They recommended a needle piercing for me as I had this piercing in the past and they were closed up. Again, this went so smoothly and very comfortably! Another added bonus to Rowan is the jewelry is so cute! They have very affordable options all the way up to entry level luxury. Pricing is a bit on the expensive side once they add up all of the fees, however I feel that the overall value is there. When I came back a few days later, same great, low key, this-is-no-big-deal experience and the process of lasering my tattoo away took so little time, I was floored. Honestly, I don't think I could have had a better experience. Also I have to say the fact that they offer discounts for tattoo removal for people joining the military is so awesome. Whether or not someone is a candidate for a piercing, there is a respectful and professional way to communicate that. The way she spoke to my friend was humiliating and unnecessarily hurtful. My friend already struggles with body image, and hearing those comments from another woman left her feeling embarrassed and ashamed. Watching someone treat another person that way was upsetting. After leaving, we went to another piercing shop, where the piercer evaluated her professionally and completed the piercing without any issues. We were also told that the interaction we experienced at True Art Tattoo was handled in a very unprofessional manner. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend True Art Tattoo. We encountered rudeness, body shaming, and a complete lack of compassion and professionalism. No customer should leave feeling belittled over their body.

I'd be lying if it wasn't the first time I've encountered a person who treated someone who is not as alt presenting differently. BUT my knowledge of jewelry and brands, placements and piercing upkeep is thorough and the reason I bothered driving 45 mins to this studio. Upon making my appointment I picked out Kelly, who JUST so happened to work that weekend. They were AHMAZING, sweet, professional, and made you feel good. And for me, it was good enough to keep coming back. They introduced me to Ezra, the studio manager, for a custom order placement and that interaction continued to make up for the initial not so great check in. I've been back 2 more times since and have had great service each time. I've been introduced to Marissa as well and look forward to having a second piercer to work with on my ears. She used pliers too big (I stated I needed needle nose pliers) and had grease on them. I was in incredible pain from her unprofessionalism. THEN she charged me $10 for less than 10 mins of her time!! I asked if she had change, she stated no but can cashapp me - what professional has cashapp but no change? She complained how it didn't snap, I explained it was custom made high end jewelry that didn't snap, just touched. I also asked if it was the right gauge, and she said "no, it just not clasping" and that sounded weird so I further clarified about the gauge and she didn't say anything about the size. She tried to convince me to buy jewlery from her (bc she needed a clasp and complained abt it), I said no, and she said I can just buy it on Amazon because that's what she does. I recognize the box on her stand and it's a VERY cheap Amazon brand. None of her stuff is professional. Cleaned myself up and went on with my day, came home and showered and my ear is bruised from her and I have a mark on my ear. I changed out the jewelry she "fixed" bc she misshaped my own jewelry. Contacted my jeweler back home, they stated that her manhandling the jewelry with unclean and too big pliers ruined the shape of the jewlery, most piercers don't charge for just tightening pieces, and that this behavior is abnormal and unprofessional. Plus, no AC in 85 degree weather today. So it was well over 90 in the studio. Imagine getting tattooed in an unprofessional and HOT environment. Also, there were people sprawled all over the couches sleeping! Overall, Kelsey: 1) made me bleed from a fully healed pericing 2) charged me $10 just to close the piercing in less than 10 min(incorrectly) 3) broke my $400 jewelry. 4) unprofessional by calling me "babe" 5) works in an unprofessional and frankly unsanitary (from the sweat, heat, and people sleeping on furniture) shop. Would NEVER recommend! On top of that, I called over a month ago because I needed help removing the jewelry for an MRI. I wanted them to just remove and the insert them later in the day (I would pay for convenience like that) and when I called at 3 pm, the person who answered the phone said the pericing wasn't in and she would call back (she wasn't in at 3pm when the shop opens at 1?) and she NEVER called me. So I was SOL for my MRI help. I also filled out the form on the website, but the website was horrible and I wasn't able to submit the actual message. I stated that on the phone to the person, and they went "oh that's weird. I went to check today, it's still not working. Horrible horrible. Now I'm down $410 from less than a 10 min interaction. How this place is even having revenue is beyond me.
