We stopped here for lunch today. It has a traditional decor so I liked that. We split several different items. Steamed dumplings which were our favorite item! Then spring rolls which were very fresh. And we split a medium spicy noodle dish with chicken. Everything tasted good, service was great. Give it a try!

The beef noodle soup was amazing and very well priced tons of beef, I would highly recommend this place. It's a hole in the wall but gorgeous on the inside great service and really authentic food. Very delicious.

Went here for lunch and I enjoyed it. I usually prefer the sauce of my pad seew to be a little stickier and caramelized with the noodles and I've had better Thai food but it's a really great spot for the price. The restaurant is very nice inside and the staff is very friendly. I would definitely come back.

Green curry chicken!

Went here recently as we drove through town with my folks. Service was excellent. The owner, Josie, was super friendly as was our server, Angel. We had a couple of orders of Tom Kha soup (very tasty; could've used a little bit more veggies in there, but the broth was delicious). We also had some green curry dishes and and order of larb. The curries were delicious and fresh and the larb; although not like the traditional I've seen where it's chopped up, was also delicious and fresh. I would definitely go back again!

Carpenter ant in my fried rice.

A coworker and I went here based on the reviews. I ordered the crab rangoons as an appetizer. They were decent but overpriced (5 for $11 or $12). I ordered the chicken fried rice. When it arrived I was a little nervous because it didn't smell very appetizing. I had a couple of bites and it wasn't great so I asked for some soy sauce. I then found a giant black CARPENTER ANT in my rice. . I put it on a side plate and gave it to the waitress. She inspected it, showed it to another employee and said "it's an ant." Exactly. She apologized and told us we were all set (since my coworker also lost his appetite).

Pad se ew with beef

For American pricing and standards, I felt that the portions should be larger. Royal Orchard seems to be lacking in their portions. When I order pad see ew with beef there is usually enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Judging from photos it might be the best spot in Ocala for Thai food.

Sweet and sour with chicken

Found this hidden gem and the food is great! Red curry tofu, sweet and sour chicken and sauté cashew with vegetables were our choices. We will be back for sure! Service was great as well.

Pretty good delivery Thai in the Ocala area. Drunken noodles were good. Tom Kha was good but not great.

I had Thai on one visit and sushi on the other. The Thai was decent. It didn't have a lot of spice for medium which I ordered to be on the safe side. Probably should have went with medium plus or hot. The sushi was very good. I don't know how much competition they have in Ocala but I could definitely see this being a regular spot if I lived in Ocala. Service was fine, I've got no complaints there. The one very memorable negative thing I noticed on both visits was they were absolutely blasting the AC on both visits when it wasn't anywhere near scorching outside. The first time I had on short sleeves and was near the edge of my comfort level- I nearly went back out to my rental to get a hoodie. The second time was later in the evening and it had cooled off a lot outside but the air conditioning was still working like the restaurant was on the planet Venus. Like the knob was on 11 like the amplifiers on Spinal Tap. Fortunately I was dressed appropriately this time but I did hear a large table of older ladies complain about it multiple times before bringing it to the attention of the server. Resolvable temperature concerns aside, I'd recommend the sushi here and give the Thai a second chance as well.

For her it's good as the Pho's are gluten free. We also ordered the veg. Spring rolls with tofu (extra $1.50). We each had an order and they were very good. The dipping sauce for my wife was GF and tasty as was the peanut sauce. This all being said, we both felt that the Pho's were ok. We were hoping for a bit more flavor. The server didn't write the orders down and very typical as when not written, something is incorrect. She left off the fried onions from my Pho and had to request them. The goodies of basil, bean sprouts and items were a bit shy for us and after asking for more, the server brought more at no extra charge. Very nice! The food was sufficient and filled us up! Would we come back? Maybe not for a while. We were hoping for a bit more Pho flavor. We would give them 3.5 stars this time. Sorry....

We live…read morein The Villages, unfortunately there just aren't any authentic ethnic restaurants in The Villages. There are wanna be Chinese restaurants in The Villages but the food is Chinese-American and I would not even eat there or recommend them. Yummy House in Ocala was actually referred to us by the owner of Square 1 Burgers in The Villages, another fantastic restaurant but that's another review. Yummy House offers a variety of authentic Chinese dishes, and they also offer Dim Sum on weekends. The first time my spouse and I went there, we couldn't believe the choices. We used to always drive to Peter's Kitchen in Orlando but it was over an hour to drive there for us. Ocala was much closer and to be quite honest just as good as the restaurant in Orlando. Every dish I've ordered there has been out of this world. Which makes it so hard for me to choose my entrée. I do have a favorite server at Yummy House. His name is Ming. So, when I dine at Yummy House, I always ask to be seated at Ming's area. I also golf in Ocala which friends, about 8 to 12 of us. After golf, we normally have lunch together too. So, Yummy House is at the top of the list for us. When we do, I call the restaurant ahead to make a reservation and ask them to assign Ming to us. Ming always provides excellent service and especially with me being Asian, he kind of knows what type of dish I like and when I order a dish he will normally make suggestions to add to the dish or cook a certain way that knows I would like. He also makes suggestions to each person in our group and sometimes he'll tell them to try a dish that he's sure they've never had before. He tries to take them out of their comfort zone. They've always been happy with his suggestion. The restaurant itself reminds me of some of the Chinese restaurants I've been to that is not a fast-food restaurant. Very authentic inside. They also offer a beer called Lucky Buddha. I think everyone likes to order the beef because the bottle is in the shape of Buddha. Yesterday, we met friends at Yummy House who are visiting from Boston. Unfortunately, Ming was off and another server took care of us. He was a good server but just not like Ming who really goes out of his way to talk to you, joke and laugh. However, he was not a bad server but he was just there to provide server and do his job. So, I cannot fault him for that. So overall the entire experience yesterday was good. I highly recommend Yummy House if you are near the Ocala area and are craving for authentic Chinese food.

Con's- Didn't like the fact that when placing an order online you're forced to tip. (I don't mind tipping but prefer to tip when I pick up my order) Upon walking in it didn't smell too good. I had to ask for condiments and utensils. (In my opinion if I've already tipped before picking up my togo order utensils should've definitely been packed. I understand that condiments shouldn't be in bag as some don't want/need them.) Pros - Food was good and flavorful. Portion size was mediocre and average. Maybe later we will go and try the dim sum but if the smell is there when we walk in we will walk right back out.

However, this ramen was just as good, and I ate it right away. This was one of the best-tasting broths; I ordered the black garlic tonkotsu. The black garlic oil was smoky, rich, smooth, and lingering. It doesn't have that "garlic breath" bite, but it stays with you. The "umami bomb" profile sets it apart from standard varieties that only an authentic ramen place can do well. It was incredible! The noodles were bouncy and chewy, and the chashu was delicate and melt-in-your-mouth. I appreciated the separated noodles from the broth to preserve its texture.
