Stopped by during the lunch rush. Cute space and wonderful staff; and they were pretty fast even during the rush. I got the Coconut Pandan Cloud which was amazing! I also got the cold cute Bahn Mi and it was also delicious; plenty of veggies and meat. I would definitely one back.

I got the cold cut banh mi, spring rolls and the pandan viet coffee! Banh mi has great flavors and love the pork floss that's not something I typically have in banh mis! I wish the bread was a bit crisper rather than chewy. Spring rolls were great we got the pork one and super flavorful with the sauce. Also loved my pandan viet coffee I was wired for the day! Overall I would come back again!

Stopped into Banh Mi House during their soft opening weekend. Despite being brand new, it was super busy! We did wait a bit to order, but it's good that they are getting so much fanfare in a spot that has traditionally struggled, I hope they stay busy! We got the Hose Special Pork Banh Mi, Pork Lemongrass Bowl, and the Beef Bowl. All three were great. The portion sizes were all pretty big, especially the bowls. The Banh Mi had a lot of meat and the bread was super fresh. The lemongrass pork was my favorite, very crispy and flavorful. The beef was a bit more tender and required some sauce. Definitely opt for the house banh mi sauce, even for the noodle and rice bowls, it's to die for! They have a good amount of seating and free cold water. There's coffee drinks too, but all have milk. Hopefully they will add a non-dairy coffee option. Staff is friendly to talk to and all seem like one big friend/family group. Definitely give this place a try soon!

While waiting for our show to begin at the Southern theatre. My kids and I decided to try this new restaurant for a snack and coffee. I tried to do the online ordering but it wasn't available so we decided to stop in and order. It's street parking so that's limited, The restaurant was clean and had an open concept vibe. It was beautiful but, the line and ordering process was the downfall. There was only one register and no one taking orders so we stood in line and waited for over 15 minutes and the line still didn't move but was growing longer. I definitely would say that if you plan to eat here on a Saturday afternoon plan to stand in line like it's a food truck stand and wait, wait, wait for your food.

Wow! I had the lemongrass pork sandwich and it was the best thing I've had for lunch in a long, long time! Every part of it was fresh, flavorful, and perfect! Service was quick and friendly. For the portion size I got the prices are SO reasonable. Cute spot with seats or grab and go. Very glad they're in the neighborhood, can't wait to go back. Next time I'll ask them to cut the sandwich in half, my only advice!

There were 2 tables separated which was a bit awkward. Not sure if that was a choice or how it's just always set up. I believe the room required a $1000 min spend (or maybe more) but to my surprise the menu was pre planned (personal nightmare for me as I don't eat pork/beef/seafood - most of the menu). I looked at the menu days before and there weren't many things I could eat... but I was excited to see they had basil wings. We had welcome drinks which were good and were able to order drinks from the cocktail menu. The food started coming out but 2/4 ppl at our table didn't eat beef/pork and again we didn't realize there was a 2nd special menu for another person at the other table so that table got foods different from ours and we had to order additional chicken and rice. Pretty much wasted 1/2 of the dishes of food on our table. The basil wings were good but the rice wasn't good - very bland. The bill came to almost $3k and split 16 ways (after the event) $180 for 5 wings, bland rice & 2 cocktails definitely left a bad taste for me. I get this was the terms of attending the event and may be more so on the host not communicating how it works prior but for $3k definitely could have been better. After we ate we were told they have a speaker hook-up for music, people were already leaving. We did have a great time but definitely should have had music going upon arrival. Super tiny parking lot but plenty of street parking. They have a really cute patio and the main restaurant is cute!

If you're looking to try a dish that is uniquely Khmer, this soup is one of them. The soup has flavors from roasted rice and kreung, a fragrant blend of lemongrass, makrut lime leaves, garlic, galangal, tumeric. Cheng Heng's version had green beans, round green eggplants, spinach, young papaya, and kabocha squash, plus a protein choice (I chose chicken). The somlaw was hearty, and very filling. The portion was more than enough to share. I can imagine myself ordering this on a cold winter evening. Their menu was full of amazing Cambodian dishes, but unfortunately, I was one, otherwise I would have ordered other items like the Somlaw Machu Kreung, and Somlaw Machu Angkor as well. I would love to return but with company, so I can taste more of their dishes.

Chive cakes had a nice chewy texture inside and crispy outside from being fried. The noodle soup bowls here are a great portion size... they range from regular-L-XL. Regular was a good size for my friend and I, especially when combined with our apps. The roasted chicken was tender and had really good flavor and color. Both noodle soup broths are on the sweeter side. Overall would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to try Cambodian food for the price, quality, and portion size.
