I really hate to have to review this... I established my kitty as a new patient, loved the office the staff and the vet. I took her thyroid meds with me, they did a blood panel for her thyroid, the doctor called a day later and said her thyroid came back ok. A month later, I call to get a refill for the meds. I wait on hold for 15 min (ok, it's Saturday, they are busy)... they finally answer, pull up my chart and tell me that. "We can't refill a medicine that we didn't prescribe". I said WHAT???? Why did I come in, bring the meds, have a blood panel done and establish her as a patient??? "Did we do a Thyroid panel".... I DON'T KNOW, YOU HAVE THE RECORDS IN FRONT OF YOU??? YOU TELL ME! Then the receptionist says "oh, is it the XXXXX?" Yes, it is... ok, I'll put in an order to have that refilled. Me: How much will it be? Receptionist: I have no idea I'm so frustrated, this vet came highly recommended from a friend. I THOUGHT i was moving to a well run office... turns out, not so much. My question: is it that hard to hire and TRAIN people to answer the phone, pull up a record and READ??? Do they realize they are supposed to READ what they pull up? OMG... if you're paying someone $$ then make sure they are TRAINED and if they don't do their job, fire them. It's not that complicated! I will pick up the meds and see how it goes but for now... Had appointment to get shots, rabies, Parvo, etc. First could not understand the vet. He spoke so fast, and I hate to say, with a thick Indian accent. Seems to me he was used to people saying what, that I just completely stayed silent, not to offent him. But on the up sell. Making a list of everything that he thought my dog needed. When assistant came back with the $200 plus list of things he tried to get me to do, I told here it wasn't needed, and just wanted basic shots. Assistant seemed to understand. Which were already 200. They are extremely overpriced, and they won't give any quotes over the phone. They want to charge you $82 to come in just so they can give you a quote on something. With so many other veterinarians around I would recommend going somewhere else. I have went to this one and also to Beaumont Animal Hospital. The front desk personal all but the one with glasses she's the only one that was actually doing her job, sat in a gossip circle talking shit. The ring leader of them (because she had fake nails so long she couldn't do anything but change volume on tv) was even bad mouthing the vet because they gave us a pick up time, who does that? I hope for the sake of the business they change their policy to require a compassionate, professional, and respectful front desk staff. They are the sole reason why I won't be coming back! Great doctors. PLEASE READ!!!! Save yourself the trouble. My experience: SO UNFAIR! While waiting outside - explanation below - I walked my puppy outside. They phoned me 10 min AFTER my appointment time. I went directly in. When I came in, 15 seconds after the call, I was told I MISSED my appointment and would have to reschedule!!!! The reason I "missed" my appointment "was irrelevant" IT WAS TOO LATE and that - it is their policy! The office personnel was so incredibly rude. They said it didn't matter the circumstances, it's their policy that if you're late, you missed your appointment. I. Was. Not. Late. I read their entire policy and terms, there is NO such policy. It is not posted on any sign or in their facility. ANYWHERE. Please READ! I was early for appointment. I was signed in. I have a new puppy. I totally misjudged this place. I wish I had come here years ago! The inside of the clinic is so clean and spacious. It's nothing like the vibe the outside gives off. The staff is very nice and SO professional. From check in, to check out, my experience with every staff member has been amazing. I happened to come here as a last resort when my lil guy had an emergency and they were the only place open. It was such a great experience that we became regulars, haha! We take all our pets and go here for everything we need now. Their service fees on emergency services are fair too so that's a bonus. read more

Recently moved to the area, and this was our nearest vet. A fairly large facility, clean and tidy. Wait times have been reasonable the past visits, and receptionists addressed me quickly whenever I've walked in. The lobby is fairly spacious, and I do like that they have 2 doors so that my anxious pup can dodge any other pups coming and going. Dr. Murphy has been kind and helpful in addressing all of my concerns on recent visits. She explains things clearly and quickly, and handles my high-strung boy with compassion and sweetness. Same can be said of the vet techs I've worked with so far. I'm hopeful we'll continue having good experiences here because they are so conveniently close. read more

I called for a walk in and told them I could be there for an hour.and they said no problem. as soon as I got their sorry first come first serve. we don't have any more walking ins. My experience was not bad they took me in right away the Dr was great explained everything and gave recommendations which was a full panel for amount of $275 I was told have results by Saturday latest well here it is Monday almost 4pm with not a call yet.... I called this morning 11:23 am I was told she call with results after seeing some patients this is upsetting that it's take this long. This is upsetting having me pay so much money and yet taking this long for results. I've been treating my pet holistically or else she be in bad shape had I not. I took her in for kidney disease. I should of known by now results something. I been here a few years ago and I got results quickly and this is so disappointing that the care is not the same but finding out its a big corporatration that owns them now. We took our dog Nina to get a dental quote. When calling to schedule it July 17 we were told the quote wasn't valid anymore although the paperwork says it expires 7/24/25 which was not for another week. We were told it's only valid for 30 days, however that should have been written down. We thought we had time since the document we received said so. We received a new quote over the phone because "prices went up". The new quote skyrocketed to 1800-2200 which is why it was important for them to have documented the quote was only valid for 30 days so we could have scheduled within that timeframe. I called banning animal Hospital. I explained what was going on with my new rescue and they said my best bet was to come in after hours. Because this vet was booked 2 months out. They said their walk in clinic started at 5pm -11pm. I drove an hour and arrived at 5:15. We were turned away because they were at capacity and short staff. The receptionist was extremely unprofessional. She said they take welkins from 5:00 to 5:05 and then they are full. She could have told me this on the phone! If she had it would have Saved two hours of driving with a stressed out pup. read more

They used to be great but since they got bought out, like a cliche they're god awful. Good luck if you can get a person on the phone. Don't expect a response to emails. They'll no longer work directly with Chewy for prescriptions. They make you drive in to pick up a physical copy of a prescription or make you buy directly from them at jacked up prices. I watched an employee tell a man today that he was lying about his phone wait time because calls automatically disconnect at 30 minutes. Mind blowing. I feel bad for the handful of staff members that acknowledge how bad it's gotten and constantly look on the verge of tears. Our cat had a dental cleaning last week, as well as vaccines and microchipping. The staff was very kind and nice. The procedures she was having were well explained. She was being sedated so there was nervousness on my part, but they took great care of her. She is a rescue kitty and was pretty scared. This was actually the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I walked in with the dog that I found who was in some type of respiratory distress. I was super overwhelmed an very emotional because I did not want this dog to die. It was a frenchie. I was greeted with the response "there's nothing that we can do for you here "which is fine I understand that that wasn't the place her deliverance was terrible. I placed a door on the ground because even though he is a Frenchie, he was very heavy and smelled really bad as I was trying to get information. She just seemed extremely bothered that I was there. Luckily the other front desk receptionist I believe her name was Monique was definitely the most positive thing in there. The rude receptionist asked me to pick up the dog because she didn't want him giving the other dogs some which again understood I asked if they had a towel or chuck to hold and she very bothered hence the "eye roll"and Monique got up and got me one. the rude one (I believe her name was Christina) told me I needed to call animal control, I told her I need to grab my phone (which my car was less than 10 feet away I was parked in front of the door) and I would be right back the dog was still on the floor she looked at Monique and told her " she's going to leave, she's going to leave" I turned around and told her I'm not leaving the dog, again she tells her she's going to leave I wasn't sure what part she wasn't understanding that I wasn't leaving she was not comprehending. I grabbed my phone called around Monique was kind enough to bring the dog to me. She was such an angel that day. One of the patients there witness the way we were treated and met me at my car and gave me Redlands's emergency hospital as a recommendation and felt bad for the way I was treated. Christina ( if that's her name) is very burnt out and has lost her compassion which means you shouldn't be dealing with the public especially when people are vulnerable she was rude,calloused, and cruel . I supervise in the medical field and this would have been unacceptable. After speaking with others about the situation I'm not the only one unfortunately. THEY WERE TERRIBLE, DON'T MAKE YOUR PET SUFFER!! I made an appointment to have my cat seen. Due to a Semi-Truck on fire, I was 6 minutes late. I guess a 6-minute tardy merits a 6-hour wait. I waited in the parking lot from 9:26 AM until after 2:30 PM for them to tell me they wanted to run tests...where was my cat for all of this time? Then they actually came to my car and demanded payment prior to running tests. Do they actually? I would not pay??? After paying, I asked to speak with the office manager. I was informed she was "too busy to talk with anyone." I was told she would be calling me. It has been almost one month, and there has still been no telephone call. I have taken my two cats here before, and they were GREAT!!!! Now, I would not take a sick, rabid coyote there for fear of how they would be treating the poor animal. My first and second experience here was great, but my most recent interactions have left a sour taste in my mouth. They have cancelled my appointments twice, first time was less annoying it was in advance. This time she said she called 10 minutes to me arriving there which was 5 minutes past my time because I was taking in 4 animals. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Drop my dog off at 7.30am for surgery. I was told this place closes at 5pm. No communication at all or updates when my dog would be done. I tried calling was on hold for a half an hour, was hung up on tried to call back on hold for fifteen minutes hung up on again. I live in Palm Springs decided to drive there. I arrived at 4.30 the receptionist told me that my dog has not had his surgery yet, he wouldn't be done until 7pm at night. I couldn't believe it. I came back to pick my dog up and left they called me and said they left some medication out of the bag I had to drive back and pick it up. Unbelievable the add on's too. I only asked for a Rx refill of generic Rimadyl, (carprofen) through the only online pharmacy (Covetrus) this clinic "works with". Chewy is not a supported online pharmacy. I began refill request on July 17 as I had done before. The pharmacy tech failed to respond (per Covetrus) by email on the 24th. Covetrus then sent another request out by email. I called BVH, the receptionist apologized as she saw the tech had failed to respond to the email Covetrus had sent. No response from Banning Veterinary "Hospital" again. Covetrus asked me to contact BVH to request the pharmacy tech to contact them as "there was an issue with the Rx". I did, BVH pharmacy tech finally responded to Covetrus by 08/07/25. I'm now getting Rx delivered by 08/16 per UPS! The reason I went online was for the $53 fee, as BVH charged me $80 for in-office pickup prior in May. This medication is similar to ibuprofen for human consumption, so I know the pharmacy pays a wholesaler $4 (or less) for 60 tabs. If it takes your vet clinic over a month to deliver a generic medication, that's poor quality service. I was on hold with this clinic for a combined total of 65 minutes over the course of 2 weeks. This clinic was bought out several years ago, by a corporate entity, and has gone downhill ever since. My boxer (Rosey) is nearly 12, with bilateral hip dysplasia and I am going to consider in-home euthanasia from a different veterinarian, as they don't provide this service. read more

I would like to start by duplicating alot that Heather P. stated in her review right before this one. We, too, were squeezed in without an appointment & our dig was in severe pain and no idea what was wring with her. Dr Greenhouse is extremely thorough, knowledgeable and she follows up with us personally (the next day, etc) to ensure our pet is still doing ok. This is both refreshing and greatly appreciated as it shows a level of caring we aren't used to. We were also relieved to find out their pricing was very reasonable & not extravagant like many other pet hospitals. We had recently moved from Murrieta (where we had same vet for many years) to Beaumont and needed a new vet & had no clue where to go or which place is best, etc. We initially visited a great place in Yucaipa (Oak Glen Animal Hospital - Dr Christianson), but its a bit far from Beaumont & we wanted something closer, especially during emergency situations (which is what we had recently). We are grateful we found Banning Veterinary Hospital, and an added bonus is that our veterinarian we saw in Yucaipa, also works out if this location on occasion, so we are blessed with two wonderful doctors, and we know our precious pet Avy is in great hands and will be well taken care of. We highly recommend this veterinarian and this business. One final note - every single person we came into contact with at this business is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Been coming here since I moved here in 2019. At first they were the best, they were timely when they needed to follow up and cared for my pets. Then the last two years it's been phone tag for the stupidest things. Both my pets were diagnosed with pannus. Doctor himself said they would both be on two meds for the rest of their lives since the dogs are both from the same father(different mom). The medication was not put in originally, so I called them. The wait time just for calling them has gotten out of hand. I was 10th in line on several occasions, and I finally got hold of someone who said I could pick it up. It went to Rite Aid, cool, but only one was provided, and only for one dog. I was later told I needed to bring one of the dogs in to get them their prescription. I was skeptical, but I took in my girl, and they said I would get both of the same medications for her since she needs them. Again, they only gave me a written prescription for one. Since then, the doctor left, and they couldn't just update the system to show that they both needed that medication, so they had me bring them again. Mind you, each visit IS NOT FREE. So I finally had one written prescription for Neo-poly, and one was provided by the pharmacy they had. Then they stopped providing tacrolimus, I had to come back to the office for a written prescription once more, since they were no longer refilling it. Fine, I was told to go through Chewy. I listed them as the vet, and it got filled out awesome. Then Rite Aid shut down, and none of my meds were transferred, much less my pets. I called them 2 weeks ago today, told them I needed a written prescription because, since April this year, Banning Vet no longer authorizes meds with Chewy. I was told to wait for a call, 2-3 business days to get it written. After 2 weeks, because I had a planned trip and was ill afterwards, I showed up today after spending a total of 1.3 hours on hold to get hold of someone to just end up getting hung up on. I told them that they had hung up on me, and all I needed was my pet's prescription so I could mail it to Chewy. The lady at the desk was not listening the entire time; she just wanted to bounce around from client to client instead of finishing with one. I mentioned a second time that I had to come in after they had me waiting in line at place one for over 46 minutes, and she brushed me off. She ran all over trying to find out what medication I was talking about. Wrote it down and kept running to the back. Finally, she tells me I need to bring them back because she does not see this medication in her system. I told her again, I was told it would be ready in 2-3 days, but not once was I told that I needed to do another visit to get a written prescription for something they told me my pets would have to take for the rest of their lives. Then she goes on a tangent about how they need to make sure that the pets are okay and that both medications are being used properly. I was like, so YOU DO see I have the Neo Poly prescribed to me in the system. She was like Yes, but that was in December 2023, and we HAVE to have them come in if we are to do any prescriptions for them. So she not only wasted my time and LIED to my face, but now I am hearing why they insist on having me come in over and over; it is that they want more MONEY. They DO NOT CARE one bit that my dog has been completely out of her meds for 3 weeks. I have to spend my time and money elsewhere because now I do not trust this place for a second. I was about to ask for the office manager, but this issue is so deeply rooted that it isn't worth having another fight with them. I am looking into another vet, where they work with Chewy, they answer their phones, and they have a website/App THAT F^& WORKS, Jesus, for all the money they bled me for they could have just fixed their broken site and hired staff to man the office properly because this is insane. read more

I tried to make an appointment for my dog's dental and was told due to policy change I needed to bring them in for exam first to grade teeth. My dogs go every year, and before these dogs my other dogs. Ridiculous to drive to Banning for an exam that they do when you are there, after you have already put down deposit due to multiple dogs. Just when you think you have found a vet thats not so greedy and can still make a nice profit, then you get an extra cost for exam prior to appointment. So many people giving up their beloved pets because they cannot afford to keep them. read more
