If you care about your health or your family's health, do not go to Banner. I have been trying to get my refill for a chronic health condition for over a week. I have been on the medicine for 12 years. Dr Willis was too busy to be bothered with my refill about a year ago, and I got extremely ill. She made me go 5 days without it last time. I am out again, and I have no idea how many days it will take this time. I am switching out of Banner even if my insurance won't cover the new Dr. It's that bad. I have made 8 requests for the refill so far only to be ignored. read more

I read the reviews on this place and just shake my head. It's sad really, that things have been allowed to be this bad for this long. We got feed up with the lack of response and the unfilled prescriptions a couple of years ago and switched to Abrazo on Watson. A few miles further, but no big deal, given the excellent service we receive. Check out my review on their page, and give them a try. I can't believe that Banner is still in business. This is a very convenient Dr office close to home . But this time it's all about Labs or lack there of . Lol Would you want your blood drawn by people who look asleep ? The lady was kicked back at the window head back feet up. And the guy was resting his head on the counter and well you guessed it resting , must of been a hell of a day . Showed up three times and no labs . Oh well always tomorrow. Well tomorrow is here after showing again and getting no where I finally called banner health only to find out they do not take orders from outside doctors and after 5 time and I did explain to them it was a outside doctor never once communicated to me that they couldn't do it . Wasted a ton of time and now it back to starting over . Over all clean , convenient, friendly sleep deprived employees. read more

The only good thing is the convenient location. It is impossible to get an appt when you're sick, appts need to be made weeks or months in advance. I've been going there for over 2 years, but can never see a doctor when I'm actually sick, so I always end up going to urgent care. Dr. Willis does not have good bedside manner. She seems annoyed and rushed all the time, and condescending. A couple months ago I had a respiratory infection (which I get every year) and I know my body - I need antibiotics or it will linger for weeks. She refused to prescribe me antibiotics saying I haven't been sick long enough (5 days). Said to come back if I get worse. Sure enough within the next day or 2 I got worse, called to make an appt but no availability for another 2 weeks. So I call to see if Dr. Willis can call in the prescription to the pharmacy. The call center left a msg for the doctor, then called me back to inform me that Dr. Willis does not prescribe meds over the phone, she would need to see the patient in person. I was just there 2 days ago, and no appts available for weeks! I went to urgent care, they gave me antibiotics and I started to feel better w/in 24 hours. I am sick again w/ a respiratory infection, tried to make an appt, but NONE of the doctors are available for another 1-2 months?! read more

As a regular person who has been coming to this location since it has opened service, hold times, scheduling and overall friendliness has gone downhill. Every time I have to deal with the corporate office I'm informed things are in transition or they are getting a new doctor soon to help lighten the load. I've even had to deal with finding out my doctor doesn't work here anymore the hard way but when I call in I was getting told a letter was going to get sent out. I had to call corporate and they were going to send me a copy of the letter and never got it. I had no doctor for almost two months. Scheduling to see a doctor is a nightmare. It's just as bad as someone trying to get into the VA for help. I really used to love this place but it needs help. Needed to see my doctor last month (December) and couldn't see anyone when I called in. I even tried same day appointments and I wasn't able to get in. I feel more like a number vs a person they care about anymore. Just to get in I have to call up the chain to schedule something. Next opening for my doctor is February. I hate complaining or talking bad about any place but Banner needs to review the load at this location and add doctors and give the staff some training of care and respect. (I would use the PA but he is NOT friendly and needs some training for his people skills) read more

Follow Up 1/13/2020 I had an appointment to get my stitches taken out today. The receptionist was so rude by blowing me off I told her to cancel my appointment and walked out. IMHO, Banner Verrado has to be the worst facility in the West Valley. Friday night Dec 27th I gashed my left leg open and went to the Abrazo Buckeye Emergency Room. I ended up needing 16 stitches. Upon my discharge I was told to follow up with my primary care provider (Dr Virgil) in 2-3 days to have an ER Follow up to make sure everything looked ok. I called Dr Virgil's office at 7:00 a.m. Monday Dec 30th to schedule the ER follow up. At first, I was told I wouldn't be able to see Dr Virgil until March. I explained to the scheduling nurse what had happened and what I was needing. I then read what the ER discharge papers said so she put me on hold to ask Dr Virgil. She came back and told me Dr Virgil said he would not do the ER follow up as suggested by the ER. He did say he would remove the stitches in 14 days and then scheduled that visit. Dr. Willis is a solid doctor, and the only one I've seen at this facility. That being said, the administrative aspects of the health center are a joke. Wasn't seen within fifteen minutes of my appointment time at either of my appointments. Worse than that, was told specifically by my Dr. that she didn't need to see me on an annual basis, but then on calling in to have a prescription refilled for a run-of-the-mill inhaler was told by the receptionist that she wouldn't bother to ask the Dr. to refill the prescription because I had not been to the office in the last year. After I convinced her to let the Dr. make the decision, she told me that these requests take 48-72 hours to process. After explaining to her that this was a rescue inhaler that I needed in case of emergency, she told me to go to the emergency room. Trust the awful ratings for this joke of an operation. read more

Giving it four stars for now because I haven't had any issues. Staff friendly , lab being there very convenient. Both my hubby and kids and I all go here, and haven't had any issues so far. Better than the Sh#t show we left on Litchfield and McDowell IMS Medical center. So fingers crossed all still goes well. read more

Certain individuals at the front desk have comprehending issues but once re communicating everything multiple ways and we're on the same level everything runs smooth. Dr Ventura is awesome and understands a lot. I really don't feel too comfortable with people but with Dr Ventura I feel he gets me. Thanks doc! read more

Went in first thing in the morning for labs after fasting. Waited over an hour (and I was the first person there), because scheduling had messed up! They frantically tried to find someone qualified to draw blood. Short staffed. Employees trying to train other employees, random COVID procedures up front, and the one woman who actually knew something about the office forgot her badge so it was a comedy show. We have been taking our daughter here for a year now. It has been difficult to schedule visits with our doctor due to Banner Health's scheduling system. It is unnecessary to be waiting for months to see our doctor for an appointment. Next, if banner health has a policy for only one parent at a time in the room make sure all of your employees know it. We have lost money because we plan to take time away from our job to come together only to have one of us thrown out of this office. And the last thing that is the deal breaker is we have had questions in the past to ask the doctor similar to,"should we get a Covid test for our daughter?" These simple questions apparently can not be answered by anyone with out a full visit and co-pay. We are done with this facility for we now have other places that will take better care of our family. read more

I am now a full week out and have not received my test results. I was told I would hear back the next day. If this location wasn't so convenient I would go elsewhere. No one likes to drive when they dont feel well. Be warned it you have and urgent concern this place will take their dear sweet time. read more

He took time to listen to my concerns, offer his professional advice and work together to come up with a plan that worked best for me. I encourage anyone looking for a Dr. to see Dr. Virgil. Great medical office with great staff! As a fist time mom, of twins, I have a lot of questions for a lot of concerns. Dr. Mark Pyle and his staff have been helpful every time. They answer questions, take the time to work with you and make themselves available. When I call with a concern, I've been able to talk to the doctor every time. I am so impressed with their level of care and customer service. My husband and I will be switching to see the family practice doctor there, and leaving IMS. read more

I went here for my wellness exam in June and received a bill for the lab and wellness exam but my insurance covers it 100%, the front office lady told me I had to speak with the Doctor who saw me about the bill. What's the doctor going to do, call my insurance for me? Also, I showed up for my 3:30 appointment after I received reminder calls from a robot and a live person stating it was at 3:30. I show up at 3:15 and am told my appointment was at 3 and that the provider told the front to reschedule me upon check-in. I showed the lady the text messages and voicemails saying it was at 3:30 and Monica the front desk girl refused to accommodate my appointment . Beyond done with this place... Called to speak with an office manager and was told I could not speak with an office manager or leave message that the call center has to send an escalation message to the office manager in order for her to return my call. read more

This place started out fine. Check in wait reasonable. Attention to urgent care abysmal! 3 month wait to get in and told go to urgent care......my husband did this and was told to get to the hospital because the infection was beyond the scope of normal antibiotics. Went back to dr. Carlos ventura who said he did not believe the results. Two weeks later after not receiving a return call we found our own urologist. It took him 5 minutes to order the special injectable antibiotics. He has bee infection free since. If you have special needs or specific disease run dont walk away from there! read more

Went in for what seems like an ear infection - painful ears, vertigo - and was told they couldn't see me for that because of their Covid restrictions. Since when is ear pain and vertigo a symptom of Covid? Beyond that, the office seems to have no concept of customer service... like they're doing you a favor by seeing you. Hate this place, will never go again to any Banner facility or provider. read more

Lately the office has been terrible to work with. On hold forever, or waiting in the waiting room for an hour past the scheduled appointment time. Scheduling is difficult as there is a multi-week wait until the next open appointment. Even the Patient Relations department at Banner Corporate is ineffective at returning a phone call. I will be taking my insurance claim payments to another practice who cares for their established patients. read more

Horrible. The facility is very nice, but everything else about this place is a disaster. Tried to call and make an appointment. On hold for 10 minutes. Finally get an appointment, show up the 15 minutes before and then I don't see the doctor until 35 minutes after my appointment time. The place is so inefficient. Absolute joke of a clinic don't even attempt to see a doctor at this facility. You can't get a doctor unless you book 4 weeks out. I think the doctors have more days vacation days then working days in a calendar year. The front office staff is very rude over the phone when you're attempting to get A sick child or spouse into their facility. Use your insurance at a provider office that actually cares about you as a patient. read more

Well i really like the dr pyle and so do my kids but not office rules! Basically i just got threatened to be banned from banner health for calling in 11 min late for the 2 hour cancellation policy and if i do it again in 6 months my 3 children will be discharged from the clinics in buckeye and goodyear! What! Really! I am new to banner health and ive never cancelled an appt before. And i totally feel threatened and scolded. read more

Very poor service! You can request an appointment online, but you can't cancel an appointment online. No one answers the phone and there is no way to get a hold of anyone by phone. For instance I have tried for two days to call and cancel my appointment. On Monday I received recordings to hold for 22 minutes, 17 minutes, and 13 minutes or I could request a call back time. Of course the call back times were already taken. Tuesday morning I called and received a recording that a hold time was 18 minutes. On this call I actually stayed in hold mode until I hit the 31 minute mark, then I hung up. I made the calls on line one (appointments) and line 4 (all other issues). I can't believe anyone stays in business with this type of service. I realize this is a large corporation, but this is unreal. This isn't a one time issue. This has been like this since I began coming here in March 2017. There are other issues concerning this clinic. One last thing, I see on the bottom of some these reviews someone from Banner tells you tho get ahold of them. I actually wrote Banner's patient care department and I received a reply that someone would be calling me. I am still waiting for that call from July! A definite office manager is needed! This place will NEVER get their act together. When I had an issue with my asthma RX being denied and I ended up having an asthma attack I was PROMISED this would NEVER happen again. Well here we are AGAIN! We moved to Bishop CA and mine and my son's asthma pretty much resolved itself. Now we are here trying to fill the RX they refuse to prescribe. They would rather him die from a asthma attack. I will looking for a lawyer on this. DO NOT EVER GO HERE! They are damn liars!! read more

I've never really had a good experience at Verrado Banner Health, but this last visit was HORRIBLE. I had an appointment at 10:15, so I arrived at 10:00. Didn't get called back until 11:15. Around 11:30, I was told that Dr. Willis refused to see me, because she felt uncomfortable with diagnosing me. Without going into personal details, I was hoping to seek advice on a COMMON disorder. I also MADE SURE with the office (when I scheduled a MONTH before) that the doctor would be able to work with me and my specific case. When the nurse informed me that the doctor was "uncomfortable", I asked to speak with her. Instead, an officer manager came in to apologize and send me on my way. I didn't get any substantial reason why I couldn't be seen after 90 minutes, or why they didn't realize this earlier so I didn't have to take off of work. This place has always been poorly run, but I dealt with the long waits out of convenience. I've never experienced anything like this. EDIT: Banner Health responded SUPER quickly to this issue and got me in the next day with a doctor who was able to work with me. Much better experience. Obviously wasted a lot of time on this but it was nice to see them react so quickly and be able to fix the situation. Thanks! read more

Very hard to get an appointment. The scheduler is extremely rude, I have a sick teen who just got out of the hospital and needed a primary ASAP, and when I said I would be a couple minutes late she canceled me-when I tried to explain my situation she didn't want to hear it. I take my little ones to see dr. Pyle and he is okay, but I feel like this place is after your money--you can't see the doctor without being sent out to a specialist. Even though this is my younger kids Doctor--I'm taking my older sick son elsewhere. read more

We have been taking our 3 year old son to Dr. Pyle since he was born, and have been satisfied with the service. They are very busy, so sometimes they can't schedule his checkups until a few weeks past when he hits the age for the checkup. When our second son was born we decided we would try out a different pediatrician and see if we liked them any better, but we had a horrible experience. We went back to Dr. Pyle for checkups for both children and were very pleased. We have decided not to vaccinate anymore, and he was very respectful of our decision. He was very thorough with both children, and patient with my oldest who screamed and fought during his examination. If you can have patience with their scheduling this is a great place to go. read more

All the Doctors at this practice are amazing. Dr. Bonati is a great family doc and my kids see Dr Pyle when he is not available. They both take the time to listen and care for each of us. We have been nothing but happy with the staff and doctors here. The doctors listen to concerns and don't reach for the prescription pad unless it is needed. All i have to say is good doctor but they screw up paperwork and bad communication. Gave one star because of the doctor. They cost me almost $2000 because they couldn't handle paperwork correctly. Oh I forgot to mention. During the time of this review i was on medication that I couldn't suddenly stop taking. The earliest they said I could get appointment to renew script was almost 4 weeks away. I only had 1.5 weeks of medication left. I had to slowly get off of it over the 1.5 weeks. All i have to say is thanks for nothing. I will be relocating my whole family of five to a different location. read more

My Dr. is friendly enough, and I'm sure she's quite busy, but she always rushes through our appointments. Which is especially annoying since it typically takes me 3+ weeks just to get an appointment with her, and then I, in all honesty, have been waiting in the waiting room for my appointment for over an hour and on multiple occasions! So I typically wait around, 30, 40, or 60+ minutes to see my doctor (I have yet to get called back at the actual time of my appointment) and she she rushes through my concern! I also go to the doctor occasionally just to get an injection from the nurse staff. At other clinics I've gone to I am in and out in 5 minutes. Yet here I'm usually waiting a good 30 minutes just to go in the back, receive a 5 second shot, and be on my way. Im seriously considering looking for a new doctor who is actually considerate of their patients and actually listens to their complaints rather than shrug them off and rush out the door. Also, maybe, I don't know, an office that understands time management and it just generally better managed? One time I was waiting in the lobby forever and the nurse admitted she forgot about me! Definitely contemplating a switch. read more

Very disappointed in this clinic. We have been patients for years, but our doctor is leaving this practice. I have one son who is too old for the pediatrician, but too young for the other doctor. We can't see the one doctor that will see his age because she is a joke. The higher ups keep saying they are working on it, but nothing is happening. read more

if I could give negative stars I would. and I do hope everyone on this site does read this. first off I would like to say I have a very demanding job. I did in fact set up two appointments. one of which I tried to cancel but no one answered the damn phone. so I went along with going to the one that I know I could. THIS MORNING I get a letter in the mail stating that they will ban me from coming to their facility and getting serviced for my medical issues if I miss another appointment. first off, if I have the damn insurance I'm getting seen so sit down and shut up with that noise. secondly, I didn't raise hell or act a fool in your facility to get banned from it. I missed an appointment that you guys decided to not answer your phone on. AND THIRDLY, it is illegal to deny medical attention to someone who has insurance. you guy stated in the letter that I messed up everyone else's time slot because I missed mine, but how, when I was scheduled at 7am and you guys open at 7am. You guys are the worse facility ever. I hope that whoever reads this review knows that you can sue them for denying you medical attention all because you missed an appointment in the past if you do in fact have insurance. so don't let them fool you. but now I know why you guys have really bad reviews. you guys are putting verrado's name to shame and verrado is a very beautiful respectful place. read more
