This spot is so close to my house. I went once in highschool didn't know what to order and never came back. Now that my latest fixation is Thai I came back to give it a try. I started off with some fried tofu, tbh it needed much more crunch, I think the coating is rice paper and it had more of a mochi texture. Papaya salad was delicious. Next I had what was possibly the best pad Thai I've ever had. Noodles weren't to overcooked like most places. Lots of crunchy veggies for texture and succulent fresh shrimp. A decent portion too! I was so happy with it I ordered twice in one week. My friend got fried rice which was also very good. Will def be back! I came here with my fiancé to celebrate my 47th birthday and of course it did not disappoint. The food was spectacular and the service was great. The ambiance was nice, considering it was the afternoon on a Wednesday. We ate so much and still went home with a doggy bag. I haven't been here in a while but when my friend suggested it for lunch, I happily said yes! He ordered the chicken pad thai which he loved. I ordered the shrimp in blanket, the Bangkok drumsticks and a Patty roll, which is two rolls in one. Everything was great and I had leftovers to enjoy later. Sometimes it is not the food or the service or even the ambience of a restaurant that defines it, it is the character. And sadly, this establishment has none. It matters not that the owner was not present as I was purposefully embarrassed by the staff; the people that work there are the face of the business and no customer should ever be subjected to an experience like this. I suffer from a medical condition whereby having a service dog greatly improves my quality of life. My dog is fully trained as a service animal in accordance with the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act and sits quietly under the table in restaurants when I dine out. When I arrived at the restaurant, I asked for a table. The hostess asked if I would like to be seated inside or outside, and I stated that I would like to sit inside. The hostess then informed me that I was not allowed to sit inside with a dog. I calmly informed her that the dog was a service dog and she said it was a rule by the owner of the restaurant that no dogs were allowed inside. I told her that that was a violation of law under the Americans with disabilities act and she again insisted that the restaurant does not allow dogs inside. At that point I told her that I would be reporting this to the authorities facing possible legal action and she agreed to get her manager. Her manager came over and asked for my service dog certificate. I informed her that there was no certification of service animals and she told me that if I had no certificate, I could not be seated inside. At this point, the entire restaurant was paying attention to the conversation. I again informed her of the legal implications of not allowing me in, and she agreed to call the owner. While she was making the phone call, the patrons of the restaurant began to belittle me in support of claim that I should have a certificate for my service animal. Such certification does not exist, and I should not have been placed in a position where I had to defend myself from other customers who also did not know the laws and regulations which are associated with service animals. One of the patrons went so far is to say that the restaurant can refuse to serve anybody and should ask me to leave. With the increasing hostility by the diners in the restaurant, I felt not only insulted, but that my personal safety was jeopardized by the actions of the staff of the restaurant. I left and went next-door to another establishment where I was treated with respect and in full compliance with the regulations of the Americans With Disabilities Act. I have had wonderful reviews about the food at this restaurant. I was looking forward to enjoying one of my favorite types of cuisine at a nearby eatery. Instead I have not eaten at this restaurant, and after this experience, I never will. Because character counts. I feel strongly that I need to post this experience because those who do patronize an establishment that behaves in such a despicable and discriminatory manner are complicit with this type of behavior. There are many other choices, and I encourage people of conscience to choose elsewhere. read more

It was a very hectic day for mw.when I ate here...so my mind was not on taking photos of our food. Anyway, we decided to eat a cuisine neither of us eat very often. I ordered spring rolls and the Shrimp in the Woods. That is shrimp and a bunch of veggies. I don't like super spicy food so this sounded good. It had some good flavor. I wish there were mushrooms in it but what I had was very good. The spring rolls were standard. Nothing too exciting. He ordered the Little Big Man which is that fish with the bones thing. Bangkok Bangkok on North Kendall Drive is listed as the Best Thai Restaurant in Miami, as advertised on their website. Therein itself is the best reason to visit. Is it the best Thai restaurant for flavor and spice? Is it the best Thai restaurant for service? Meanwhile BB serves delicious Japanese food from famous Kanisu, stir fry noodles to Sushi and Sashimi. BB has creative titles for their many dishes such as London Golden Bridge, Earth, Wind, & Fire II and Neptune's Nemesis and you will find yourself at odds on what to order. Our highlight Little Big Man (fresh fish fried until the outside of the fish is crispy and the inside soft, glazed in fiery chili sauce) was perfect. The Egg fried rice lunch special was bland, not spicy and generous serving of Pad Thai Chicken lunch special works well with the rice and pad Thai combo. As we are used to authentic "spicy" food, we had to ask for additional strong spices since the what we ordered lacked in spice. Though the food met most of our expectations, we were not too thrilled about level of service, at our lunch. The engagement was limited and our sided. My Wife and I love Thai. It has been a struggle to find an authentic Thai restaurant in Miami. We decided to try this restaurant as were waiting for an appt to get our nails done. We were greeted upon entering the restaurant possible about 10 tables inside and a few tables for outside seating as well. There is a small sushi bar. They had a separate wine and drink menu. And they even had a drink of the day, plum wine something. We didn't get it but it looked delicious. My wife got Pad Kee mo pork the true name for drunken noodle. I got my usual favorite panang curry with chicken. And of course we got Thai teas to wash it all down. The food and tea was delicious it is the best Thai we have found in the west Kendall area. On previous visit in Jan 2024, I had a Japanese Eel handroll which was okay but not as delicious as the one at Sushin. I realize taste is subjective.
