I was visiting out of town, so I think in your industry with being so near all those hotels that you should do extra training and just remind your employees that sometimes it's a one shot try. Being in customer service we have to always be on the top of our game. I think sometimes this younger generation isn't use to that. It's just a job. Like your cashier that took my order--she was nice at first, but she was trying to get your attention and just get out of there and she charged me wrong and never saw to it that I got my order. Incredible Gluten Free food. My son and I have Celiac Disease and it's not easy to find good food that is also safe to eat while on vacation. Food - 3/5 stars. We arrived for breakfast on a Sunday and had the 3 egg burrito and the Chicken/ cheddar waffle. The waffle was delicious however the chicken seemed to lack and spice or flavor. The burrito arrived without the ordered bacon inside resulting in a 10 min wait for it to be fixed. It was a normal burrito that you would make at home with no extra flare spice to make it worth the return. Lattes were on par with other places. Service 1/5 stars. We arrived at 9am on a Sunday before the crowds arrived with only three other tables occupied at the time. Our waitress was quick to greet us and take our drink orders which arrived promptly but that was where the quickness ended. We had to flag down the waitress to order our entrees and she seemed very flustered due to an increasing crowd at the door. Our food arrived incorrect after noticing no bacon in the burrito. She never checked in to see if the food was as ordered or to refill drinks. We flagged down who I believe was the manager on duty to have the food corrected and to get water refills. Once the correct burrito arrived the manager did not seem to be overly concerned or apologetic about the mistake. Several other tables near us had the same service issues with one stating they were leaving due to the poor service. She apologized several times later to all the tables however the increasing crowd at the door, uncleared tables, and the slow service seemed to continue the flustered state of the staff. You would expect this with a new establishment however it's been open for a few months so these issues should be ironed out by now. Luckily we purchased a groupon for this restaurant and didn't waste to much on the food. Dinner may be a better option here as breakfast was less than memorable and we will stick with other local establishments for brunch. read more

My sister and I stopped in to grab a quick bite. We needed an early lunch, and I found Bantam & Biddy online. The food pictures looked good. I didn't realize I had picked a restaurant focused on gluten free foods, but since I can't have gluten, it was fantastic to be able to order almost anything from the menu! I had the daily special - a grilled pimiento cheese - and it was warm and gooey and perfect. The fried okra (gluten free) was soooo good - it was crunchy and delicious. My sister had no idea there was gluten-free fried chicken on her giant cheddar biscuit (not gf). Nothing was greasy, and everything was hot and satisfying. The general manager happened to speak with us about our experience, and we both told him how pleased we were. He was so gracious! I will absolutely go back the next time I visit Chattanooga. read more

$16 for a meatloaf plate at lunchtime? That's just plain silly, especially when the meatloaf portion appears to have been made in a mini-loaf pan and sliced at about one inch thick. In fact, $16 for a lunch plate is ridiculous anywhere, but especially when the portions are average. That's more than the excellent sautéed trout at Public House and you get good-sized portions there! Warning - the Brussels Sprouts have zero seasoning. Zero. I don't think this is a sustainable model when there are so many other lunch options in town. That could explain a relatively small lunch crowd. read more

Eating out is always stressful with my daughter who has several allergies, so it just doesn't happen much. B+B was very allergy conscious and it was one of the few times my daughter could eat almost everything on the menu. Torrey helped us and was especially friendly and helpful! Clearly more of a breakfast and lunch place, catering to the downtown office crowd. My wife and I went there for dinner and we were the only people there for a while. My wife chose this place because she eats gluten free and this place has a lot of options. She was especially interested in the fried chicken, which she got. The portion was huge with five large tenders, plus two sides. She got the fried okra and fried sprouts. I got the meatloaf, with cheesy mashed potatoes and fried okra. I consider meatloaf one of those dishes that this type of a place needs to get right in order to be considered a good restaurant. Just like how an Italian place needs to do chicken parm right. B&Bs meatloaf was pretty good, but not amazing. Kind of your standard meatloaf. The sides were pretty good, though. The okra had a light batter coating on it so you could still taste the okra, and it was kept whole (minus the stem), which helped reduce the slimy texture you often get with sliced okra. The potatoes were tasty as was the cornbread. Would consider going back for breakfast or lunch. read more

I ate here for breakfast, and it was so good! It's a cute casual little place. I had the fried chicken biscuit and that alone filled me up! The biscuit was so fluffy and perfect! I love the food, but the service is horrid. We waited forever on our food, just to have them deliver our pancakes to a child at another table. They the. Tried to take the away from them and give them to us. I had seen little infers in the bitter and the syrup, so the answer was let him keep them.
