I stopped by this hot chicken place today to try their food since I was already getting something from the boba place next door. I placed my order through their website and got the first pickup time of the day. I got the Banging Plate that is two sandwiches and fries. I selected 1 mild and 1 medium for the spice level. I arrived right when the place open and there was enough parking since the plaza wasn't busy yet. The worker had trouble opening the door so we had to wait a little bit, there were other people waiting as well. All of the employees did not greet or acknowledge any of us while we were inside the store. I saw they had horchata drink here so I placed an order through their kiosk for a small one for my wife. My order was not ready until 10 minutes after my pickup time. The whole time waiting, none of the workers interacted with any of the guest or stayed behind the counter. So it was an awkward waiting experience especially after more guest came in. The parking lot was packed when I left. The hot chicken was okay, the bread was not my favorite and the the ratio of the bread to chicken is not balance. There more bread, so it just depends on the person. The fries were more soggy so it wasn't that good but they give a good amount of it. I'm more of a fries person so it wasn't a pleasant experience. The price is different from their website until you place an order by a dollar. This place was alright to try once in my opinion.
Parking is a small little plaza. There are some dine in seats but not a lot. I love how they have a combo with cheeseburger. The hot is pretty spicy actually. I love the agua frescas n variety of drinks. Horchata was bomb, highly recommend mango lemonade n strawberry lemonade. Service is quick.

I placed an order on line while in Hollywood and thought it be ready since I was an about 30min away in traffic, when I arrived they had given my order to an Uber pick up. I couldn't wait another 30+min so I left without a new order. On another occasion I placed an order through the UberEats app, when it arrived it had a small straight black hair in the food. I sent the pictures through my review but apparently ubereats said the restaurant decided not to post and deleted both my review and pictures; I'm disappointed because I have had good past experiences and aren't far from me. Now I haven't ordered from here and search other places with similar menu.
Great sandwiches. Love that you can customize the level of spiciness to your sandwich and it still tastes good. Been coming here for years now, and I've been a longtime fan. But thibgs are not the same. Their restaurant has changed their layout and looks kind of bland now, where it used to feel more lively. They had some good deals on Uber Eats, but again, they skimped on the deals as well. Before they used to have a buy 1 get 1 deal, and you would receive the same thing, same size, and everything, but the last time I ordered this deal, I received 2 items at half the size. Both my sandwiches looked like miniature versions of what I used to get, which was a huge disappointment. Normally I don't eat here as much as I used to; I feel like the quality has gone downhill, and it is obvious by their changes to their menu, the restaurant itself, and their online deals. Now if I do eat from here, I tend to order their banging fries, which come with fries and chicken, and they taste pretty good. But to be honest, there are better chicken places out there, but it is not bad stopping by and checking it out for yourself if you're curious.
Prob my fave hot chicken spot in the valley. Might be on par to Howlin' but it's been a minute since I've been there. Usually hot chicken spots tend to be too salty, but everything here was great. Got the tender plate which came out to $18+ total the Hot level and this provided just the perfect amount of spice (even for my dad who is a spice master lol). Fries were nicely seasoned, and had a slight crisp on the outside and a fluffy inside - yum! Tenders were juicy, truly "tender" and easy to break apart, and well marinaded! I could even eat it without the sauce. So good. Bangin' sauce was pretty dang good too but I only needed one of the two they provided. Even the bread was good - it's a thicker slice relative to other restaurants and it kinda reminds me of japanese milk bread uhuhuhu I like that they have a self order kiosk. At around 12PM on a Tuesday, there was no one working the register. Parking lot is kinda tight. Would def come back.
If I could rate this place a -10 I would. The service was terrible. No one attended me when I walked in. Had to ask for my order. A McDonald's burger is probably ten times better. Burger was bland fries were hard and rubbery. NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE. If you want a good smash burger go to EASY STREET OR BURGER 3000. If the owners actually put effort, this spot woulda been good. Instead they have a MacLaren and a Corvette parked outside like this place is fancy. 10 thumbs down
I know you're located in North Hollywood but my question is why aren't you in Hollywood . First time trying you out and love you guys. Slider was perfect the coleslaw wasn't to dry or to wet just right. The chicken was perfect eventually . I also forgot to mention I order mild it actually lives up to mild the tender was great. I have to go in person in location they brought the food to me I gave you a four star which isn't your fault . I can't give you a five if I didn't experience the ambience
The pictures lured me in and I was very happy it did. We enjoyed the hot banging chicken tenders and seasoned fries with the banging fries. Everything was flavorful. Food came out really fast and staff were really friendly.
First time and I will definitely be back. I placed my order after I took 1 fry off my brothers order. I got out of my car and walked straight in lol. If you have good fries I am sold. Cashier was so nice, place is very clean and they also have donuts so of course I got one, 8/10. I had the smash burger with the side of a chicken tender. I've had other smash burgers and I was not a big fan of them. Bangin buns though 10/10, just a simple smash burger, no extra sauces or anything. My family loves their chicken and they rate it a 10/10
Overall not a bad experience. The interior is simple and more open than most places so you don't feel cramped. I ordered from a tablet at the counter and the menu had option like sandwiches, tenders, fry bowls, and a smash burger. The food looks great but I must say that it lacks a bit in seasoning. The fries have good texture but lean more on the dry side. The fried chicken on the other hand is cooked very well but the breading is more akin to KFC's original recipe instead of crunchy. If they improved the seasoning and make the batter more crunchy then this would be more like a 5 star. Service was friendly and they brought my order to me. I'd say give this place a shot!
Food is good, service is fast, ambiance is clean and have plenty of seats! Love the convenience of this place and how good the food and affordable. The cashier is very attentive and nice. Would come back for my late night cheap eats and try the other options on the menu.

We recently ate at the buffet across the street from this spot and this is how we spotted it so we decided to come try it a week later since this is kind of not in our territory. Parking lot is another one of those weird, squishy ones. Idk what it is about hot chicken places but all of their parking is awful!! I basically almost got blocked in because parking was so weird and tight. We walked in, another guy walked in right after us and came from next door but he turned out to be another worker? Maybe the owner? We took a few minutes to check out the menu, first thing you notice is the really loud music (not good music either). We were finally ready to order so we walked up to the cashier. There were two girls and one guy from the kitchen and they were all just chatting away. They didn't even acknowledge us or welcome us when we walked in (other than the 1 guy who walked in after us). I could tell that the service wasn't going to be great and was worried about our order not being correct or good at all despite the crazy amount of reviews. We finally ordered after waiting a few minutes for them to "end their conversation". The place was empty by the way so idk if they just weren't paying attention and because the music being so loud, they didn't even hear us come in? Idk. Food came out rather quickly and we took it home to the family to enjoy. Super good, luckily! I'm a sucker for breakfast burritos and wish more hot chicken places did them so I appreciate this spot for having it as an option. Super soft chicken and the spice level is tolerable/on the lower end. I don't do spice at all so that's a lot coming from me lol. Overall pretty good and not sure when we'll be back after this. We tried Bangin Buns for the first time and everything was so good. We ordered the Mac & Fries plate and the Smash Burger + Sandwich meal. The mac & cheese was creamy, the fries were seasoned perfectly, they topped the meal with crispy chicken which went really well altogether, and the Smash Burger had that crispy, juicy bite. The chicken sandwich was a standout, super crispy, full of flavor, and it came with coleslaw inside the sandwich. I don't usually like coleslaw, but I tried it and it actually made the sandwich even better. So good! The strawberry and mango lemonade were both refreshing and lightly sweet, and the banana pudding was creamy and the perfect ending. Definitely coming back.

My daughter and I happened upon this place while traveling. Hands down best chicken sandwich I have ever had. And no, I wasn't starving. The chicken was perfectly fried. Light crispy and so moist. My meal was definitely Bangin lol, I absolutely love the seasoned sauce they use in their food. It's something I crave all the time! This location was pretty neat. The set up and lights give it a cute vintage burger spot look. Very clean, employees make sure to sanitize every table after a customer leaves a to get it ready for the next. I ordered the Bangin fries jr and a smash burger. Those are my go to items at this restaurant, I definitely recommend you try them!! read more

Time...you need 30 mins to wait for your food and its 5pm on a monday. Most couple could break up coz of hunger before ur food arrives. For a chicken place, Wait time horrible. Need improvement if you want new customers. Plus if you dine in, you will be looking at a lot of grumpy Dasher drivers waiting for their delayed pickups. read more

I heard of Bangin Buns because of Trisha Paytas and saw the Bangin Buns brothers on the JustTrish podcast and saw their food and heard their story and loved it and everything they post on social media looks so good!! today I came to the location in East Florence Ave, as soon as I walked in the establishment it was fresh, clean, super well maintained and decorated, plus the cashier was super nice, welcoming and friendly thanks Britney R! The food was a let down I asked for Bangin Hot for my chicken and it was not spicy at all my husband had the "Hot" and they were not spicy either the fries weren't crispy they were soggy it looks good online but taste was a let down read more

2024/07/19 Update: I noticed the prices have gone up a little so I posted the latest Menu and prices. The food and service remains the same. Excellent. Tho the fries in the tender plate seems less than the portion I got from the first time I ordered it. read more

Was hungry and in the area so I decided to try this out and ordered take out. Everything on the menu looked really good, but I ended up with the banging plate - which is 2 chicken sandwiches and fries. Wow, off of first impressions when I got my food - the chicken was huge, juicy and that SAUCE. I don't know what's in there but it stole the show! I mean to the point I was dipping the fries in it! And their fries?!! Crispy and thin, seasoned perfectly. Whoever is working the frier knows what they're doing haha Food actually exceeded my expectations. It's simple, it's fast, and it's good.
