I have a 11-year-old Chinese Shar Pei who long story short developed an extremely life-threatening necrotic leg infection after very bad episode of Shar Pei Fever. All other vets in the area declined the ability to take care of her. Even Med Vet Dallas, the supposedly top surgical center in DFW wanted to take her leg and would not guarantee her survival. Dr. Capps and Case worked together to not only save my dog but were also able to nearly completely rehabilitate her leg. It has nearly been one year since the incident and I still have my dog because of their amazing care, willingness to think outside of norms, and dedication to getting her better. Although she still requires occasional check-ins due to some fluid buildup, she is happy and is able to go on several walks a day and has even been able to go on several hiking adventures since the incident. Additionally, they continue to be incredibly supportive with her follow ups and check ins continues to support her recovery as best possible. Korra was extremely sick and Dr. Case immediately recognized the potential of FIP at that point and we worked together for the next couple weeks to rule out other symptoms and come to a diagnosis as FIP is both difficult to diagnose and very expensive to treat. Valley Ranch Pet Clinic and Dr. Case with the help of Dr . Capps have worked diligently to treat Korra without bankrupting my husband and I. We are endlessly thankful for their support and care of our sweet baby girl. She is doing amazing and a healthy normal kitten because of the immediate action and education provided here. Do not use this clinic nor Tina who is supposed to be in charge but know not what's going on in her clinic! I took my dog there for years. I had a 2 pound Pomeranian that was less than a year older or so. They tried many times and had a mini MINI level and they could not figure out what was going on. Well they schedule her for surgery cause they couldn't figure it out and they thought that it was a hole in her liver. Which was correct finally after many tries. Her Receptionist actually calls the surgery center for us and Kat calls the wrong one not the one that they told us was near us in urban, but one way far away. When we got to the surgery date and pulled up, they said they have no record of my dog. They would not take her even though she was dying and they called Valley Ranch pet clinic who at that point in time didn't deny that they called the wrong place. Yet never apologized. So I called and I finally get Tina on the phone and she says she'll look into it. Did she call back? Not at all. Did she even try... She's useless and so is her Receptionist. So I finally get her on the phone again and she says we don't see anything wrong. Well, you don't see anything wrong because you didn't look into it. You are a liar. We got no accountability no responsibility nothing. I even called to ask him to make it immediately at our place in Irving. That's a surgery center. Did she do that? She said no. Just wait to the next appointment time available. I'm not driving out there lady. You should have one right near me, especially cause my dog is dying. She died the next morning and a horrible, horrible, horrible horrific manner. And it was sickening. They had to take her in the back away from me to put her to sleep. Did they even apologize at all? No nothing and Tina didn't look into it because her Receptionist knew damn well what happened? I let her know. They killed my dog by not taking care of her after she had been there for a couple of years. Please do not go here. Not only will these people not help you, but they will not be accountable for anything they do. The practice should be shut down and Tina should lose her license. I am a marketing executive and I tell you I will post this all over social media till everyone doesn't use them. I absolutely love VRPC! Granted, my dog Verda Belle always slams on her brakes when we go because she would much rather be on the couch at home. I completely trust Dr. Nonnenmacher and her team. My pet recently suffered from pancreatitis and I was able to take her home at the end of the day and she did recover. It was a nail-biting situation for me because she was very sick. The doc called my husband with an update and he didn't understand what all she had said. I ended up calling her back and she was so kind to take the time and repeat the findings to me. This place just had its final straw. I had an issue with this place after my first visit when the vet gave my dog Rocket only a 6-month supply of Nexguard and/or Heartguard (I forget if it was one or both) and then declined my request for more after 6 months (they later fixed it and authorized it, but it was a hassle fixing the mistake). Then, I called this place after Rocket ate some chocolate when he shouldn't have (we didn't even realize he had the ability to get access to it and I was panicking) and the person who answered on the weekend for emergencies couldn't have cared less and just told me to call poison control (where it was impossible to get ahold of anyone quickly). I eventually got ahold of the veterinarian in my family, who told me the amount he ingested was fine. The person at Valley Ranch couldn't tell me and said they couldn't see him same day anyway. Why is it an emergency line then?! Yesterday, I took Rocket here for his annual vaccines. I told the tech Amber right off the bat that Rocket had received a Bordatella vaccine recently from a daycare that required the booster every 6 months and so he didn't need one. I gave her the document proving he'd received the vaccine and she took it to copy it/put it in their records. After the visit, I saw that I was charged for - and that Rocket had been given - a Bordatella booster!!! When I brought this up, the vet's office told me that "if there's any vaccine to accidentally give him extra of, this would be the one." I was told this is a good vaccine to have extra of anyway since it's kennel cough season and that they gave him a full year booster, not just a 6 month booster. I said, "Are you going to apologize for what you did?? Did you purposely drug my dog after I told you not to??" She said it was most likely an accident resulting from the tech not pulling the bordatella booster from the tray of meds and said "I am apologizing and we're making it right by refunding you the money for the vaccine." Not good enough. I'm never trusting this place with my dog or his medication again. read more

I finally found a vet for my new pup Finnegan who is patient and comforting to him! He was previously abused/unsocialized, so is afraid of strangers, but warms up to them after a while. The two previous vets I took him to, didn't want to deal with his fear or try to comfort him, but wanted me to give him sedative drugs for his appointments and would not even touch him. Still charged me me for "exams" as well. Ridiculous! He only needed a loving kind hand to feel safe. Finnegan doesn't bite, growl or snap. He only cowers in fear in the presence of new people. Dr. Rouchon and vet tech Ben made Finney feel secure and he went right with them on his leash to the back, had his toenails dremmeled & rabies shot without even a whimper. I take my little dog to this clinic for all her check ups and shot's. Most of the girls are really nice in the office and in the back. The new African American girl (didn't get her name) that's working there is clearing not into animals!!! She had a disgusting look on her face when she took my dog to the back!!! I want to thank them, and the amazing team of Vet Techs and front desk staff who were always courteous to me in my many states of panic. The contactless check-in protocol that they created for COVID19 were reasonable, and I appreciated the caution that was taken and encouraged during my various visits. My cat was exhibiting chronic diarrhea for more than a month, and when she suddenly stopped eating one day, I wasn't able to get an appointment for another 2 days out. Luckily, Lindsay was on top of it, and slotted me in at the first cancellation in the same day. The last thing any cat mom wants to hear is that their cat needs to undergo surgery. Dr. Capps ruled out every possible option for my cat's illness, and walked me through what an "exploratory abdominal surgery" was, and responded to my questions as I kept considering all my options, including affordability. The staff were kind enough to let me visit my cat in a separate wing the night before her surgery. The surgery went well, and all signs pointed to a great recovery. The few nights that my cat spent at the clinic for hospitalization and recovery, the Vet Techs called me to give me regular updates on her health twice a day. My mind was at ease knowing that my cat was taken care of very well. Throughout this journey, Dr. Capps was attentive to my concerns, and responded to my questions via email and call in a timely manner. They took such good care of our cat. We brought him in because we saw blood in his stool. This is during COVID lockdown, and they where one of the few clinics taking appointments. We got in the next day. They where so organized and professional. The DR was wonderful. He made sure to put my worries at ease, explained all in detail, and made sure to run the necessary test. My 17 yr old long-haired chihuahua started seeing Doctor Capps about 5 yrs ago after she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Under Doctor Capps' care she is still with us today and doing great! Not only is she incredibly kind and knowledgeable, but the entire staff is so, so friendly and I've always felt like they truly care about my pets. Another testament to this came about a year ago when we rescued a doodle-mix. He had a rough start in life and was pretty much terrified of anyone other than myself, so naturally I felt horribly guilty having to leave my petrified little boy all day for his first check up. But again, with this teams love, patience, and kindness they have won him over! He now makes regular visits to day-camp at the clinic and will even lay down and relax in the exam room during check-ups. Last but not least, I really appreciate that they are thorough, but I've never felt like they have tried to overcharge or take advantage by recommending unnecessary treatments. On the contrary, they are really good about letting you know all of your options and even giving recommendations on things that may save you a few dollars, while still being just as effective. I had a dreadful experience with my dog needing to be quarantined and they made the experience a lot less painful by calling to give updates and allowing us to bring treats, our own dog food/ baby food mix, and my dogs oral medication for allergies. They provide Hills Science diet food for the animals which was amazing to see. The faculty really took care of my fur baby and were very understanding to our situation and treated Maui like their own. It made me sleep a little better knowing he wasn't just locked away in a cage with people who don't care about the animals. They even walked him outside for some fresh air. Took my 9 week purebred puppy to them because we had just gotten him and he had a seizure. The lunatic vet Greg Rouchon scared the **** out of us by 1) telling us he was going to die 2) making him even sicker by shoving science diet food into him without asking - while accusing us that we had malnourished him because he was on the breeders brand Royal Canine and not their Science Diet brand. When we talked about rescue sugars or getting nutri-cal to give him when he is in a critical state- he answered do nothing just give him the food. Thank GOD for our breeder and friends to reassure us that our instincts were right and he was DEAD wrong! Anyone with a pet KNOWS you can't just switch food, much less to a hypoglycemic puppy!!! His actions caused our puppy to have additional seizures and we quickly found a wonderful vet. This Vet needs to be reported for malpractice, which it absolutely was malpractice. Never mind we spent $1400 for a puppy, the loss of our family member would have rested squarely on Greg Rouchon shoulders. The facts are that vets are commissioned by science diet to push their food, especially with puppies. The vet's continuing education and kickbacks are generous. It was obvious this vet cares more about his pocket book than the families and animals he should be serving. I have never posted a review on any establishment before now. This experience drove me to WARN of this horrible person Greg Rouchon and never leave your precious animals to his care. He should not be licensed to practice! read more

I came in because my dog was not feeling well. I walked in and unfortunately was not immediately greeted, so I proceeded to walk to the only open receptionist which seemed to be available. Her name was Noel. Noel asked if I had my dog's current pet records with me. I replied that I did not, but given the fact that I live about 500 ft. away, I suggested I can go grab them and be back within 5 minutes or less. Noel was the rudest receptionist I have ever encountered. I can overlook her rude tone and her lack of eye contact, but the fact that she ignored my suggestions before she started dialing another pet clinic to seek irrelevant pet records ,was definitely inexcusable. Had the rest of the staff been like that, I would have walked out immediately, and most likely would have negatively spread the word about the uncouth and vulgar staff at the Valley Ranch Clinic. However I did not have to do that. Why? Because I was first saved by the sweet and congenial technician, Lindsay. She made my dog and I feel completely welcome, and more importantly made me feel like she truly cared about my dog's check-up. What completely resolved the what started off to be a ghastly morning was the amazing veterinarian, Dr. Greg Rouchon, DVM. He was completely informative, treated my dog's medical issue, and thoroughly answered each question I had. I walked out completely confident knowing that my dong will be okay within a week simply because of how he treated my dog, and how he was gentle and kind; not to mention his wonderful sidekick, Luis the caretaker. Luis was wonderful with my dog always trying to play with him!
