I noticed that there was only one server for the entire packed restaurant; she was doing the best she could but shouldn't be asked to do it all on her own. Tod Man Pla, papaya salad, mango sticky rice, crab fried rice, lard pla tod ( Thai herb spices ) , ginger tofu eggplant, green curry with quarter crispy duck, a Leo beer and two Thai ice tea. The Thai fish cake is good but too thin. The papaya salad is excellent. All the main courses passed our expectations! The mango sticky rice is great too. New owners took over in Nov. This space is very tiny and cute. It is small and looked to be located inside a train car. The ceiling is low and the windows are short. The interior is heavily decorated with Thai decorations like wooden women, murals, Thai-fabric, and mandelas. I tried crispy cups from the appetizer menu, duck curry, beef salad, coconut ice cream with fried banana, mango sticky rice, and khi mao noodles. The noodles didn't come with many noodles itself. It had a lot more vegetables. The beef salad was on the salty side but I liked that they didn't skimp on the fermented fish sauce flavor. The duck curry was very good because the duck was crunchy and they didn't leave bones inside. It was drier than I expected in terms of it not being mostly curry. Curry sauce was just spread a little on top. The crispy cups were my least favorite dish. They were wonton wrappers that didn't seem freshly fried/baked and were filled with peas and carrots and curry powder. It seemed like the vegetables were the kind you'd find in the frozen pre-packed area. The mango sticky rice was good but wasn't the best I've had. The fried banana was made with eggroll-like wrapper. My favorite part of the entire meal was the coconut ice cream with ginger caramel syrup. The coconut flavor was excellent and the texture was stretchy and had a nice consistency. I also liked that they gave a good amount of coconut ice cream. Service: 5 stars Food: 3.5 stars I had the larb, ped Penang (duck curry), curry puffs, coconut ice cream and taro pearl with coconut. The larb was disappointing. Taste kind of burnt. The duck Penang is not bad just wish there were more sauce. Curry puff is good but their sauce doesn't have enough vinegar. Taro pearl with coconut for dessert is super yummy. Coconut ice cream had flakes inside. So if you don't mind the coconut flakes, you should get the coconut ice cream. Compare to Thailand, the food in Thailand taste better. I still prefer Thai food in queens over Thai food here. However this place is ran by southern Thai people so their taste might be a bit different. We went here on a fluke on the way home from a swim meet. My son had the duck which was delicious and the yellow curry was very good but the other stuff was just ok. My companions love their chicken dishes. Great food, good service, nice atmosphere. Works well for meat-eaters, vegetarians and vegans. It's a small place, but friendly with nice ambiance. The service can be a tad slow when it's busy, and there's no good place to wait for a table when it's really crowded. The staff is attentive and they try to get to know their customers. A tiny little gem! It's in what looks like an old train car - it's narrow and adorable. The decor on the walls and hanging from the ceiling is beautiful. The bathroom needs an update for sure. The food is great. If you want traditional Thai, this is the place to go. The spice level is prepared to order, so you can have it as mild or hot as you'd like. Delicious Pad Thai ^_^ (Not too sweet) As you can see in the photos I added we got an array of food and enjoyed all of it except the fried bananas. They were a plantain wrapped in the egg roll wrapper and fried. I would have preferred a regular banana fried without the wrapper, but when combined with the coconut ice cream it was a nice contrast. Also the spring rolls were fried, I thought Spring Rolls were usually in the transparent rice paper. Either way we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend this place to our friends. Service is speedy and accommodating to all allergies. The food was fresh and hot. The ambiance could use a little background music but decor is beautiful. Parking is available on the street and also there is public parking at the end of the street and one block over. read more

I'm surprised that for the past 25 years I've been living in Rockland County and have not tried this Thai restaurant out. Usually, my family and I go to Thai garden for out Thai fix but this on Memorial day, Thai garden was closed and we were forced to explore. We came to the conclusion to try this place out. It was such a quaint little place tucked away in a corner of Nyack. Being stubborn, I was a little hesitant on trying this place out but I'm glad we did! First off, there was only one person up front. She was so sweet and handled everything in the front of the house. It was really impressive! She didn't even write down orders, just listened to our order of 7-8 items and ran it to the back without any faults. Now on to the food: I ordered the Tom Yum and veggie curry puffs for appetizers. Both were alright, nothing to really phone home about. However, the entrees were amazing. From the noodles to the rice to the sauce, everything was perfect! I LOVED the pineapple fried rice. They used a different kind of rice that I'm not accustomed to and it blew me away. I definitely would recommend getting that!! For someone who wasn't even willing to try this place out, I can tell you that they convinced me that this place is worth going to! Stlll one of my favorites and I've been going here for years! Their Thai house salad is wonderful. (They make a mean peanut sauce.) The Mee Grob and Pad Thai are also superb here - I order these two dishes all over and it's hard to beat how this place does it! The Tiger Cry was also delightful. We were very impressed by the food, service and spirit of this little neighborhood gem. Had dinner there last night, with a party of 7, and the owner was the sole operator handling the entire front-end of the restaurant, without a hic-up including taking inbound phone orders as well as waiting, serving and busing tables on a busy night. This is a cute little thai restaurant. I stepped in and immed'ly noticed a PACKED restaurant and a low ceiling that was curved. It reminded me of bus. This bus is decorated with wall paper, photos hung on the walls and angel-like ornaments strung from the ceiling. I felt like I left NYC. Even though the appetizers (spring rolls and curry puffs) were delectable, I am giving Thai House 3 stars cuz my noodles were a bit dry. Maybe cuz it was prime time dinner time. I ordered the Khe Mao Noodles with Chicken. The chicken slices were hot and the noodles were cool-to-warm. Perhaps as the chicken was being cooked, the pre-cooked noodles were waiting a bit too long to unite with the cooked chicken. My cousin enjoyed her seafood served on a hot plate and bowl of rice (don't know if it was jasmine). Located in a small "old train-looking building" off the main Nyack strip, this quaint restaurant is OK but not fabulous for Thai places. It seems like Thai restaurants are typically pretty consistent with their food but this one seemed subpar in comparison to that level standard. The food was not stupendous. I had the chicken special and the chicken was overcooked ($14/15); the portions were also not big. We also had the soft shell crab appetizer and the body that I bit into tasted like the sea, in a bad way: It almost felt like seasickness. The legs were fine, since they were just fried! I likely would have been happier with one of the vegetarian dishes, as the tofu tasted good and they had a pretty extensive menu for non-meat lovers (no real chance of overcooking anything either!) The curry puff appetizer also tasted good but not huge portions. The service was a little bit slow and inattentive and the food didn't come out quickly, as there was only one waitress. It wasn't a wow'ing experience, but like most Thai places, not horrible either. read more

I will do my best to avoid comparing Bangkok Station to its previous iteration as I believe that would be unfair. The service was excellent, everything came out quickly and the food was presented nicely. We had the lunch special, a great value for the amount of food and the quality. Chive pancakes were a bit surprising as they aren't really pancakes, more like nuggets of chives in batter. Dumplings were good too. The red curry with crispy duck was flavorful and they didn't skimp on the protein; I opted for a quarter of a duck vs a half and was satisfied with it. The pad kee mao with beef was lovely too. My partner got a lychee Thai tea to go. It was delicious, and came with a whole lychee floating in it. It's still a great lunch option and is well worth a visit! read more

The Tom Yum Tofu was a nice soup but the serving size of about 1 cup was so small for the price of $4.95. It was celery, carrots, few cubes of tofu in a light broth. That is way overpriced for that kind of soup. The Tofu Ma Muang was like stir-fried snap peas, baby corn, bell peppers, onion, cashews, and tofu. I was a little confused with the name of the dish because I know "ma muang" means mango but no mango in the description or dish so I don't know why it has that name. Dish came with a small bowl of rice. Yummy dish. Medium serving size dish in general but not sure if worth $12.95. Overall, very beautiful and small place with great choices but somewhat small servings. read more

This food was underwhelming. My pad seew had baby corn and carrots, which is a mark of really cheap Chinese food. It was not spicy, although we ordered it so, and the noodles were not the thick rice noodles usually in the dish- they most resembled bagged rice noodles. Duck was properly cooked, but drowned in a viscous sauce that bore no flavor. Served again w those carrots and baby corns. I really love this restaurant. I don't go here as often as I would like, but whenever I do go I am always very satisfied and happy. I usually get the same few things because it's hard for me to branch out when those few things are so stinking good. (Please forgive my spelling, I am not Thai nor do I have the menu in my face.) I get the mee grob, which is the crispy noodle, shrimp, and sweet sauce. I literally eat the whole thing by myself. It's not that it's small, it's that I just can't stop eating it. Thai dumplings? I forget the name but man I love those along with the Thai spring rolls. For my meal I usually get the Gang gari kai. It's yellow curry with potatoes and chicken, sometimes I'll sub shrimp or get both. Either way it's so stinking delicious. For dessert I like having a Thai iced tea and the sticky rice with mango. The staff is great and I love the restaurant. I always pass the other Thai restaurant in town and it's usually busier but honestly I think it's because people just don't know about this one. ITS SO MUCH BETTER. (Sorry) Hope you give this place a shot! I love eating here and I know you will too ** On a side note: I do wish they had a lunch special or something. No longer an amazing place to eat ever since the previous owner retired in the fall. Our fave appetizers, summer rolls and mee grob, have been removed. WHY would you do that??? They were very popular, and also gluten free! And our fave meal, Goong ob woon sen, is no longer available gluten free & soy free. We were told it comes in "a pre-packaged sauce." That wasn't the case with the previous owner. She added real ginger to it and was able to easily accommodate any dietary restrictions. But the new owner removed that for this ginger flavored soy sauce (to save money?). They also took out the carrots & added bacon. Completely made the dish different, unsafe for people with allergies, and it seems more like fast food takeout than the high quality Thai restaurant that it was under the previous owner. The new owners also chopped the menu down to NOTHING. Shockingly few options and too much fried food! Make sure you look before you go because there are very, very few options now... and even less if you don't eat gluten, soy, fried food. We almost left the moment we sat down! And the new owners also jacked up the prices by several dollars an item. You will pay $6-$7 more for food that isn't anywhere as good as it was. Seems like way too many corners were cut and it just killed this place. Also, they had music playing like John Denver, that does not go with Thai food. It would have been fine in a diner, but not when you're out for Thai. This doesn't feel nor taste like an authentic Thai restaurant anymore. My food arrived on soggy greens, yet also with overcooked dried out string beans. The duck was crispy and ok, but not at all what I wanted. I had basically no gluten/soy free options so I had to choose duck. I dont like curry sauce. Even the steak they said is pre-marinated in sauce that's not gluten free. WHY??? Many people have allergies and when this food is unable to be made without gluten & soy... you lose massive business. We said we could have just gotten chinese food and stayed home and saved a fortune. But we wanted Thai... and decided to check out Thai House under new management. We will NOT be back. I do have to say that we left a 20% tip because our waiter was just so sweet and he wasn't to blame for the new owners completely ruining what used to be the BEST BEST BEST Thai place in the area. read more

Came here on a Sunday night for dinner. The place was not crowded which is perfect when you have two kids. The staff was very friendly. We got spring rolls and a Tom Yum soup for starters and the kids loved them. They were good. The sauce that comes with it is a bit spicy so the kids ate the rolls without the sauce. The kids shared a crispy chicken with pineapple dish that was under their specials. My husband got a duck dish and I got a chicken green curry dish. Everything was very delicious. The best! This 50s diner turned Thai restaurant has a warm and intimate atmosphere. Owner/waitress is more than accommodating making sure food is prepared to your taste (level of spice for example). The food is terrible. I never waste food but we threw the entire order in the garbage after struggling through a few bites. We love Thai food but this is the worst I've ever eaten. If we hadn't ordered take out, we would have left the restaurant without eating the food. We ordered two types of noodles (Pad See Eew & Khi Mao), which were dry & almost indistinguishable from each other; fresh spring rolls, which were far from fresh--mushy and covered in a failed tamarind sauce, fried spring rolls which were dry and tasteless, and tom kha gai, which was nearly edible.
