Staff was genuinely very friendly. We did have trouble trying to find someone when we wanted to pack up the leftovers and pay the bill. Food was made using fresh ingredients. The Citrus salad had a lot of greens and what felt like a WHOLE sliced avocado under the added tuna protein. The Diablo wings were hotter than hot in a good way. The guacamole and chips was a large portion. It needed a squeeze of lime. The tuna burrito bowl was filling. The complimentary chips and salsa was much appreciated. They have a rewards program that offers you $20 after sign up, you can't beat that! And you also can get a $10 birthday rewards. Different days also has different specials. Ehhhh. Place has kind of fallen off. Nice that they give you chips and salsa but what Mexican restaurant doesn't? Their tacos are just okay. Shrimp taco was sooo fishy could not swallow it & their birria taco is not a traditional birria. No bueno! Only decent one was the steak taco. My experience was generally a positive one. I came here for a dinner with my coworkers after a long work week. They have decent happy hour specials! The ambiance was dim, but a bit loud. We really had to yell to hear each other. Otherwise the waiter was pleasant! Checked in a lot with us throughout- mainly before we got our food. I liked the decor too. Regarding the food- pretty decent. Here's what I had: Drink: Passion fruit Margarita mock-tail with Tajin rim- delicious! I would say it's even the best mock-tail margarita I've had yet. It really tastes like a regular Margarita without the alcohol which I enjoyed a lot. I enjoyed the fact that it didn't taste like just passion fruit juice in a cup. Entree: Taco Trio (corn tortilla, side of fries)- I picked this because I kind of wanted a little bit of everything from the taco menu and this option allows you to mix and match three tacos from the menu. I ended up going with the Shrimp Taco, Birria Taco, and Buffalo Chicken Taco. Shrimp Taco- tasty combination with the sauce, coleslaw and shrimp *however* the shrimp smelled fishier than it should. Like maybe it wasn't the freshest shrimp which was a bit disappointing to me. Birria Taco- tasty and I enjoyed it with the consome it came with. It was a decent Birria taco, just not one of the best. However I would probably go for this one again next time. Buffalo Chicken taco- a bit disappointing. ratio of chicken to the lettuce and tortilla amount is lacking. It also came with an avocado slice. The taco was a bit dry between a lack of Buffalo sauce, and again, the ratio of everything. Not the most convinced by this combo and it didn't taste fresh. I would consider coming back but would probably opt out of the Buffalo chicken taco and *maybe* would give the shrimp taco another shot. read more

I'm so disappointed in Del Fuego restaurant, went last night to celebrate my 33rd wedding anniversary with a party of six, what was supposed to be a celebratory event turned into a disaster. We all got our food it wasn't hot it was room temperature warm but we didn't complain, we all had about two to three mouths full when I discovered a long hair imbedded into my rice, it was disgusted and of course I lost my appetite and so was everyone else in my party. I brought it to the management's attention she was very polite and apologetic. This was our go to place in the last couple of years and now I will not step foot in Del Fuego ever again. Had the opportunity to check out this delicious Tex-Mex joint in the heart of Babylon Village. Went on a Friday night and it wasn't busy. You receive complimentary chips and salsa, which is always appreciated. On Monday nights they have Margarita Monday's, their house margaritas are half-off. I had the pineapple which was delicious! I ordered their BBQ Brisket Enchiladas prepared Santa Fe style, since I'm a sucker for sweet plantains. The dish comes with a side of their Del Fuego rice. Some of the best service in Babylon. The staff is always working so hard and going above and beyond. We are OBSESSED with the salsa. I've been trying more spots outside of my current town, and my fiancé and I decided in Del Fuego. It's a large restaurant and there's plenty of seating. It's nicely decorated and has plenty of TVs. We each ordered a quesadilla, her being steak and I ordered the chicken bacon chipotle quesadilla. They were both delicious as we each shared. We agreed the steak was 10/10 while the chicken bacon was 7/10. Not really good but I think we would both enjoy the steak next time. Another tip is to just order the side of guacamole, as that is only $1.50 instead of ordering the guacamole as an app. read more

We stumbled upon this Tex Mex restaurant while in Babylon. Firstly, this place is absolutely huge inside. There are two seating areas and the place can easily fit a large party inside. The decor is very pleasant and looks very Western. The first thing they do is bring out some free nachos and salsa. We finished them quickly, so they brought more nachos. In fact, they brought a large basket that was about double the size of what we'd just eaten. Talk about customer service. For the food, we had a beef burrito and a plate of the chicken enchiladas. Like the nachos, the portions of our entrees were so big. The enchiladas plate was loaded with chicken, shredded, cheese, vegetables, lettuce, and came with rice as well. The burrito was so thick that it was about double the size of some burritos I have had at other places. Everything tasted fresh and delicious as well. There was so much food that we had no chance to finish everything and took a bunch of it to go. One entree could definitely feed two people with smaller appetites. Dined here recently to catch up with a friend. A good thing to keep in mind that the restaurant has brunch and daily specials We came here on a Saturday where they had a $5 off a pitcher special and discounted tacos. The red sangria wasn't the best. It tasted like the wine had too many tannins and lacked fruit like a normal sangria has. As for the tacos, I got mixed feelings. One issue I had was very little meat compared the amount of toppings. The fish tacos, no bueno. There was barely any fish in them and it was mostly the cabbage. The steak taco was much better in flavor but still had the issue of having too much of the topping. I did think it was neat they had a variety of hot sauces to add to your food if you want. I was very excited to come here. My girlfriend and I were really looking forward to having a margarita and chips and she recommended this neighborhood, having eaten here once before. When we arrived there was a stayed 25 min wait but an area available that, while not at the bar, is served by the bar. No problem. We would need to go to the bar and order our drinks/food. They'd bring it out but didn't provide wait service. Once we went to the bar to put the drink order in and get a menú, they provided the menus. We ordered our drinks and sat down. Upon sitting, a staff person came to us and said they'd need to hold the credit card to place the order. Ok. They then asked if we were keeping an open tab, and I told them we would order food once we reviewed the menu. Oh, well we'll need to keep the card. Huh? Why I asked, well people walk out, she replied. I said, while you don't trust me with your food, I don't trust you with my card so please give me back my Platinum Amex. At first I though, wow, what a poor policy. I don't get wait device and now you get to keep my card while I'm across the room? Sounds strange, but we're just out for a good time, charge my stuff and give me back my card. Not too much later we were joined by two other women who were eating. Because this space was small and off the path, we bumped. We both apologized and remarked how, while the area was small and off, it beat waiting for 35-40 min. The food comes quickly. Then I said, I don't like the fact that they make you leave your credit card. She said huh? I said yeah, they said we'd need to leave our credit card. Oh no, we didn't do that. They didn't ask us to. He loved it and was super stuffed and satiated. I had the wing special, classic buffalo and habanero split. I loved the classic wings, but the habanero weren't really hot. The ambiance of the restaurant is well done, with the wood grain emphasis. A few televisions for keeping an eye on sports and other events. The one thing I noticed was it was rather dark in the booths. If you like that you will love it. I prefer more lighting personally. We weren't required to leave payment proof before ordering. Came here on a Tuesday night for some tacos. Started off with a mocktail and they have a whole list of those which is really nice.I went with the sucker punch as our server recommended it. I enjoyed the fresh fruit they used to make this drink. I like that you have the option to mix and match the different tacos. They give you plenty of chips and salsa to start with and aren't shy with refilling them. We started out with the stuffed plantains as our appetizer and those were out of this world. The sauce they came with took it to the next level. I had A brisket taco, a pulled pork taco and also went with a shrimp taco that came highly recommended from a close friend. They do not skimp out on these tacos and they are all flavorful. The shrimp and brisket were my favorites. I wasn't able to finish all three but did get through 2 1/2. The tacos come with a good amount of rice and beans which were flavorful as well. I'll be back here for some tacos and to try some other things on the menu in the near future! read more
