~On-Vacation Micro Review~ Pit stop before Kings Bay. So many options at this restaurant. While it may appear slightly hole-in-the-wall, it's worth it. Fresh sushi. We also liked that the restaurant had sushi, Thai, ramen, and hibachi. It felt like an appropriate assortment, especially since it all tasted fresh. If you like cooked rolls, try the dynamite roll. We go regularly to NAHA for our Asian fix. The last couple of visits have shown us that the food quality has dropped. Sushi/sashimi meats have been slightly warmer than room temperature when it generally is served chilled. Teriyaki chicken is now a formed patty that is not marinated (it was explained to us that the Mario's flour, corn starch and oil) WTH? The California roll had brown avocado pieces and the fried shumai was cold. It's sad because this was the best place around for sushi. We aren't going back there. :( read more

Great place to eat! Not sure why it has so few reviews. The inside is nice and clean, and the menus aren't too complicated. The service was very good and the food was brought out surprisingly quickly, especially considering that we were a party of nine. There's great variety even extending to Pad Thai, unique for a Japanese restaurant. I ordered the Hibachi chicken, some miso soup, and a bit of sushi. All three tasted very good and those around me who ordered Pad Thai also enjoyed. My only critiques are the following: I would specify nigiri on the menu, instead of just listing it as "sushi 2 pcs" because that confused me a bit. Furthermore, even though the food tasted good, they were slightly on the pricier side. We were in the mood for something new . We heard about a sushi, hibachi, ramen place in crystal river. We started with the dumplings that were tasty. We had the duck spring roll next . There wasn't much duck but the spinach and mustard sauce we loved. I ordered the ninja roll. It was deep fried with yellow tail,avocado,cream cheese,scallions and more. It was delicious. We also ordered the angry dragon roll. Shrimp, crab, avocado,asparagus topped with a piece of steak. It was very good also. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I have been waiting to try this new little gem and was very happy I finally got to give it a try...first I will tell you about the service..we had the sweetest girl wait on us and was right there when we needed her and to answer all our questions..ordered a Crab Rangoon and the Shrimp Tempura Appetizers..Crab Rangoon was hot and delicious and had a nice dipping sauce..the Tempura was lukewarm up on arrival and the sauce for dipping was o.k. ordered a Hibachi Chicken lunch which is served with Fried Rice and Veggies..all very flavorful and would order again..Pad Thai..tried this just because....Chicken Pad Thai was o.k. will be back to try some other things..the menu is huge and there is something for everyone..lots of Sushi choices and Ramen too...I will be going back... read more

You ask what went well? It ALL went well! We'd never been there before so we ordered a tempura appetizer, hibachi chicken and steak and a California and shrimp tempura rolls. Everything was FANTASTIC! One thing we look at when we are out isn't the employees seem happy. Everyone there seemed to genuinely enjoy it there. We had Shelly as our server and she was fabulous! Been waiting for a decent Sushi place near me since moving from NY and finally found this one. Ordered take out for 3 people......tonkatsu ramen bowl, Hawaii roll, sushi app, shrimp tempura app and 2 chicken teriyaki dinners.......everything was really delicious, seemed very fresh and cooked to perfection. Roll was gigantic and sooooo good. All meat was tender and not dry. Sauces were great and very nice portions all around. My only suggestion is the ramen noodles should be packaged separate from the broth because they were a little soft and soggy when we got home and also they were more like lomain noodles rather the traditional ramen noodles I'm used to but still very delicious. A little pricy for the area we are in but definitely worth it ($82 bucks). I will definitely be ordering again and I highly recommend this place for anyone who like or wants to try this type of cuisine. read more

They messed up our order and served chicken in a shrimp Pantai bowl. The owner refused to satisfactorily correct the problem. The owner offered us a $2.00 discount which is an insult to correct the problem. The correct response for the owner should have been to take the mistake meal completely off our bill but that obvious option was never offered to us. We did not make the mistake. Fist of all, beware of construction outside the plaza. Staff greeting was pleasant and polite. Order was Crab Rangoon, spicy girl roll as starters and then we had Spicy Tonkatsu Raman and Kimchi Raman with (4) Shrimp tempura as our entree. The decor inside was lacking but not uncommon for the area.. very clean and basic without cause for mention. Server was prompt and appetizers arrived quickly. Both items were very tasty and we because excited to see what's next! The timing for our entree was perfect as well. However, the Raman selection is very limited and they skimp on the ingredients. Raman egg was not great and very, very small- they only include half egg per bowl to boot. Pork was very thin sliced pork loin 2 small pieces in the Tokatsu and only 1 slice in the kimchi Raman. If I go back it's just for the sushi as the Raman was a horrible value for what you get and the flavors weren't worth writing about. Cheers! read more

I stopped in Friday night 02/10/2023 for my second time here. I ordered the Sashimi plate which I believe was 15 pieces of assorted Chefs choice, plus I ordered an extra 3 piece Salmon. Everything was good and taste fresh, but I left still hungry and still craving Sushi. I'll definitely be back, but might try some rolls next time. +1 They had sweet tea! I wanted to wait until Naha received their liquor license to post a review. My husband ordered the first beer to be served! Wine is coming. Since we first tried Naha, we've visited at least 5 times and we have our favorites that we crave. Tom yum Soup, ginger salad, red and white nigiri and the caterpillar roll. Service is excellent, atmosphere is clean and smartly decorated. We're so happy to be able to get great sushi so close to home now. The menu is varied so non-sushi eaters will find plenty of options.
