We had humble bird delivered to our office and it was savory. Perfectly packaged which equates to excellent service. You can tell it was packed with care. JUICY, tasty chicken, with amazing sauces! And let's not forget the delicious pickels and popcorn chicken! Comfort food at its finest.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Not in the best area[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], food was ready early. Tried the sando mild . It was juicy and had the just right mild flavor.

Awesome chicken place! Like other reviews say, the wait time is long as every thing is made fresh to order. We originally ordered the bone-in fried chicken but were quoted 35 minutes. We switched to a sandwich and were quoted a 15 minute wait time, but our food still took over 30 minutes to come out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes are simple, with minimal decor and clean interior.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the hot chicken sando, Humble fries, and fried pickles. Everything came out hot, juicy, and flavorful. Best fried pickles I've had, and you can tell the coleslaw isn't some bagged mix! I will note that the "hot" spice level felt like a medium, but maybe my spice tolerance is high. We also met one of the owners, Luis! Luis was so kind and chatted with us for a bit. He even gave us a few free banana nut muffin cookies! Will be back. Awesome place to go to- just order ahead if you can!

Mac & Cheese

This was a great find for chicken! We each had a Sando and split a mac & cheese side. Good sized sandwich and with the side, it was perfect. We both did Medium spicy, and I would definitely spice up next time. Mac & Cheese was pretty tasty, too. Nothing fancy, just a good side. Fried Chicken looked good at next table and I might try that next time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]No fdills, but it's clean and comfortable inside, and looks like they have some outdoor seating, but it was raining when we visited.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was super friendly and helpful.

Stopped by here for dinner on the way up north and I was happily surprised! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop was empty when I went on a Thursday at 6, but quickly filled up after.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the classic sando with mild spice and their loaded fries to share. Everything was made fresh to order, so it did take a little longer but definitely worth the wait. The chicken was so juicy and crispy on the outside. The fries were also really yummy and seasoned well. Service was super friendly as well! Definitely recommend if you are craving a chicken sandwich.

Wanted a chicken sandwich so decided to check this place out and it didn't disappoint. We were greeted the moment we walked in which I loved. I obviously got their sando and decided to get a mild spice level. For drinks they have canned sodas or their house made lemonade so I of course had to get that as well. They were kind enough to give us an estimate of how long it would take which I appreciated. From the moment my sandwich hit was placed on the table I knew it was going to be good but it was honestly way better than I expected. I had never had a chicken sandwich with onions before but I wasn't mad at it, it worked so well. The chicken had really good flavor and we actually really wanted to take home some popcorn chicken for later but the sandos were so filling that we didn't end up doing that, we will be back to try it tho! I would also recommend their house lemonade, you can get soda anywhere but not everywhere has really good house made lemonade. We will most definitely be back here again!

Burned my mouth clean off... but it's good. Definitely worth the wait.. and you will wait but definitely very tasty. Service was nice. I would come back in a heartbeat.. yummy My sandwich wasn't spicy.. just hot because I didn't wait

Nashville Sando and Mac & Cheese

The chicken sandwich was well seasoned, spicy, juicy, and crispy. The creamy mac and cheese was insane, creamy and satisfying. Overall, a great chicken spot with plenty of flavor.

Found humble bird while searching for a place to eat dinner at and I am so glad we made this stop. Customer service is great. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. We ordered the Nashville nugs and the humble melt with a side of fries. We all got the medium spice level and I will say it's pretty spicy. I love spice so it didn't bother me but if you're not a super spice lover I would definitely stick with the mild or no spice. The flavor is amazing! That humble melt is so delicious! The perfect combination of hot chicken and coleslaw I also enjoyed how the slaw is made with no mayo and the fresh raw onion is honestly the cherry on top! This is honestly one of the best hot chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Top tier! The fries are also very yummy! Well seasoned, not too soggy not too crunchy perfection! Everything is so fresh and made to order so it will take about 20 minutes or more to make (I am assuming depending on how busy they are) [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is pretty chill but I will say the bathrooms need some TLC they were a little dirty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Other than that it was a great experience and the food was delightful we all enjoyed it and we will definitely come back when we are in town.

Order counter/those guys are super nice and friendly/ and the kitchen is in the back.

I came here yesterday ( 5/16/26), I was going to get a massage later and I thought I get something quick and I Yelp fried chicken, this place popped up. I never had Nashville chicken before so why not try it. I parked in the back, plenty of parking, just don't park all the way up to the back of the restaurant because it seems like is for double parking. Girl, if someone parked behind you, you're stuck until they come out and move lol [[HIGHLIGHT]]when I walk into the restaurant, it was tiny, is just a couple of tables and chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But I'm assuming lots of people don't eat inside, I see a lot of to go orders and when I ordered the small chicken, it consisted of 1 leg 1 wing 1 thigh and 1 breast for $16, with tax, is less than $18, I usually don't tip for to go orders but I just gave them what is left of my $20 in the tip jar. It took awhile like 25 minutes, I thought I might be late for my massage appointment 10 minutes away and I had to find street parking. Luckily they made it just in time for me to get to my appointment and ate a couple of bites into the leg, first bite, it has a familiar taste because of the hot sauce. I couldn't put my finger on it until the 3 rd bite, is the Tapatio hot sauce. I might be wrong but that tingly burning sensation on my lips, I know is that hot sauce cuz I put it on most of my food lol. The chicken sits on 2 pieces of white bread, maybe is for soaking up the hot sauce and grease from the chicken ?. And a couple of slices of pickles. After my massage, I continue eating the thigh and wing, is great with the dipping sauce. Overall, it was good chicken, the service was nice also, the guys working there are super friendly. And did o mentioned that the chicken was huge pieces and they fried it when you order it, that's why it took so long but is worth the wait. I would recommend coming here.

The Sando

Tried Humble Bird after seeing all the good reviews and wow, so worth it! I got the Sando, fries, and a side of ranch. The ranch is fire and I'm pretty sure it's made in house. The chicken was amazing, super crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. The staff was really nice and welcoming, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the vibe was chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely come check it out and try it for yourself. 10/10 -V

I've tried so many Nashville hot chicken places. Howlin rays is the best. This place is 2nd. It's very good. Even the Cole slaw is solid. Well balanced. I got the hot and it's not that spicy. I'll go for the hottest one next time.

Every bite had so many flavors, perfectly balanced, and the biscuit itself was insanely buttery and soft easily one of the best I've had in LA in a long time. My husband got the steak & eggs with a side of hashbrowns, and it was just as impressive. The steak was cooked perfectly, everything was well-seasoned, and the whole dish felt really balanced. Definitely a spot worth coming back to.

The restaurant is located at the Beverly Center and does not validate parking. The good news is that parking is relatively affordable at $1 per hour. Since I don't eat meat or chicken, I checked the menu online beforehand and found several options that looked appealing. Unfortunately, once we were seated, we were given a completely different menu. When I asked about it, our server, Lindsey, explained that the menu I had seen online isn't available until after 3 p.m. That was disappointing since I had already planned my meal. We started with the biscuits. They had a strong smoky flavor that honestly made me think they were baked with pork fat or in an oven used for barbecue. Lindsey assured me they weren't made with any meat fats, but the smoky flavor was definitely noticeable. I ordered the salmon with microgreens and a side of mac and cheese. My partner ordered the steak and eggs with hash browns, and we both enjoyed the mint mocktails--they were refreshing and one of the highlights of the meal. The salmon was cooked well and I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese, however, was a huge letdown. It arrived in a cute little cast-iron skillet on a butcher block, so the presentation was great, but the taste didn't match the appearance. It reminded me of boxed mac and cheese made with powdered cheese, topped with Parmesan just to create a crust. It was runny, lacked richness, and there wasn't even a hint of that satisfying cheese pull. Unfortunately, there were service issues as well. My partner specifically ordered his eggs over hard, but they weren't prepared that way. His hash browns never arrived at the table, and on the drive home he realized we had been charged for them. He intended to mention it before leaving but simply forgot. The biggest positive is the restaurant itself. It's beautiful, stylish, and has a great ambiance. Beyond that, though, I found the food to be average for the price. Even by Los Angeles standards, $42 for chicken and waffles feels excessive. Overall, Yardbird looks better than it tastes. While there were a few bright spots, the inconsistent service, menu confusion, and underwhelming food don't justify the price. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning.

Although it's no longer my FAVORITE food and I only indulge sparingly, I still have an affinity for it, and can quickly separate the good from the bad. Willie Mae's can confidently go into the good pile. The perfect texture of the batter is the standout. It's light and crisp. Head to head, I think I prefer the flavors and juiciness of Gus's fried chicken. I'll have to give Willie Mae's another go to confirm that this is indeed the case. But Willie Mae's is situated in a better area, it's got civilized sit down table service, cuter decor, and it has way better sides. Knowing myself, I predict that one day, I will decide to remove poultry as well from my diet (I've long excluded mammals from my diet). Hopefully more visits to Willie Mae's will happen before that day organically comes upon us.

Since I do not live in the area, it was not a convenient situation. During this recent DineLA restaurant week, I met a friend there for lunch. Now they have a fairly large sit down dining room that was quite busy and it seems like there was a steady stream of takeout. Our server, Desiree was fantastic. She told me this branch was started by the same folks of the original in New Orleans. Due to a an issue with the freeway closure and horrible traffic, we were very late and she kindly honored our reservation. The food was fantastic. Great crunchy and spice on the chicken (it is on the spicy side so be careful if you cannot handle the heat). The little corn breads were just the right amount. We tried the yams, which is a must, but also shared some of the other sides. The cabbage is cooked kind of like collard greens. The butter beans and rice is very tasty. We also tried the mashed potatoes and gravy. All sides are vegan, which I thought was done for the local L.A. crowd, but we were told the sides are vegan in the original recipes. Next time I'd like to try the gumbo and other dishes on the menu.

We ordered two combo plates at $35 each -- well worth every penny. We upgraded to the lean brisket for an extra $2 and added pork ribs for $3 more per plate, and the result was a tray piled high with some of the best BBQ in the city. Sides included mac and cheese, baked beans, and coleslaw, with both regular and spicy BBQ sauce on the side and sweet tea to wash it all down. The lean brisket was an absolute standout -- tender, juicy, and bursting with deep smoky flavor. The pork ribs were equally impressive, smoky and fall-off-the-bone tender with a gorgeous bark on the outside. The mac and cheese was honestly some of the best I've ever had -- rich, creamy, and comfort food at its absolute peak. The baked beans were packed with flavor and loaded with chunks of pork that made them feel like a meal on their own. The coleslaw was a perfect palate cleanser -- delicate, fresh, and not overly sweet, exactly how it should be done. The one minor letdown was the hot link sausage -- it was juicy but lacked the bold flavor you'd expect, and the skin was a bit tougher than it should have been. A small miss in an otherwise outstanding meal, and not enough to take anything away from the overall experience. The atmosphere was electric -- lively and loud in the best way, packed with energy and wall-to-wall televisions. We happened to go during the FIFA World Cup Final and the place was absolutely hopping. Our waiter was extraordinarily attentive and friendly, and the food came out quickly and piping hot despite how busy it was. Bludso's is the real deal.
