I had talked to Lance about getting another Toyota Highlander like on Friday 09/ 29. On Saturday 10/30 , Lance called me stating that there were no more Highlander L or LE available at this time. This is the second lease I've tried to get a quote from this guy. The issue is the same both times, I always have to worry if this guy EVER returns your call. I've had this happen on two separate occasions so isn't a one time fluke. My theory is that this guy either cannot get the deals or vehicles I want or he takes on too much business to handle. He'll say he'll get back to you but never does. When I did reach out to Banzai, he did call me back within a few hours and mentioned that the car I was asking about is not really the type of vehicle his clientele goes for. As the time of this review, it's been around two months and I know I was probably already forgotten minutes or hours after we spoke. I've never gotten any explanation or reason as to why he never got back to me. Maybe he forgot, maybe he couldn't find the deal or whatever dealers he has in his network won't offer good deals. There are enough of these broker types everywhere that I can easily just shop around and find pricing within minutes. I wanted to try local to see how they perform and I'm so far 2 of 2 in duds. I shouldn't have to be concerned if this guy will get back to me or not. If I don't hear back within a few hours, I just drop the broker. Competition is just too fierce to deal with nonsense. Before I got into my recent vehicle, I contacted two brokers. One of them got back to me in minutes and another within an hour or at most a few hours. No one will care about my situation but I'll just post it anyways. I did end up finding a car with a dealer and they had great price after using an online broker's publicly posted numbers. Back in 2020, I did reach out to Banzai and did not receive a call back then. A second inquiry again in July 2023 and received the same issue, I never heard back. Take it what you want with this info, but I'm experienced enough that I can open one of these brokerage car broker businesses but I hate just about most facets of the automotive retail world. If you're wondering why I bothered to use a broker, it was due to circumstances I'm seeing myself in life at the moment and it would be much faster for me to use one and pay a little more as finding a deal where you won't get ripped off is very time consuming and mentally taxing. So after a major disappointment with trying to buy a Tesla Model 3 before the year end, I called up my buddy Lance. Lance had done some work helping my mother lease her first vehicle after retirement and I trust him completely. Why? Because there were several times at Jiujitsu when my life was literally in his hands and he chose to let me live. (maybe for a future business.. maybe for mercy.. the world may never know.) All Mercy aside, I provided him a monthly budget for leasing a vehicle and he gave me a list of options to choose from that all had great year-end deals. I snuck around a few dealerships and tried out a few cars and settled on the Lexus ES 350. A few days before the paperwork was complete, he let me know of a newer deal on 2018 Lexus RX350. A car that was much higher priced than the ES350 but through Lance's skills, got me a Fully Loaded RX350 deal that had a cheaper monthly rate for a 36 month lease. Luckily a had a friend who had one and I got to try the car out. I always associated the RX with an "Old person" vibe, but the new models are nice and after driving it I called up Lance and said, "I dont care if they call me a grandpa... Im in." Within 3 days, bank approval and car was delivered New Year's Eve to my house. It took about 10 minutes to sign everything and the keys were in my hands.
