What a hidden wonder! "Bang Bang Burritos" was not even on my radar until today. Now I wish I went sooner. This place is worth your attention. Parking Is easy with plenty of shared space, I really liked that. Heading to the building you notice a theme. Very bright and festive. The green makes me want avocados. Inside the place was immaculate. They definitely cared. At the counter the staff were incredibly friendly. The one lady in the back particularly. I sat down to wait for my order, but she walked it right over. When I asked for a sauce to dip my nachos, she gave me a list and recommended a good one. I appreciate the details. But not as much as I loved that burrito. This thing needed its own zip code. It left nothing to be desired. This monster had it all. It also tasted better than it looked. One of the best burritos I've had in a while. Trust me when I tell you I'll be back. There are so many choices I want to try. I got one shrimp taco and the steak burrito bowl-I forgot to switch the sauce from blue cheese to bang bang so that was my bad but I'll def try it next time around. Food and service good. I like the way they toast the burrito to hold it together. Had a steak burrito and a cod fish traditional burritos (with beans). Both good and filling. The shrimp taco was just ok but I did have it later so it's not fair to give it an honest review. Good tortilla chips. Some of my friends said the food was a little too salty but I couldn't really tell because the flavor can sometimes mask too much salt. I had tried them out with my husband about a month or so ago and we absolutely LOVE them. Best burritos we have had so far. We had ordered them again this past Thursday, and it was still fantastic. My husband and I ordered with his parents, and they really liked it. I got the Southern Twang the first time around and I loved it so much, I ordered it again when we ordered on Thursday. Once everything dies down and we can go into restaurants, we are going there and sitting down and eating. I will totally be telling my friends and family about this place, and I'll totally be trying more of their food. Definitely two thumbs up with their food. The sauce that comes with it is great too! Has a little kick to it, but it makes the burrito even better. I cannot be any more happy with how fantastic this food is. Even though I only got one burrito so far. We were reluctant to try this place because of the state of the last food place that was there but, this place looked very clean and neat, the young man at the counter was friendly and polite. The colorful tiles at the counter reminded me of artisans from California. The Leprechaun for st Patrick's Day threw me off initially though. Tried calling when I was in the car to cancel and the line was busy. I said the heck with it bc it's getting late and I'm really hungry and decided to go to Taco Bell. While waiting online I decided to give them a call back and the same guy who took down my name and number tells me they called my name 10 mins ago and no one responded ( there was a crowd of people waiting inside and out). I told him that HE had announced taking our name and numbers for a call back to let us know when our food is ready and NO ONE CALLED me. He said " well it JUST came out so it's ready.." by then I got so frustrated I hung up on him. If it's taking you 2+ hours to catch up to orders then disconnect the phone for a while if it's THAT busy...there's nothing like waiting that long for food just to find out people can't do their job. Incredible food! Ordering started with a polite phone call. Even during Covid-19, they're busting their butts to get food out quickly and to everyone. Our food was ready in 15 minutes. Husband got a grilled shrimp burrito that he could barely finish, it was packed with shrimp! I got the West Islip Lion and it was so tasty; I could only eat half!!! Sometimes at places the meat feels artificial, but this was super yummy, and was falling apart with just my fork. Hubby got a burrito and he loved it. Never really one to write reviews, however.. I must say that tonight was a crazy night for them. I happen to be standing there for a while. THEY WORKED THEIR BUTTS OFF. For those who are willingly able to bash a small business on the computer is so distasteful.. I won't lie, I ordered food at 6:43, I didn't ACTUALLY get it til' 7:30/7:45. Ran a couple of errands and came back and my food still wasn't ready. The food was well worth the wait, we had ordered a couple of burritos and tacos for the occasion and they were great.
