    Korra and Dr. Case

Dr. Case saved our kittens life. Korra was extremely sick and Dr. Case immediately recognized the potential of FIP at that point and we worked together for the next couple weeks to rule out other symptoms and come to a diagnosis as FIP is both difficult to diagnose and very expensive to treat. Valley Ranch Pet Clinic and Dr. Case with the help of Dr . Capps have worked diligently to treat Korra without bankrupting my husband and I. We are endlessly thankful for their support and care of our sweet baby girl. She is doing amazing and a healthy normal kitten because of the immediate action and education provided here. We have been treated with the upmost level of care and compassion during one of the most difficult things we have been through. FIP is a scary diagnosis and I feel blessed that we chose to have her cared for by Valley Ranch Pet Clinic. The love they have for our pets is obvious, and I would recommend them to each and every person that asked.

I take my little dog to this clinic for all her check ups and shot's. Most of the girls are really nice in the office and in the back. The new African American girl (didn't get her name) that's working there is clearing not into animals!!! She had a disgusting look on her face when she took my dog to the back!!! She was grossed out that she had to give a shot! WTF WHY ARE YOU WORKING THERE!!!! My dog is groomed every month and a vary clean dog. I don't know what was with her but I don't like the way she treated her. Be prepared to spend top dollar to take your dog here. For all of my dogs shots and exam was $350.00!!!!! There messaging and emails to you is nice to keep track of your appointments. I am obsessed with my dog and cannot be with out her for long periods of time, they try their best to get her done fast as possible if you have to drop your animal off.

All the best things you could want from an office staff, vet staff, and capable kind docs. I can't say enough good things about how they've cared for our dogs through the years.

They took such good care of our cat. We brought him in because we saw blood in his stool. This is during COVID lockdown, and they where one of the few clinics taking appointments. We got in the next day. They where so organized and professional. The DR was wonderful. He made sure to put my worries at ease, explained all in detail, and made sure to run the necessary test. He didn't try to "up sell" me on excessive procedures. And when they returned our cat to us, the tech said "you have an awesome cat!" Who doesn't love compliments? We will 100% make this our home clinic.

Brought my new puppy in for an urgent visit. She was very itchy and since she's a rescue I wanted to make sure she was okay. They were able to squeeze her in the next day. Everyone was so welcoming and patient with Nova. She's still a little scared of new people and they made her feel comfortable. She loved the cookies and everybody fell in love with her. They recommended a shampoo to help cleanse her more. Gave her a bath last night and I'm happy to report her scratching has gone down about 90% already. Her fur is shinier and softer too. I'll definitely be back to this place.

My 17 yr old long-haired chihuahua started seeing Doctor Capps about 5 yrs ago after she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Under Doctor Capps' care she is still with us today and doing great! Not only is she incredibly kind and knowledgeable, but the entire staff is so, so friendly and I've always felt like they truly care about my pets. Another testament to this came about a year ago when we rescued a doodle-mix. He had a rough start in life and was pretty much terrified of anyone other than myself, so naturally I felt horribly guilty having to leave my petrified little boy all day for his first check up. But again, with this teams love, patience, and kindness they have won him over! He now makes regular visits to day-camp at the clinic and will even lay down and relax in the exam room during check-ups. Last but not least, I really appreciate that they are thorough, but I've never felt like they have tried to overcharge or take advantage by recommending unnecessary treatments. On the contrary, they are really good about letting you know all of your options and even giving recommendations on things that may save you a few dollars, while still being just as effective. All and all, I just cannot say enough great things about Doctor Capps and her team!

I had a dreadful experience with my dog needing to be quarantined and they made the experience a lot less painful by calling to give updates and allowing us to bring treats, our own dog food/ baby food mix, and my dogs oral medication for allergies. They provide Hills Science diet food for the animals which was amazing to see. The faculty really took care of my fur baby and were very understanding to our situation and treated Maui like their own. It made me sleep a little better knowing he wasn't just locked away in a cage with people who don't care about the animals. They even walked him outside for some fresh air. When we got my baby back I was scared he would have a different personality after being locked up but he came home like the same playful little puppy and I couldn't be more satisfied. After boarding and vaccination since he's a small breed we paid about $800+ I know larger dogs can go up to $1k+

I had read great things online and came in genuinely hopeful. That quickly changed. When I arrived with my dog, Buddy, and asked for a tour, the receptionist initially told me I couldn't bring him inside because they didn't have his vaccination records. I explained that I had already created a profile and uploaded everything. She paused, said "Oh," and then changed the reason--now stating I couldn't bring him in because it might "wind up the other dogs." At that point, I didn't argue and put him back in the car with the A/C running, but it was disappointing. A tour should absolutely include seeing how your dog reacts to the environment. Inside, the facility felt dark and quiet, with most of the lights off. Aside from the receptionist, I only saw a cleaning staff member. The tour itself was underwhelming at best. There was no effort to engage--no questions about my dog, no interest in my needs, no explanation of their services or daily routines. It felt more like an obligation than a business that wanted my trust. She showed me the "Ultra Suite," which includes a queen bed, webcam, and TV. Unfortunately, the room looked unkempt--the bed was unmade, the blanket was messy, and it appeared it hadn't been cleaned since the last dog. For $155/night, that's unacceptable. She did apologize, but it didn't inspire confidence. Next was the "Deluxe Suite," which was significantly smaller with a basic dog mattress on the floor. It felt more like a kennel than a "suite." There was only one dog there during my visit, yet the odor in the facility was overwhelming. I couldn't wait to leave. After showing me a few rooms, the tour simply ended--no discussion of availability, no overview of care, no attempt to answer questions or build trust. It was awkward and, frankly, disappointing. I'm very glad I chose to visit in person instead of booking based on the website alone. There is no scenario where I would feel comfortable leaving my dog here.

They immediately take her for the vet to look at the hot spot and shave it (which they don't tell you costs $80) without any informed approval. Then they say she has two ear infections and after taking her to a different vet they confirmed she only has one the other ear is fine. Then they come in for a heart worm test that they also don't mention will be $75 dollars. After recieving an almost $800 bill for the visit they gave no print out to tell me what it was all for. I had to go over to the vet techs computer after she expected me to blindly pay and tell her what I wanted her to take off the bill that we definitely did not need. This got the bill down to $440 which she told me would include our vaccinations that we had come for. Little did I know she took off the vaccinations without my knowledge so I paid $440 and didn't even get the vaccines that we came for. Needless to say I left with nothing that I had come for and a bill of $440 that they couldn't account for and I would not bring down. Even after calling and one of the workers telling me they would reduce it by $290 which they did not honor. Unless you want to be conned DO NOT go here. I truly believe they are making up infections and other issues to make you pay more for medications and services. Not transparent in their pricing and no one could tell me the truth of what I was paying for.

I only found out because, something in my gut didn't feel right. So, I called to get access to the webcams, an hour and a half after dropping him off and when I checked I didn't see him. Immediately, I called back to find out where he was and I was advised that he was isolated in a room, in an unfamiliar place, I immediately got in my car and headed to picked him up. When I arrived and demanded they bring my dog to me, he was visibly scared and confused, and the front desk staff seemed unaware of what was going on or the reason for my frustration!! I would not trust this facility with my pet again.

Of course, she immediately put on her brakes (locked her legs) and I had to coax her into the salon. Thankfully, Jake was waiting at the counter. He remembered Verda Belle's fears and did his best to become friends with her by talking softly to her and offering a treat. Of course, she was making me feel guilty, but I also could see she would be in good hands. She was there about 2.5 hours since it took longer to dry her. During that time, both of our dogs passed away due to old age, and our cat is now three years old. Throughout those years, our experience with the veterinarians and technicians has been consistently positive. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and clearly dedicated to providing quality care for their patients. The reason for this review is not the quality of care, but the clinic's prescription refill policy. When attempting to refill our cat's flea and tick medication through Chewy, the prescription request was declined because our cat had not had an annual wellness exam. When I contacted the office to understand the reasoning behind the requirement, I was told that the exam was necessary to maintain the veterinarian-client-patient relationship. However, I did not receive a clear explanation of how a routine wellness exam for a healthy, three-year-old cat would impact the decision to approve a medication he has been safely taking for the past three years. Veterinary regulations may require periodic examinations before prescriptions can be authorized, and if that is the case, I would have appreciated a straightforward explanation of that requirement. Instead, the responses I received felt generic and did not address the underlying question of why the exam was necessary in this specific situation. For many families, discretionary spending is carefully evaluated. Requiring an $83 wellness exam solely to authorize a refill of an established flea and tick preventative adds a meaningful expense without a clearly communicated benefit. While I understand the importance of routine preventive care, I believe clients deserve a transparent explanation of the medical or regulatory rationale behind policies that require additional visits and costs. My overall opinion of Riverwalk remains positive because of the quality of care they have provided over the years. However, this experience with prescription refill policies and the lack of a clear & logical explanation has been disappointing and has changed my perspective on an otherwise excellent practice. Note that this might be the case with all veterinary clinics
