The person tried to open my watch (it was citizen), he said he can't open it after few minutes of trying. no harm done at that part. but when I took it to the other repair shop, they told me the previous person who tried to open the back made a crack on the back (and heavy scratch too) and now the watch is prone to water since there is some opening in the back. Awhile ago I needed to have my watch batteries replaced, and since my watch repair/battery place was not open, and I had to pick up a friend in GB--I decided to go to Bang's, which was recommended by my friend. I was delighted with the quick service (he replaced 2 Seiko wrist watch batteries), and went on my way. Within 3 weeks my watch stopped! I returned to Bang's (I save ALL receipts for 4 weeks then toss) which I showed the older Mr. Bang, and explained that the battery must be defective and it needed to be replaced. He nodded and told me to return in 15 minutes. When I returned he gave me the watch and charged me for another battery! I told him that I was not going to pay for something that was defective. He was upset because I told him the truth. He was having a quiet hissy fit OVER ONE BATTERY! HERE IS THE UNBELIEVABLE AND STUPID PART! He became very offensive and told me that I DID SOMETHING TO THE BATTERY! he also said that either I pay or no battery! I told him that he needed to take it out and I would go elsewhere. HE WAS VERY RUDE and began muttering things under his breath! I WAS IN SHOCK! He pried open the watch in front of me to take out the battery, and I saw him take a tweezer instrument and do something to the band sides of the watch right after that.. He gave me the watch and I clicked it on my wrist. I walked a few feet away from his place, when the watch fell off of my wrist! Now I was the one upset. I picked it up inspected it -- and lo and behold...he had deliberately taken apart the links and weakened them, so that the watch would fall off of my wrist!!!!!!!! EVIL MAN. I marched up to him and told him..."you loosened and damaged my watch strap now fix it!" He came over took silently took the watch and again with the tweezer instrument tinkered with the links and put them back to their normal tension! OUT OF THIS WORLD! I wanted to call the police!. WHAT BUSINESS OWNER DOES THAT? BEWARE!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BANGS! read more

I bought a $900 gold watch from Mr. Bang the RIP OFF man! The watch was in his case too long. The following day after I purchased it, the watch stopped working. He took it back and he "supposedly" put a new mechanism in it. A few weeks later it stopped again! When I called him to tell him I'm returning it, he said it was only under warranty for 7 days. When I bought it he said it was under warranty for a year. Guess what? Jules Jorgensen the manufacturer of ALL his defective watches is OUT OF BUSINESS! They had a warranty inside the box that said it was under warranty for 5 years so I believed I was ok. I trusted Bang to do the repair, with the understanding if it did not work it would be going back for a full refund. I trusted Mr. Bang to be a man of integrity. That was my big mistake! At the time I purchased the watch, he confessed to me that it had been in his case a very long time and promised to take it back and give me a refund if I had any problems with it. He KNEW it was a piece of junk! I wanted a refund right away but he insisted he could fix it and it would be perfect. I guess by now you can figure out he LIED! I'm calling the better business bureau on this rip off. I also called Visa to dispute the charge. Don't buy anything from this guy! His batteries are terrible they won't last a week. They don't last but a day or two. He's a rip off and his watches STINK!! I got a solid gold paper weight. I found a reputable place in Rockville to do my future watch repairs. Hey people you are better off buying a TIMEX from Walmart than buying anything from him. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THE BANG!! Needless to say, I'm never going back there again. Got it back a half hour later, with two large scratches on the outer rim and crystal. My heart sunk. I'm *never* going back here again. I have been bringing pretty much every watch I have owned in the past 20 years to Bang's. Fixes and maintenance have always been quick and reasonable. Along with a typical collection of aging Timex- and Gruen-type watches brought in for batteries, bands, and cleaning, I have had Movado, Rolex, and Omega cared for here and all were cared for very well. If you have ever fiddled around with a watchband spring clip, you know what kind of annoyance it can be. Go to Bang's and let them remove this chore for you. I recommend them highly. read more

When I returned, it was ready to go- the day and date set, and the Indiglo feature was functioning, as he had fixed that at no extra charge. This was the very first time I had gone to this business to have my watch band adjusted an I will never go back. I was in the mall for all of 15 min and I ended up regretting every min of it.. If you make the mistake an go to this business make certain the person behind the counter gives you one of the so called security sensitive tickets (its a piece of card board with a number on it wrapped in clear tape it corresponds with the plastic bag they will put your merchandise in) if they make a mistake and forget to issue it to you like the repair person did to me they will hold your property hostage for no reason other than ignorance and human error on their part they will blame you for loosing the ticket and demand your ID , phone number and want to take your photo meanwhile they can know for a fact that the item is yours they will still make certain to frustrate you and test your intelligence even going as far as to call mall security as if your trying to steal what's yours. read more

The first time I went to Bang Watch Repair last summer, I absolutely enjoyed my experience. He only charged me $10 for tightening my watch to adjust it to my wrist. However, just today, I went back there to have the turner on my watch reinstalled because it recently fell apart. He tried to charge me $79.95!!!!! I went to another jewelry shop a friend of mine recommended, and they only charged me $20 for the same job. I most likely won't be going back to Bang. read more
