I've looked up the Sunday hours and some online places say they're closed on Sunday. But they do open at 11, which was a great surprise. As I didn't want fast food again. We got there right at 11:30 and it was pretty slow. Fried pickles: I love these, they're iconic! Unlike most where they're just chips, these are spheres. And they're so good. Worth the $8.50 10/10 I've came back multiple times. Though they're heavy on the grease. If you don't eat greasy food much, maybe go easy on them. Sweet potato fries: 12/10, they're thin crispy and sweet. Love these over the normal. Especially with honey mustard. Grilled chicken and spinach panini: 6/10 all the individual components of the sandwich were great. But the chicken was to big for the bread. It was off to eat and get a good bite. We do like this place, is it my favorite? Not always for food. It can feel a little reheated, especially the pasta. I've been really impressed with BBG's recently, especially with how they have handled the pandemic. My latest go-to has been the wings. They are so good! Highly recommend the naked traditional wings. They are always cooked perfectly. The menu has really been improved over the years. In a previous review of mine I mention how large the menu was. This is no more. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of a selection now, however, it's been paired down to more thoughtful and appetizing options vs the overwhelming list from the past. Bar service has been pretty great lately too. Very friendly staff, quick and attentive, good cocktails as well. Definitely impressed with the overall improvements over the years. It's been several years since our family has been to BBGs and decided to try it again as our usual go to was packed. Unfortunately it was not a great experience. It was a busy Friday night and we waited about 15 minutes for a table which was not bad. Once we ordered however the wait for food seemed unreasonably long. When food came out only half of our party was served and more than 10 minutes passed before the rest of our party was served their food. During that time there was no silverware or napkins at the table for those of us who had received food, and no waitstaff around to request these items. By the time the second half of our party was served the others were already completely done with their meal; overall it was an awkward and frustrating experience. read more

Asked about specials, was told it was happy hour for 10 more minutes. We discussed with 2 waitstaff the amount of beer in a pitcher versus separate glasses. Decided to get the pitcher, and a Corona. Appetizers were also half price for happy hour. When we got the bill, we couldn't figure out how the math added up. We were not informed when ordering that pitchers and Imports were not included in happy hour prices! And..... the Corona wasn't even on the bill. The revised bill cost even more than the original! Meh. The first time I came here I was seriously surprised. It was some of the best pizza I had, had in Quite awhile. So I was super stoked to bring my family in for a Birthday celebration. Spin Artichoke Dip was tasty with fried dough wedgies to dip. The bruschetta was very disappointing. The bread was soggy and doughy. Three came on a plate. We ate 1-ish. The menu description is just a suggestion. The Strawberry Salad had extras (cucumber, tomatoes) added which definitely didn't flow with the rest of the ingredients. Rodeo Burger was just good. Black & Bleu Salad was swimming in balsamic glaze. The tenderloin was tasty and tender. The main reason we came (or me) was for the pizza. I ordered the Veggie De-light. The crust was just a shy burnt. The spinach is not fresh, soggy frozen clumps were dropped onto the pizza. Italian spice was sprinkled on a third of the pizza (I would have loved the whole pizza) Although the side of Asiago was really great. The Taco Pizza was amazing! The crust was done perfectly and the flavors were fresh and came with salsa and sour cream. I tried the Basil Gin & Tonic as I asked the Bartender if it was made with fresh basil and she said it was. It was tasty, but some kind of muddled or basil garnish would have giving it color and the appearance of a custom cocktail. Service was okay. We received more attention at the presentation of the bill than we did before we ordered or in the middle of the meal. I'll be back. My family and I visited this restaurant for a nice birthday dinner with our grandparents. The first thing I noticed was the while it was wheelchair accessible, there was no automatic door. We were seated and the waiting staff was nice and receptive. The food came and I ordered the grilled chicken parm with gluten free noodles. The noodles and chicken were good, but the sauce was super watery almost like there was something frozen defrosted while cooking. The chicken was dry, but not unbearable. The chicken Caesar was average, salmon was good, wild rice was cold and had a weird taste, and the Reuben was mediocre as well. Additionally, it was quite pricey for the quality of food. However, the gluten free options were impressive and atmosphere was above average. Those two things along with great service would put my review at a 2.5 stars, but I can't put that so a 3 star it is. read more

We got sat at a table was never asked for drinks or appetizers. Was ignored for 10 mins, place was not busy claimed they couldn't find there other server. Placed our order waited 40 mins people that came after got there food, server forgot to put our order in waited another 20 mins. We were told 20 percent off for there mistake then manager said 10 percent after (he should have been on the floor helping) they were not very apologetic for there mess up. Solid food have tried a variety of dishes pasta,fish,burgers,kids meals,different appetizers We liked everything we've ordered. Good sized portions a little expensive nothing outrageous but a little more then similar places. Service ok a little slow getting some things. Decent experience, it's slightly different since last time I was here such as the new menu and set up of ordering food. More of Culver's style and less of a sit down restaurant style. Although it is a Culver's style the food is still at sit down restaurant timing (not fast). Food was good and hot! The spinach dip pitas were pretty salty but the dip was good, chicken tenders were good but it's hard to mess that up, grilled chicken sandwich was great just wish there was a gluten free option for the bun instead I had lettuce as a wrap. Service was lacking, never was checked on but that could be a user error of not knowing this new system they have. Disappointed about plastic everything (plates, flatware and bowls) it was super wasteful and sad to see. The prices were steep for items on the menu and the menu was heavily reduced. Beautiful summer night on the way home from a bball game. Thought we would stop at BBG's and sit on the patio and have a drink. The hostess sat us on the patio, there were only 3 other tables occupied. After a while the hostess came back and said, "the servers said that if we only wanted drinks, they would prefer we go to the bar" So, basically refused service by the servers. What changed here???? We used to come here all the time but haven't been in about 6 months. Something certainly changed. All the waitresses are new. And they have altered some of the favorites on the menu. I always got the philly chicken sandwich and loved it!! Was enough for 2 meals. Today it was much much smaller with maybe 1/3rd of the fillings as normal. My husbands Walleye dinner was still excellent and my daughter loved the chicken tenders. We also ordered the jalapeño poppers and there was absolutely no jalapeño in it. No spice, no flavor. Something green but may as well have been a green bean. Once again, another restaurant that had a good thing going and now it's slipping. I've been to this restaurant off and on for the past 8 years. Second time in a row that food was sub par. During the quarantine, we've been striving to support our local establishments with take out orders. At this point, I think it would be best if they close up and let the other restaurants get all of the business. We stopped at Banushi's on April 14th for a late lunch before heading over to the Stoughton Opera House. We both had burgers and sodas. The burgers were pretty good. But the trouble began after we left. We left a 20% tip on our credit card. Now we see that the charge cleared for more than we authorized. Our server clearly enhanced her tip by a little extra hoping we would not notice. We would have considered returning to Banushi's. But that will never happen. Management must review the signed credit card slips to the cleared charges to find out how many other customers have experienced this type of theft. read more

Wow they've got an extensive menu here! Everything from pizza, pastas, wraps, burgers, paninis, steaks and more 'dinner' meals. The parking lot was packed on a Monday night. Our group got the buffalo chicken wrap, Monterey chicken sandwich on ciabatta, bam bam chicken panini, and taco pizza. Evening tasted very good, not like your average bar food. Everything was about $9+. I just wish they were more generous with their sides. I got the smashed potatoes, which were essentially mini hashbrowns, and only received 7 of them. They have daily specials and I guess Monday was half priced pizzas. We sat by the kitchen and noticed all the servers bringing our pie after pie after pie. We were made aware of this after commenting to our server to which she replied, "yep half off pizza night". The food is for stars but I'd say the service is a three since they were mostly a younger bunch. Would have appreciated more attentiveness. Overall, I'd stop and eat here again! read more

My friends and I love eating the food they serve here! Everything we have ever tried tastes amazing. We love that not only do they have a lot of options but that each section of the menu (i.e. sandwiches, burgers, wraps, etc..) also has many options to choose from. Recently we took a friend here who is not from Wisconsin and has never liked cheese curds here. He tried the cheese curds that you can substitute as a side for ~$2.50 and he said that he actually really liked them and liked them enough to even eat them without dipping them in any ranch or ketchup. The one thing we have never been impressed with here is the wait staff. They do not seem to be the brightest or have a sense of urgency or idea of what is involved in being a good server/waiter. But even though we have never been pleased with the service we go back often because the food is too good to not eat here. My friend and I have tried and enjoyed their rodeo burger. We went to Banushi's tonight for our second visit and were again pleasantly surprised. We took advantage of the 2 for $25 deal (1 appetizer, 2 entrees with 4 sides) and the serving were huge. We had mozzarella sticks as our appetizer and we got 8 sticks with a side of marinara. My husband got the house salad and home made soup (broccoli cheddar) as his 2 sides and the salad was huge! It could have been a meal in and of itself. The soup he said was good as well. I got the chicken tenders and french fries with cottage cheese and got 4 huge chicken tenders with a good helping of fries. My husband's entree was the ribs and chicken tenders. He got 2 huge chicken tenders and what appeared to be a 1/4 rack of ribs. My daughter got the spaghetti off of the kids menu. We also got a basket of 3 rolls. We left stuffed and have enough for at least another meal if not two. The service is good but my main complaint is that they do not pre-bus their tables. We were trying to get food into 3 big take home containers and the waitress didn't bother to take plates as we were emptying them (and she walked past several times so there was ample opportunity). We are from Oregon, WI and normally go to Headquarters in town but Headquarters has been very disappointing lately but I think we have found our new "spot" with Banushi's! What would have cost us easily $60 with tip cost $46 at Banushi's and we have tons of leftovers. The only thing they could do better would be to pre-bus tables. read more

Our sever was good, but the bartender (Stacy) who had to deliver beer because our server wasn't 18, as perhaps one of the rudest we've encountered. The club sandwich was relatively flavorless, the chicken tenders were over cooked, the kid's cheeseburger was HUGE but not all that great tasting, the only person at our table who actually liked there food ordered a cheese pizza. I really wanna like this place. They have a monster bloody Mary and the best spinach artichoke dip I've ever had. Food can be hit and miss, though. Today my nephew ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger. It was so over done that a 16 year old boy sent it back. I had to do the dirty work to ask the waitress to take it back. (She never had come to ask how our meal was, and it wasnt that busy) she was nice about it, for sure. I asked for it to be done medium. The replacement took so long everyone was done by the time the burger came out. My nephew had helped everyone with their meal, so he wasnt hungry anymore. Good thing, because his second burger was again very well done. Not a hint of pink left, and dry as heck. Sadly, I just paid the bill, and the server never did ask if the replacment burger was better. This places has a lot of promise, but currently I can best describe it by saying 'meh.' The first thing I noticed when we parked was a huge IMMEDIATE SEATING sign illuminated above the door. That was surprising to see on a Friday night, but I was glad (always hungry). We checked in with our party of 7. That being said, maybe don't advertise immediate seating unless you can guarantee that. But again, no big deal, there were seats at the bar. Actually, there were two bars and they were really nice! Lots of room and comfortable. We asked the back bartender if they had a tap list and she was kind of rude and said no. ....but I looked to my right and there were literally those plastic table menus with a tap list on it. Okay... thanks for that. We ended up bellying up to the front bar where the bartenders were much more pleasant than the confused, gloomy one in the back. So we wait, and wait, and are finally seated 30 min later. Again, I don't care... but this is not even close to being immediate. When we sit down at our table we wait and wait some more to be greeted. The server came over and got our appetizer and drink orders. It took quite awhile to get our drinks and forever to get our apps, but finally they came. I got white cheese curds for my app and they were really good! Most of us ordered soup or salad as one of our sides. I ordered clam chowder. This chowder was super watery with too much potato and not enough clams. I couldn't finish it. After another forever, our meals came. I had fish fry with mashed potatoes. The batter of the fish was a little thick for me, but it definitely wasn't bad at all. The mashed potatoes were a little on the cool side coming out, but were otherwise really good. There were some lumps, which I like... tastes very homemade. A friend of mine got lobster ravioli and it didn't look very appetizing. She finished it (there were only 5 raviolis, so not too difficult to do,) and she confirmed that it wasn't great. So, I'm no expert. But I feel like the huge size of this menu and how many options there are makes it hard for everything on the menu to be great. You have chefs making steaks, pastas, pizzas, seafood, burgers, gyros, ETC. Even a normal Friday night fish fry special is called Fish Fry or Prime rib special. Like... pick a thing! I used to visit BBG's quite often, but the last few visits have been disappointing and not as good as it used to be. For starters I got a carry out order last week, and I was a fool and didn't check to make sure it was correct before leaving. When I got home our order was a spinach pizza, I called to let them know and all they had to say was sorry. Ate the pizza anyway, it ended up being okay. Visited with friends this week for beers and food, wasn't very good service or food. Our server was very young and she didn't seem to know what she was doing. Our food was very bland. Took another 10 minutes to bring the drinks over. (A Bloody Mary and a white milk). We ordered our food and waited 50 minutes for French toast, and 2 egg plates (eggs, hash brown, toast). Not sure if this is new ownership so much as it's just a new design in place. The building has a history of devouring whatever opens here, and from the previous mixed reviews and sentiment about the BBQ place most recently here, I'm kinda hoping it's the same guy. It sucks to see anyone's business fail... That said, BBG just opened fairly recently in a huge building. There's a ton of tables inside, hardwood floors, two bars and a patio. It's got a reasonable sports bar feel, and a menu designed along those lines. The newness of the place was obvious on my visit (third week of April) if for nothing else than watching the servers interact. I've opened enough places to recognize the vets from the new girls, the bartenders who think they're the shit, etc. It's all fun to watch. Ownership seemed to be in place. Rarely will you see a manager in jeans and sneakers instructing service staff or talking to tables. I've got mixed feelings about that, but it's much better than ownership that sits in the bar in a suit and keeps calling the employees over to them. They seemed pretty comfortable with what they were doing. I can't go into a lot of detail on the food. This was my first stop from the Dane airport after spending the previous thirty-six hours travelling from Eastern Europe. I had the Italian beef sandwich and she had a sandwich with chicken (I think). My sammie was good, and decently sized, with au jus on the side and we both had fries. Strangely, I remember not liking my pickle. It was floppy, and I think we made a joke about being away so long that even the pickles are bored. Beer variety was good, and they didn't seem to have a ridiculously overstocked bar (bad mistake often made by new places - you don't need every flavor of Three Olives). Pricing on our bottles was fair and we left satisfied. Service isn't worth extended commenting. It was par, and our server was young and new to this. She did well enough, and I'm sure she'll improve over time, as will most aspects of the place. This is a long review for a three-star, but I think they can keep it going and hopefully survive through the summer and make enough money to get through the winter. For the general local population that doesn't want to drive to Madison or Janesville...support your locally owned and recommend things for improval. We went on a Sunday night during a winter storm, so the place wasn't really busy. We had the fried green beans for an appetizer and they were really good! The dipping sauce was just plain ranch, good, but not exciting. I had the black, bleu, and green burger - burger with bleu cheese and green olives on it - two of my favorite things! The burger was yummy! I really wanted to try their onion rings, but they were out, so I got the cheese curds instead. They were okay, but nothing special about them. We were very disappointed in our overall dining experience. We stopped here on our way home passing thru not knowing any of the places in Stoughton, WI. This particular one we felt was no good! We were greeted and sat immediately after arriving. After being sat is where it all went down hill. So they sat us in a section away from the bar due to the fact we had our 4 year daughter with us. That was fine except we all had sandals on and they were cleaning up broken glass that had been shatterd on the floor all around our table. They must have had a bigger group that had left before us because all the tables were dirty and slid together. No big deal things happen right?. So then we went to try and order our drinks but never got any service or server to come to us after being sat. There was nobody in the restaurant besides us! They clearly saw us because they were cleaning all around us and I was swatting the flies off of my daughter every few minutes so it had to look like I was waiving at someone. The flies were so gross we almost got up and left and went to the place up the road on the corner that we passed coming here. Finally my wife went to the bar and got someone to get us drinks and take our order. The young kid sat at the bar counting his tips and playing on his phone the entire time. Even the kitchen staff was walking around playing on their phones. Gross!!! Nobody washed their hands!!! When the food came out our daughter's chicken Alfredo had no sauce on it! We had to ask for sauce! Our chicken special was stuffed with chorizo and cheese had strawberries around the plate. Weird and not very good! The rice it sat on was over done and hard, the chicken was dry and over cooked. My daughter never got her drink to go with her meal, nobody came to check on us or get us any refills, my wife had to walk to the bar to get napkins and then the ones the young boy handed her were wet. So finally I had enough. I walked over and asked for my daughters drink and our bill as I told the owner or manager at the other bar our horrible experience. She said sorry our staff is switching shifts right now as if I truly cared why I got horrible service... We were paying customers expecting.
