Somehow we ordered the 2019 year part online instead of the 2017 for our truck. We called the store and they were so helpful. They even went to the technician to see what could be done to make it right without having to return, reorder and wait another 6-8 weeks for shipment. They ended up sending us several components that made the parts fit our truck. I know those components were not inexpensive and they did not charge us or require us to send back the components that didn't work. We were very happy with their service. read more

I ordered a '15 GMC 3500 DADC 4x4 which I stalled an Bank's Idash 1.8 data logger over 7yrs ago. The device has worked flawlessly and has saved me thousands $$ anti time by being able to reset limp modes while traveling x country due to emmision system anomalies. Ordered the Cold Ram Air Intake for my 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD on Sept 11 2025 and here it is Nov 25 2025 and it has not delivered. When I purchased, it showed in stock. A day or two later, website showed orders shipping in Oct and here it is at the end of Nov and still no Ram Air Intake. they are quick to respond when asking to purchase but don't count on it after you purchase I purchased the Derringer, and once I received, I noticed both seals on the box were cut, so I contacted Banks and questioned if they sent me out a used Derringer and their response was that they would not send out a used product, and that they open them to make sure the firmware is up to date, I call BS on that, every electronic I ever installed or plugged in updates as soon it is powered up to make sure the firmware is up to date, needless to say I installed it and come to find out it didn't work, so again I contacted them and it was determined the Deringer is faulty and they would send out a new one, HMMM wonder if it was used? I asked if I needed to send the old one back before they sent me the new one, and they told me no and to wait till I had the new one and send it back after he also told me I would receive a tracking number that afternoon which was on Tuesday, and I did not, so I tried to contact them Friday afternoon with no luck and now approaching noon on Monday with still no response or Tracking # once I can get ahold of someone or get a response I will at that point asking for a refund not an exchange for what I personally feel was a used Derringer but can't say for certain, but kind of ironic it didn't work once installed read more

This review is more about their customer service than the products. I have two issues. 1. The return policy has a hefty penalty of 15 to 20%. 2. It is impossible to get a customer service rep on the phone. I have been trying to cancel an order since December 2nd we are now at the 17th. The delay in contacting appears to be tactic to get you to keep the order. Maybe. Maybe not. update: this afternoon I was able to get authorize to return my original order without restocking fees. This effort would not have been necessary of the customer service person could have just canceled the order before shipping. Contacted Alecks a couple weeks prior to see if they would be having any sales for Black Friday since you get a 10% off coupon when you sign up for the email list. He stated at the time they will be having at least 15% that item for Black Friday and to give him a call back. I reviewed a BF2024 coupon code in my email with claims of up to 25% discounts depending on the product. When I punched it in it came back with a 13% discount. So the Bank Power big Black Friday sale is a whopping 3% off what you could get any other day of the year. Banks adds to the fine print that they'll refund unused items (meaning they won't refund if you use item). That fact should be very, very clear up front and it isn't. They also add a 15% restock fee for unopened items. That should have been a red flag for me! Additionally, their return instructions leave no room for customer error or the customer risks an even less amount refunded. Had I clearly known that by installing their throttle controller it would void return/refund then I'd have not used it as was on the fence about it anyway. Deal with these guys and you deal with less than subpar customer service. They won't get my business again. I am very disappointed with the packaging. I ordered the monster ram intake for my Cummins and it was missing the common rail spacers and the heater element. I called customer service and spoke to Dennis. The missing parts were supposed to be overnighted but I don't get them for four days. He sent one spacer and the element. Called back and the best he could do was get the rest of the parts coming.... I purchased the Banks Speed brake in 2017 for a 2009 GMC 3500HD 6.6 LMM. The system worked flawlessly up until a couple of weeks ago. The truck started to get codes p003a, p0299, p2564 and once a p2563. I changed out my air filter, Turbo vane position solenoid and Turbocharger boost sensor. Did an oil system clean and changed my oil and oil filter. Also did a turbo cleaning and I was using a fuel additive in my tank to clean my injectors and turbo. The codes kept coming back so I took the truck to a Mechanic. They found that the bank's system was causing the codes. Anyway they completely unhooked the bank's system and the truck runs perfectly fine and no codes are showing up. It worked great and I would like to keep using it but I am forced to look at other options. Some person on their Facebook page told me that they want all my shipping info to create a shipping tag. Tech support wants to test the unit. Been down that road before, sounds like a run around to me. read more

Beware of Banks. They will take your money then not ship your goods. I waited for three weeks to get a torque tube system. No one told me that they did not even have any. When I called, they said it would be a month because their machine broke down which I thought was weird. Then after a month I called back they made me leave a phone number and said they would call me back. They did call back the next day and said we are cancelling your order. They said that it would be another 3 months to get the product, so they were just going to refund my money. Then I called and another person said it would be six months. These are typical responses that employees have to tell customers when they are going out of business. This is typical of the younger generation driving a business in the ground that has been around for years. Getting a paycheck for doing nothing and not realizing where their paycheck even comes from. Another sad day in America for sure buyer beware. All they have to do is tell a customer they don't have the product they are advertising and not steal your money for a month. After discussing my Duramax speed brake with a technician, I was advised to mail it in for an evaluation. I did this along with the cables associated with the unit. The unit was accepted on about December 5 2022. After numerous calls I was told that the unit was lost at Gale Banks Engineering. The date now is March 6, 2023 and after calling 3 times there is still no work as to unit. I think this is a shoddy way to run a business. As an aside while I had this on my 2007 Duramax classic, I would get a rangeshift interrupted notice and the truck would go into neutral while towing my trailer so I think there was a defect from day one . read more

I recently(2 weeks ago) bought a high ram manifold and intercooler kit for my F250. The order got to my house in two days after purchasing the kit. I was really impressed about how fast it got to my house because it was roughly 80 pounds. After installing everything, I noticed the high ram manifold was for the wrong year. This is not Banks fault, my truck is 2004.5, if found this out from this and I'm not mad at all. What I am extremely upset about is that my truck has been down for the wrong part for two weeks. The reason I get from banks is that they are switching over software or they are waiting on the warehouse. The promised me it was going to be shipped out on Monday, I called Tuesday and they told me the item will be shipped out on Wednesday. Now they are saying Friday. I had to explain to them that I am in the same industry and if the item is on back order to just let me know. Right after I said that, they are telling me that the item is on back order, me and another gentleman are waiting for the same part. Plus, I'm still waiting for a phone call back that they promised me. WHY can't they just tell people straight up?!?! It's harder to dig yourself out of the lie! Not sure if I'd say I really hope Mr. Banks is aware of the poor customer service that is representing his name and brand as I love his YouTube videos showing all the hard work and research he puts into the products he sales. But makes me wonder if he is aware of what's going on behind the scenes of his business. I ordered a cold air intake for my 2020 RAM 2500 on 1/11/2022 directly thru Banks Power website. No where on their website did they mention anything about the intake being on backorder. I placed my order and waited over a week for my intake. Every time I checked on the status, it still said "processing". They took my payment so I wasn't sure what the hold up was, so I decided to give them a call. I spoke to a gentlemen named "Dennis". He mentioned that they were short of the material to make the housing for the intake. He said they should be receiving the material that week and that my order was #1 on the list and should be shipping out close to the end of the week. Week two goes by and no status change, so I decide to call towards the end of the week to get a status update. This time spoke to some lady who mentioned that they were just waiting for the material to make the housing for the intake. I was told my intake should ship out early next week. Week three goes by and yet, no status change, so again, I decide to call towards the end of the week and see what's going on with my order. I get Dennis who tells me that again, they're short on the material to make the housing and that they just received some so my intake should be shipping out early the follow week. I mentioned that's what I keep getting told is that the material is supposed to be coming in and that every week for the past three weeks my intake "should be shipping out the following week". Week four goes by and again, no status change on my intake. I called in the middle of the week and spoke to the same lady from week two. She mentioned to me that they were still short on material and that only a little bit of material was received and that they processed orders ahead on mine. I asked what do you mean orders ahead of mine? Dennis told me my order was #1 on the list. She tells me my order is #3 on the current list and that once the material arrives, they'll process it. I said you guys have been telling me this for the past four weeks now! She obvious didn't care and said well, we'll ship your order once more material arrives next week. I said you know what? Just cancel my order in which she was happy to assist. I ordered a Pedal Monster a while back and was impressed with their product and was more than happy to chose Banks for my aftermarket needs for my truck. However, I'm extremely disappointed after getting the run arounds with poor customer service, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. This place is a joke considering claiming "They are the best!". I would've been more understanding if on their website they at least noted the intakes were backordered in the first place. But then to lie to your customers weekly about the status of their order is completely unnecessary. What else do you guys lie about to your customers? Quality of products? I purchased a Banks Bullet for my 2016 Dodge Ram Ecodiesel. The Banks Bullet arrived on 03/17/17 and I immediately installed the unit. I installed the Banks Bullet exactly as directed by the Banks installation manual. Prior to the Banks Bullet installation, my truck ran smooth and there were no problems whatsoever. On 03/18/17, I started and test drove my truck. The engine stumbled at stop lights and ran rough. There was a very obvious engine miss. I later had my son drive the truck to get his opinion on the truck's performance. My son noticed the same roughness as I had felt. We drove on the freeway for a short distance and started the return drive to our house via surface streets due to the apparent stumbling of the engine. Approximately 1 1/2 miles from our house, the throttle stopped working, and several "check engine lights" lit up the dashboard, "Service Electronic Throttle Control, Low Oil Pressure".The truck engine died as we pulled to the side of the road. The Truck would not start and I called AAA for a tow. The following day, I removed the Banks Bullet components and the problem seems to have disappeared. I phoned Banks Technical Services today, 03/20/17. I was placed on hold " 2 separate times in excess of 25 minutes each time". This wait was due to "high call volume"!! I wonder why!! They sell faulty products! Needless to say Banks Engineering Technical Support is non-existent. I would never buy another Bank's product and I don't recommend you do either.... read more
