - Dr Joy - my other vet from the old Banfield comes here and we are excited that he is here because we really liked him. However, after trying to schedule an appointment at Lincoln Square, and realizing they were not willing or eager to help, I stayed with my Las Colinas location. And I am glad I did! I was able to call and get an easy drop-off appointment. They called after the vet checked him and gave follow-up on the treatment, and let me know about all fees before administering any treatment. I have used Banfield for almost 2 years now for both of my cats. The are both on the Wellness Plan which I have found to be very beneficial for both of my babies. The staff is always friendly and caring. My recent visit was only a drop off for dental work, in which I only interacted with the receptionist, Robbin. She was very kind, caring and does her job well. As a receptionist myself, I look forward to those that give off a friendly-oriented and calm demeanor about themselves, It tell a lot about a person. Dr. Gamal has seen both of my animals and is a great Veterinarian. He is detail-oriented and leaves no questions unanswered. I did not get to see the vet tech/assistant Maricela due to a drop off, but all the staff I have come across have been absolutely wonderful. Keep up the great work. Update: After speaking with Jennifer, the practice manager, I feel much more comfortable and at ease. She explained that there was miscommunication about the situations and agreed they should have been handled differently. She said she would reiterate with her staff how to properly communicate certain information. I definitely appreciated her taking the time to rectify the situation (she put a free treat on our account for both my dogs), and assured me this was a one-off. Thanks, Jennifer, and corporate Banfield for being so efficient and taking care of my pets (and their owner). Again, I will reiterate how wonderful both Drs are here, as well! First, both Drs at this location are wonderful. But, that is about the only thing wonderful about this location. We have used this location for almost 8 years due to it's proximity to our home.The only time we haven't used them was when we lived in a suburb of Houston for 3 years and used our local Banfield there (they were all around a great hospital). However, at the Las Colinas location it is impossible to get any sort of appointment(unless I book weeks out) if either of my pets are feeling ill(wish I could predict weeks out if my pet were not going to feel well). For example, my dog had something happen to his eye which caused it to start swelling and he couldn't open it, as well as an upset stomach. Upon calling this location, we were flat out told they didn't have any appointments available, and weren't an emergency clinic(since we asked if we could be seen that day due to the nature of the illness) and we'd need to find an ER vet to look at my dog. The person who answered seemed to have no concern or regard for the situation. We ended up finding another Banfield that was extremely out of the way location wise and had immediate appointments available. It turned out my dog had ulcers in his eye. While, I wasn't overly impressed with the vet at that location(his bedside manner left much to be desired), I was grateful to have my dog taken care of. Another incident occurred, where I walked in to get a pedicure for both my dogs, as well as gland expressions. Samantha (whom I think has no training in proper customer service) said everyone was on break and that we could wait an hour until they were done. She stated that I should have called before or made an appointment. However, having used this location since 2008 (sans the 3 years we lived in Houston), I've never made an appointment for either of those services since I was always told there was not no need and to just walk-in. I asked her when the policy changed and why wasn't I notified? She said "what do you want me to do, send an e-mail to every client to let them know?" to which I replied, "yes." She said, "I'll let management know." I then asked, "how do you expect your PAYING clients to know that your policy has changed?" and she said, "when they walk-in in a situation like this..." Clearly, customer service is not at the top of Samantha's priority list. Given that I was already there with both my pets, I would have appreciated them taking care of my pets needs, while politely informing me that next time it would be best to call ahead or make an appointment to ensure my pets would be seen. But, again, I don't think Samantha had the proper training in how to ensure proper customer service. Needless to say, I will be calling Banfield to see what can be done about there poor customer service at this particular location. read more

I have been seeing this Banfield for over a year now. I have two dogs on their wellness plans and have taken my cat (who is now 2) here when we rescues her from imminent dear when she was 4 weeks old. The staff here is always so nice and they treat my dogs like they're my fur babies. I have never had a problem with any of the beta or staff members. I prefer to see Dr. Bell for my dogs and the male doctor (can't remember his name atm) for my cats. All in all this place has saved me from having to pay an arm and a leg all at once and the meds for the most part are pretty inexpensive and they only recommend treatments and don't force them on you with scare tactics. (Like at the local VCA) will be taking my cats here soon! read more

I've always avoided Banfield because previous locations I lived in, they were just known to be bad. I was under the gun however to take my little buddy somewhere due to some work that was being done at home and we had to leave the house for the day. Bad news for my cat Ditka because that meant it was time to get neutered. I ended up coming here because of the positive reviews. I, like many pet owners, love my little buddy and worry about him. I was pretty nervous because we had never been here and him being 5 years old, I was concerned about the anesthesia. They took great care of him and he is doing excellent. The doctor called me after the operation to let me know he woke up ok and was doing good. They even called me the next day just to check up on him. This is a long review, so here is a quick summation: Adopted an old, sickly dog; Banfield team helped me take care of her; Banfield took care of me when it was time for Poppy to go. This staff cares about the animals so much, but they also care about the pet owners. I adopted an older dog back in June thinking I was getting a dog who was much younger than she really was. She was a full-blood Australian Shepherd. I brought her to Banfield because they offered a free examination on your first visit, and that's when Dr. Bell confirmed that she was much older than the adoption papers said. My sweet Poppy had more than several fatty tumors all over her body, which they immediately ran tests on during the first visit, and then she received her vaccines. I was completely sold on the Optimum Wellness Plan after hearing the various ailments my pup had (fatty tumors, a heart murmur, failing eyesight, hearing loss, etc.) because she was my first dog that I completely took care of on my own. After each visit, whether it was for x-rays or a dental cleaning or just a check-up, I received a call the following day asking how Poppy was doing, if she was exhibiting any abnormal signs, if she was eating and drinking. It was as if the Banfield team was helping me "raise" my sweet girl. I was offered every option of flea medicine and heart worm medicine and intestinal worm medicine and really everything that I would need to ensure my girl stayed healthy. Any question I had was taken seriously and answered seriously, even if it was hard to hear. Before every examination, the vet (usually the female Dr. Martin [read a review about a male Dr. Martin earlier]) always made Poppy feel safe and comfortable. She would pet Poppy and calm her down before she started poking and prodding her. The vet tech also did the same. They ALWAYS kept a cheerful tone to keep Poppy calm. Because Poppy was getting older, her various conditions worsened, and after a trip to the ER, I was told to go straight to my vet with an IV (!!!!!) and have them monitor her throughout the day. I didn't have an appointment, I didn't call ahead, I just showed up at 7 AM with a dog who couldn't walk straight and a bag of medicine. They asked what the ER doctors told me and took her back without any other questions. They called me 3 times that day to update me on her status. And now for the hardest part. My girl had always had trouble breathing. She panted constantly, and she coughed all the time, but it became dry, coarse, and almost dry heaving. When I called Banfield to schedule an appointment, they took me in immediately without making me wait. They did the usual routine of comforting, but Poppy was just not feeling well. They performed x-rays, and the x-rays were worse than I could have ever imagined. Dr. Martin explained to me exactly what I was looking at, what it meant, what the treatment would be like, and how the treatment wasn't guaranteed to extend Poppy's life. She explained in the kindest words, with the most gentle and compassionate intentions, what my options were. I made my decision and she explained the process. I filled out all of my paperwork and put all my personal belongings in a pile in one of the examination rooms. She brought in Poppy and a blanket, and told me Poppy would fall asleep soon, but to take as much time as I want with her. I held her head in my lap while she fell asleep, and I'll spare anyone still reading the details of how I handled it. My boyfriend could not handle it and left before Dr. Martin gave the medicine for Poppy to sleep. When I was ready, Dr. Martin came in and sat with me. She gave me time, and then when I said I was ready, she administered the medicine. Then she sat with me. I don't know how long we sat there, but she stayed with me. Then she started talking to me. She spoke about our visits, she spoke about Poppy, she spoke about me taking care of Poppy. This women knew my dog, and she knew me, and she genuinely cared about both of us and our well-being. After she said everything she wanted to say, and I said everything I wanted to say, we sat. We sat in silence and it was not uncomfortable to grieve alone in a room with the veterinarian because that's how comfortable and close Dr. Martin was to my sweet, sweet girl and myself. I will be forever grateful for Dr. Martin. She is one of the kindest souls I have ever encountered, and if I ever save a sweet pup, Dr. Martin will be the first person I look for to take care of my pet. read more

We've been taking our dogs to Banfield for years, but this Las Colinas location is the best by far.

I wouldn't even give this establishment one star. Unfortunately, Yelp doesn't give the option for giving negative stars.. but I would give them inifinite negative stars if I could. The "doctors" are only there to make money, they don't care AT ALL about your furry friends, in fact Dr. Martin literally said "MY BAD!!!" when I asked him why he didn't inform me that my puppy had tapeworm for three weeks!! I noticed them myself, called in to ask if they had noticed, and verbatim this dude has the audacity to come on the phone and say "My bad!". The optimum wellness plan is a rip off, that is probably the ONLY source of their income which is why they try to sell it right off the bat with the misconception that you're saving money. You're not saving money, because the conditions your pet develops AFTER being in their "care" is actually costing you more money than if you had gone to an actual vet and gotten insurance. 8 months and $6k later (NOT including the $50/month I have to spend now until next February), I have decided never ever ever to bring my dog back to this establishment. You walk in and the place REEKS of urine. The last time I brought my dog back home after his "checkup", he smelled of urine and feces for 2 days before I brought him back to the grooming salon. They noticed I had just been in there the week prior and they themselves commented on how he was already smelling so bad! All I had to do was point out the door and the sweet girl just gave me a sympathetic look while putting my pup in the system to get washed again. I understand it's not good for his coat to get washed so frequently, but I was left with no choice. Don't have enough hours in the day to talk about how bad this place is. Should definitely get inspected by the Health and Sanitation Dept STAT!!! And probably shut down their business if they don't want to be smacked with a lawsuit soon. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE! They will do anything to get as much money as they can from you. My puppy had a small growth on his belly since birth. I asked them about it and after 3 in office tests and about 300$ later, they assured me it was ringworm and placed me on a series of medications and shampoos which went on for about 4 weeks. After seeing no progress of healing, they did yet another test and told me that it was a "malignant tumor" and needed to be removed immediately and quoted me for about 900$ for the surgery. Now mind you my puppy was only 12 weeks when they told me this and cancer that severe in a puppy so young seemed nearly impossible. I decided to take him to another vet (not Banfield) for a second opinion. Of course the vet told me that it was most likely nothing and not to even worry about it due to the fact that hes so young and showed ZERO signs of having cancer. He then told me that if I wanted it removed that he could do it for no more than 350$. I decided to change to a different Banfield location and they tested him (and charged me again) for mange which was one of the tests the first banfield location tested for and he tested positive! He is on medicine for it now. Be careful they charge you for EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. I have spent over 1,000$ for my puppy who just turned 4 months and acts perfectly normal despite the demodectic mange. If I could turn back time I would have never stepped foot into this place. Unfortunately I am bound by contract with banfield right now, but I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I have not had any bad experiences here. Staff has always been friendly and helpful whenever I brought my puppy or had questions. The only thing I found disappointing is that when my puppy got sick and I got her antibiotics, they measured the syringes incorrectly...BOTH times. **IF YOU'RE GETTING SYRINGES WITH MEDICINE, MAKE SURE TO CHECK THAT YOU GET THE CORRECT AMOUNT** It's not that the lady didn't know to which line to draw it up because each one contained different amounts of medicine...which was either due to carelessness or lack of training...and me being a pharmacist, that is unacceptable. I should have checked the syringes while I was still there, but had trusted them to dispense the right amount. Not sure why they aren't more careful when dispensing medication...but on a brighter note, when I had brought this to her attention the second time around, she apologized and went to fix the syringes. I haven't had to get syringes with medicine for my puppy since then, so hopefully what I pointed out to the lady sticks with her! read more

We were really happy to have gotten an appointment last minute on a Saturday, but that was about the only positive. The lady on the phone was really nice and seemed concerned for our pet's well being, but the moment we brought our terrified cat in, no one had any empathy or concern. We had to place her on a scale in the wide open which offered no protection if she got scared and ran. Then, we went into a room to wait for the vet to come in who, when he arrived, seemed far less than excited to check out our scared cat. When we explained that she had been throwing up a lot, he stated that cats throw up all the time. "You say hello to a cat and they throw up." I'm no veterinarian, but I'd have to say that wasn't the most sound medical statement. They didn't handle her with any concern, didn't do any testing. Only gave her a rabbi shot and charged us $60+ for a whole lot of nothing. Really disappointed with just about everything. Rest assured, we won't be returning to this Banfield. read more
