Yuck. The "Chicken" soup was cold and tasteless. The Shrimp Thai Pad was dry. They were overly generous (sarcasm] with shrimp- there were three. The egg roll was good. The only outstanding item was the very cold water. Very disappointed.​ read more

Ordered take out. Order was ready within 15 minutes. Husband had the ginger grouper and enjoyed. I had the sweet and sour fried rice but was underwhelmed. "Fried rice" was not what you'd typical expect. Taste of dish was good overall but sauce was on thin side and wanted more shrimp. read more

Have been going to this restaurant for many years and always have gotten the best food in the area but tonight's food was a huge disappointment . This review is for Doordash food delivered only. Since my last review Bangkok Thai has upped their game in their menu offerings. One of the reasons we preferred Thai Phoon in Crystal River was because they offered fresh spring rolls with a delicious peanut sauce. I am happy to say that now Bangkok Thai is making fresh spring rolls and I have to say that they are top notch in flavor and size. Very fresh, very tasty. They offer several different types of fresh rolls but we ordered the shrimp rolls so we could compare them. They were nice and large filled with lettuce, rice noodles, a slice of chicken, Thai basil, carrots and nice portion of shrimp. A side of peanut sauce came with the 2 roll order. It was a good portion of thick sauce made with peanut butter and other ingredients with chopped peanuts on top. We noticed that they are now offering Pho bowls which we're excited to try but decided on trying their Shrimp Pad Thai. We were extremely impressed with the flavor. Noodles and vegetables were cooked to perfection with a nice amount of medium size shrimp. The temperature was great for the meal because of the way it was wrapped. It was wrapped in foil then placed in a styrofoam box with a little fried spring roll- what a nice treat! Very, very pleased and cannot wait to try all their new menu items!! read more

We have been patrons of Bangkok Thai for 2 plus years. We drive from Dunnellon to Beverly Hills, FL to get our Thai fix. Since the restaurant has changed ownership, the experience has been terrible. Service is lacking as ordered items are forgotten and a glass of wine takes about 20 minutes to arrive and there is hardly anyone in the restaurant. Our glasses of water remained unreplenished and our food was lukewarm. The portions are smaller and not of the same quality . We used to come in and wait for a table and watch the tables turn at least 3 times while we were there. I miss the staff and miss the really good food. I doubt we will be back. read more

No good place. Seated others first who came in after us. Then they took the order of food from three other tables and we barely got something to drink. I motioned to an older lady who was bringing foo d out to tables. She ignored me so we both left. On the way out there were many people waiting to be seated. They can have our table. Authentic and delicious. The only problem with this place is the line out the door. It's not secret how good the food is here.

Visiting the area and decided to treat Mom to dinner. Bangkok Thai was her top choice. Called our order in advance of an hour and a half. Menu had many options including noodle dishes, three with your choice of protein: beef, chicken, shrimp, squid, scallops, and pork. Mom ordered the Pa da Mee with Shrimp and I tried one of their specialty dishes the Deluxe cashew salmon. We shared their steamed dumplings which came as a recommendation from another Yelper. Arrived at expected time, everyone was wearing a mask as per current Co-vid practice. Inside seating was available with proper distancing. While waiting on line to pick up our order noticed that there were several boxes lined up for pick up, hm I wonder how long they have been sitting out? There were 5 boxes lines up on a counter and tables with nothing to keep them warm. Ours was the first box. So don't know how long it was sitting there for. This is my only negative since our food was barely warm when we got home. Quality and flavor was wonderful we really enjoyed the dumplings and the Pa da mee were excellent. The salmon was cool and swimming in sauce, no crunchy coating but still good. Might have hit it out of the park had it been hotter. (Side note: house is under construction and no microwave was available to reheat). I would definitely go back and try some of the other wonderful menu items. read more

A friend raved about this place so I decided to check it out while in the area. Maybe it's good for the area but my experience disappointed. Arrived here on a Saturday evening around 7:30 and no reservations were needed. From the outside the place truly looks like a total hole in the wall but the interior is quite nice. You don't even realize you are in a strip mall. The restaurant is small and cozy. Unfortunately, they only serve beer and wine here, no fun drinks. For the app I wanted to try fish cake but found out it's deep fried (?) so we ordered steamed dumplings instead. However, the waitress somehow missed that so our dumplings arrived after our entrees. For my dinner I went with sea madness, requesting it light on the oil with a side of brown rice. This came out drenched in oil and sauce and was a major disappointment because I was hungry. Thank goodness for those dumplings, which turned out quite all right. I would order those again. Overall: ok service, beer/wine only, decent prices but I wasn't impressed with the taste or quality of food. read more
