Nice environment, incredible food. The shrimp was amazing, and so was the flatbread. And the fries. And the service. I guess...that's everything. Will be back!

I had heard good things about Stone Porch Ale House, so decided to stop in over the weekend for date night. I had no idea it is where the old Gray's Tied House was! I was thrilled to see that something had gone into that space, because it's perfect for a restaurant - very spacious. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, because it's one of my favorite meals, and must check it out whenever I see it on a menu somewhere. It comes with your choice of a side, so I opted for the house chips with French onion dip. The chips were crispy with the perfect thinness, and the dip was a great addition - I've never seen that as an option with a side before! The sandwich itself was just okay, there were two fried chicken thighs, but one was really rubbery and tough to chew, so I ditched it and just ate the one. I enjoyed the pickles and garlic aioli, but the taste of the seasoning blend was more sweet than spicy - definitely not how I imagine a Nashville hot to be. I probably wouldn't get it again. My husband enjoyed his Apple Brandy Alexander, and I opted for Coke, which came in cute mason jars. I always enjoy when restaurants have fun glasses! Due to the location and the menu options, we will likely return, but I definitely plan to try some other items!

Mushroom & swiss burger with cornbread

Went here for lunch on a Saturday and was impressed with how many kids were there given that it's an Althouse. Very family friendly with our waitress being super accommodating and attentive with the kids. We ended up ordering the chicken tenders immediately and then she came back to get our order once we had time to look at the menu. We got the mushroom & swiss burger with cornbread and the sausage and apricot pizza. All the food was pretty good, including the kids meal. We couldn't believe how large the chicken tenders were, with a pretty thick breading that looked like they had just dredged it upon ordering. The sweet potato waffle fries were also quite tasty with just enough crisp. The pizza was a nice combo of salty sweet and the crust was pillowy with a firm base. Really tasty. The burger was fine, but super messy. The bottom bun was pretty much saturated with juices. The corn bread outdid my expectations and it was a huge cube of a piece. Served with some honey and butter, I would recommend. It would be great with a soup or salad. Overall, good atmosphere, attentive staff, and pretty good food for not a bad price. Would recommend trying it out.

We dined in with a group of 7 and had a wonderful experience! The hostess recommended for future visits to use their online reservation system for a group of our size, which was a nice tip. We were seated and our server came by quickly. He was kind and friendly, and he did a great job continuing to check in on us throughout our meal. I ordered the gouda pub burger and it was delicious. The chips were not my favorite - they were a little too oily for me. However, I got to try the cornbread (one of their other sides), which was tasty, and I like that you get butter and honey to spread onto it. Overall, we had a lovely time and we look forward to coming back!

Great food and tons of beer choices equals excellent new restaurant in Verona. We made a reservation on their website easy enough. We had studied the menu online in advance of our meal. I started with a side salad with red wine vinaigrette. The server stated this dressing is a favorite of customers, and I agree. The salad was a nice size and very fresh. My husband had the French Onion Soup. He liked it, but it could have used a bit more salt. I chose the shrimp po boy sandwich for my main. It did not disappoint. Four very large deep-fried shrimps were so tasty with the fresh tomato slices, lettuce, and a mildly spicy remoulade sauce. It's just the best combination of flavors, A+!

Our waiter gave us great tips in navigating the menu and experiencing the variety - and it could not have been a more special experience celebrating my brother's 60th birthday with my 91 years old dad. They have 3 Old Fashion options - we tried 2 and they were both rock solid. The ravioli and trout almandine are savory entrees that didn't disappoint. The baked potato is an innovative cloud pleaser but highly recommend sharing. And don't sleep on the onion soup - I've never experienced anything like it. The smell that emanates when you first pierce the creamy foam layer will make you say 'whoa.' Will definitely return.

The restaurant was beautiful and the service was amazing. I appreciated that our waitress was very knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu and what ingredients they contained, which is perfect for anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions (like myself). We were seated near the open kitchen which also added to the dining experience. I tried: - Scallop toast - I really enjoyed this. It was mild, not fishy tasting at all, and the brioche was toasted very well. I'm not a huge seafood person aside from sushi and poke, and had never had scallops before, so I was not expecting to like it as much as I did. - Ricotta Raviolini - I was not a huge fan of this, which was especially disappoint since it was my main entree / the most expensive on this list. It was essentially a folded sheet of pasta with a tiny bit of ricotta, topped with barely cooked asparagus and snap peas. The menu also lists lemon infused olive oil, but I didn't taste that at all. The parts of the raviolini with a good amount of ricotta were delicious, but the dish overall was bland and tasted like raw asparagus and peas. My friends also tried it and none of them liked it either. - Baked Potato with The Works - super simple and perfectly executed. It comes with bacon, which we got on the side since I don't eat red meat. Potato was fluffy and salted perfectly, with a good amount of other toppings. My friends who do eat bacon said it tasted more like ham than bacon, and they actually preferred the potato without it. - Dark Chocolate Bread Pudding - Loved it. I love bread pudding and chocolate pudding, but never thought to combine the two. It was delicious - soft, not super sweet, and great portion size. I would recommend sharing, it's pretty rich which can be overwhelming at a certain point. - Flightless Bird mocktail - this was one of the best mocktails I've tried. It has a black tea base but tasted more like a regular cocktail without the alcohol burn rather than tea. Everyone at the table enjoyed trying it too. Despite the raviolini being a miss, the rest of the food, service, and ambiance made this such a wonderful dining experience that I can't wait to come back and try more.

Atomic Koi Cocktail Lounge in Fitchburg, WI has potential to improve if they had the right staff! I…read morehave gone there on more than one occasion where their bartenders were rude, unprofessional, and ruined the overall experience. My husband still loves coming to Atomic Koi Cocktail Lounge because it's a laid back lounge away from the rowdier young local college students bar atmosphere that's still vibrant with an eclectic vibe with illuminated fish tanks and a fun cozy ambiance. The crowd is mostly young working professionals near the area mid 20s-30s on up that are looking to unwind and have fun with their family/friends. Atomic Koi is a fun lounge that has games like a giant Connect Four, a pool table, shuffle board, and darts. They also have a good diverse cocktail menu that has something satisfying for everyone from martinis, tropical drinks, mojitos, beer, and more. Recently, my husband suggested the Atomic Koi to show our friends and family from out of town a good time in the Madison area. I ordered a cocktail and the bartender claimed they didn't have the ingredients to make the drink which didn't bother me but I have gone to Atomic Koi more than once trying to order a cocktail on their menu and the bartenders claimed they were unable to make it or didn't have the ingredients or maybe they just didn't feel like making it like some of their ice cream drinks and it wasn't busy in the moment. I then ordered the Golden Colada which is a fun pineapple tropical flavored drink! If they are unable to make a specific drink but the drink is advertised on their menu they should be able to make it consistently if requested otherwise take it off the cocktail menu permanently because patrons expect to be able to order a specific drink if its on the menu. My husband, friends, and family were having a good time. A back corner nook opened up where some people left and we wanted to sit there as a group however there was super sticky drinks on the floor under the table nook. One of my family members asked one of the bartenders if she could please mop up the sticky floor or find another staff that could. The bartender was super rude to my family member and said she wasn't going to mop it up until closing time at 1am. Then my family member asked if she would at least get someone to pull the mop out from the back and he would mop it up himself and she refused. She should have politely told my family member "sorry I am unable to leave the bar area but I will find another staff to mop it up when they are able to" but it was her rude don't care entitled attitude which didn't leave a good impression on my family members from out of town. I went back up to the bar and spoke to a different bartender who wasn't busy tending the bar and told him the situation. He did fix the situation and mopped up the sticky floor when he was able to which I appreciated but he looked over it like he didn't really want to be there not really friendly. If Atomic Koi could consistently recruit/ retain more professional, trained, personable, friendly bartenders and actually follow through in making cocktails actually advertised in their cocktail menu , its a great spot to go to for a great drink and a fun place to unwind!

The décor and overall aesthetic are lovely, but the food and service didn't come close to matching the first time. The biggest issue was temperature. Majority of food on the plate was not hot and not warm -- not the chicken, not the rice, not the beans. At the previous location, you could see the chickens roasting on the spit, and the food arrived hot and fresh. Here, I'm not sure what's happening behind the scenes, but the food temps indicate it had all been sitting. The only item that was freshly prepared were the plantains. I didn't bring it up to the server because she was checked out the entire time, and honestly, I can't expect her to remedy the kitchen if she can't bring waters. Why is the kitchen sending out food that clearly isn't hot? Is it being held in a steamer? If so the temps are not being checked and that becomes a food safety issue beyond quality‑control issues. Service itself also missed the mark. The pretty glasses are small -- though pretty-- and I had to flag the server down for refills. Same with the sauces that are supposed to come with the meal; they only arrived after I asked. To be clear it was 1:00 on a Monday and there was one other table in the place at arrival, and one table after our arrival. I had been planning another visit to introduce a different friend, but after this experience, I don't think I'll be returning. I hope things improve, because the new space deserves better execution than what's currently coming out of the kitchen.

This place has such a fun atmosphere, it's bright and cheery and full of greenery and bright colors. Just what was needed in the midst of March snowfall. We came for lunch so I didn't have a chance to try and of the fun sounding alcoholic beverages on their drink menu, but it's on my list to come back here. I ended up getting the arroz con pollo. Perfectly cooked chicken over cilantro rice with a bunch of yummy stuff in it! There were two different sauces on the table, I don't even know what they were, but I used both on my rice (even though it didn't need any help) and they were delicious. If I had a complaint, I wish there was an option (charge me $2 extra?) to have the chicken taken off the bone... probably one of my least favorite things to do but I feel I'm in the minority. It wasn't super busy when we went, but our server was still very attentive and kind. Can't wait to come back.
