Get the pork belly, or stewed chicken bahn mi!! The best bahn mi I had
    Sandra S.

I recently visited Paris 2 weeks ago, and as a big Bahn mi lover I knew I had to come here before I left to go back to New York. Walked 20 minutes from my Airbnb in the crazy rain to get here, and it was all worth it! If I had another day in Paris, I would come back here without any hesitation. My sister and I ordered 3 different types of Bahn mi to try: chicken, pork belly and beef. All 3 of them were so delicious, but the one that was the most outstanding was the pork belly (2nd place was the chicken). The pork belly Bahn mi was the best Bahn mi I ever had (comparing it to all the ones I have tried in NYC, Texas & California). I have not been to Vietnam so I can not compare. The pork belly was so tender, juicy and full of flavor & the baguette was of such high quality. The owner was also very generous in adding a lot of condiments (pickled carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, etc). The baguette sandwich itself was ginormous (2-3 people can share it). The chicken Bahn mi was also very delicious - super tender stewed chicken and full of flavor. Owner was super nice, friendly and generous. P.S - come early because her foods are so popular they run out quick. Owner said you can call her and place an order for pickup. She said her noodles are also very delicious, but when we came it was all sold out. Since coming home from Paris, I miss the Bahn mi here very much. I wish NYC had a Bahn mi like hers.

    Beef banh mi

Delicious banh mi, perfect portions of beef, carrots, and cucumber to baguette. We were able to get out banh mis spicy! Lady in the front is fabulous and is speaking Vietnamese. Legit.

It didn't feel right to leave Paris without trying a Vietnamese sandwich with an real French baguette! If I had more time, I'd definitely explore more of the Vietnamese cuisine in Paris but a banh mi was a must at the very least! This shop was one of the more well reviewed in the area so made a trip on one of our last few days in Paris. It's VERY small so expect to take our to go or expect a squeeze. My friend and I ended up getting a pâte banh mi and a chicken plate to share. Neither was anything super special - the sandwich didn't have enough pâte spread nor did it have any of the pickled veggies that I usually enjoy - but both were tasty enough! Baguette for the banh mi was, as expected, solid. The iced coffee, while 5ish euros (?!?) was EXTREMELY yummy!! If you're a little tired of French cuisine, give this place a shot!

My boyfriend and I are Vietnamese and we wanted to try Banh Mi in Paris since their baguettes are much better than in the US. We came here and were surprised at how many people there were! They had run out of the grilled pork, which is fine. So we ordered the pork roll and the special Banh Mi. The Banh Mi was crispy, maybe a little too crispy (we heard one of the girls saying she burnt the bread lol) but it was a solid Banh Mi and hit the spot! It was garnished with pickled veggies and was pretty good. I would come back. Maybe add more meat to veggie ratio!

Gotta go early they run out of most popular meat. We got there at 6pm and they had run out of porc Caramel which i wanted to try. Instead i got the beef and the Hubs got the special which has cha (steam pork) and cha bong (Shredded dried pork). They asked if you want it spicy and he said yes. They put some spicy paste on the bread. He was it a good kick. Much diff from San Jose where they use jalapeños. They put a lot of shredded carrots and herbs vs. picked daikon and carrots in the US. Overall it's ok. The place is a little overpriced. 7.5 euros for a sandwich. Maybe we're spoiled with our prices in the US?

Tried this place when I was sick of spending so much money on ham and cheese at all the Cafes. It was amazing and good price too.

The spicy sausage sandwich fully deserves the five star ratings this restaurant got.

Outstanding vegetarian banh mi in the heart of the garment district - one of the best I've ever had. Very friendly proprietor too.

Every type of meat is good, just get medium spicy or less or else it loses all the flavor.

We tried the jambon sandwich and chicken baguette, paired with a golden ale beer and coffee. Both sandwiches were outstanding--freshly made with incredible bread, generous fillings, and a perfect balance of textures. The strong cheese they offer on the side is a must; it pairs beautifully with the sandwiches, and the staff even lets you try it before deciding, which is a great touch. We did go around 2pm and unfortunately the pastrami was already sold out, which speaks to how popular it is. We also waited about 30-40 minutes in line, but it moved steadily and didn't feel too painful. We were lucky to find a spot to dine in, though most people grab their food to go. Service was friendly and quick despite the constant rush. The atmosphere is more grab-and-go than sit-down, with very limited indoor seating. Most people take their sandwiches to enjoy at a nearby park, which actually adds to the experience. Be prepared for a queue, but it moves faster than expected--and the payoff is absolutely worth it for what might be the best sandwich in the city.

These sandwiches are curated, edible pieces of art made with love by the one and only Alain. It's easy to see why they're so popular. People love the sandwiches so much that his stall inside Marche' Des Efants Rouges can see lines lasting upwards of an hour or more. And people stay in the line. We lucked out and only had to wait about twenty minutes. I tell you, I'd wait all day if need be. I often dream of the sandwiches we had and can't wait to have them again. A picture is worth a thousand words and therefore, my photos can tell you everything you need to know about how good the sandwiches were. It makes me smile when I look at the pic of us with Alain. What a wonderful human being producing wonderful food for the people.

Charcuterie did come with good presentation like wood board or anything but it was a good portion. I didn't read the menu closely and ordered charcuterie as soon as saw it. I wanted to have some cheese with it. I should have ordered assiette royale which comes with both meat and cheese. I also ordered Andrea which comes with burrata. It was great with salad and lemon shavings but anchovies were pretty salty. I suggest to eat it with some kind of bread. Between that two orders, I was stuffed and couldn't even finish it. Honestly it was meant for 3 to 4 people. One of the employees speak English and she was very nice. Overall experience was great and good spot to hang out.

We sat outside at one of their small table on the street. It reminded me of eating street foods in Asia; except this is in Paris. Service was good but could be better if they can explain us what to order on their menu. I liked the Burrata which was creamy with tangy salad and anchovies. It was a great appetizer for us. Charcuterie came with a paper box in to-go or take-out style. It had variety of cured meat slices. Meats had good flavors, textures, tastes from salty to spicy and tangy from lemon slices. It was good to pair with Burrata. Recommend this place in Paris!
