the amount of times i have walked by this place, poked into the window and didn't go in are too hard to count. the other day was the day i sure did, and sure enough, that same day i walked out putting my deposit down on a model 3. no car dealership has ever been smoother than my tesla dealership experience, all thanks to alex. calm, collected, knowledgeable and patient, my mother and i approached him easily with 20+ questions, to which he answered each with ease and professionalism. it is incredible how quickly you are able to test drive and get the ball rolling - these salespeople are not gimmicky or coy. nothing uneasy is going on here unlike the air sometimes you feel in other car dealerships of that push to buy. the fact that you can control and purchase everything online/from the app made it so simplistic. my whole time entering and leaving was under 2 hours, and i felt i got the gist on just about everything tesla! being a pasadena resident, too, this was a super convenient location and couldn't have had an easier, smoother or more efficient experience throughout. thank you alex, and thank you tesla!! can't wait to be apart of the T Team. :-) read more

Alex was really helpful and patient, even when the store was jam packed! Answered all my questions and he and Mike set me up with a 24hr test drive. I ended up purchasing the vehicle a few weeks later! Some tips I have for ordering, if you have a referral, don't pay with Apple Pay! It voids it out for whatever dumb reason and you lose out. Electric cars are the new technology disrupter (they will change our lives just like the iPhone) --and Tesla leads the way for all other electric brands to be adapted into the market place. There are many options for electric cars this year, including fuel cell & hybrids. But nah, I was in the market only for an electric car for environmental considerations. I felt it's time; the technology is ripe for consumption. I tested 5-6 other competitors and there were more cons than pros for me. For the elegance of its software, futuristic design, functional simplicity, aerodynamics, proven market share and tax incentives Tesla was the clear winner for me. I visited the Pasadena branch for 4 test drives. Each visit, I was met with super helpful, informative Teslites. But wait- by the time I decided on a model to purchase, the sales transaction took place within 38 minutes all in the Tesla app. I didn't time it I just happen to check my watch as I was meeting friends for lunch. I've never bought a car in my life that took 38 minutes .. STUNNED beyond words. And I dealt with no sale gimmicks. No stalker salespersons. No haggling. In the end, I was sold. Everyone, be careful, don't buy a car from this place. The service attitude and professionalism here are very poor. In the past week, I went from being a Tesla fan to a victim! Each of their sales gave me a little misleading information, which made me think that my car purchase process had become a nightmare. They told me that there was a subsidy of $7,500, but they didn't tell me that it was not possible to buy it with a company. They told me that the best deal was a loan with an interest rate of 1.99%, but they didn't tell me that the 1.99 was just the beginning, and then it became 15%, and then changed to 9.? %; I asked them to find a Chinese-speaking salesperson, but they said they didn't have any. Later, I found that there was a store not far away with mainly Chinese salespeople willing to help; I finally found the manager Mike of Pasadena, and his arrogant attitude of not caring about anything made me cry. In the end, I left the Pasadena store crying and lost a "deposit" of $250. When they charged the fee, they didn't tell me that it was non-refundable. read more

I brought a brand new Tesla, and I was told there was a 4 year or 50,000 warranty. The car isn't even 3 years old and it's had repeated problems. I took the car for maintenance just two months ago and they told me that the car was perfectly fine and passed with flying colors! All of a sudden at 51,000 miles. There is a sudden problem with the steering wheel and the lane adjusting. I went to the service center in The Valley and they said it's not a big deal it can be resolved but we have a 245$ charge per hour for diagnostic. I said what about the warranty and they said they had an extended warranty but it wouldn't apply to you since you are at 51k. I asked around several other Tesla owners and they all told me that they never heard of the new extended warranty. I took to another Tesla service center and they said that the steering wheel is failing and to replace it, it will cost me $2,800 to replace! I said why wasn't I offered the warranty. They told me call customer service. I called customer service they said we have no control over it please call the local service center. I went back to the service center and they said we can't do anything about the warranty. You need to pay the $2,800 plus for a brand new steering wheel. Mind you I have not had any car accidents, nor do I ever speed or swerve and I've never even used the automated self driving mode. For the steering wheel to fail after only 3 years. Now get this, it just goes on. I approved the 2,800$ steering wheel. They said car will be ready same day. So we can't give you a loaner. Then I get a message today that the car computer screen might also have a problem. But by the way, ur car will be ready tomorrow after 12 pm. I said Im working till 9 pm tomorrow. He said. If you don't pick it up before 6 pm, then we will charge you 50$ a day for storage. I used to be a BIG BIG TESLA fan and super careful about driving. After realizing how much the car fails after 3 years and now a 3k repair, then what value is it "saving on gas". Honestly, if I would go back to Diesel. I would. This has been a mistake. From when I walked through the door, he made doubly sure that any questions I had were answered, that I knew the ins and outs of the Model 3, and that any concerns I had about driving it were put to rest. The test drive was a dream! After the drive, I had some further questions on financing and incentives for a potential purchase. He had very thorough and detailed responses that gave me a much better insight into making a decision to purchase or not. At no point during my entire time at the store did I feel pressured to buy; in fact, Joshua even mentioned that he was there just to advise and that I was free to check out other car brands to compare if I wanted to! For the second time on my 3 purchase Tesla has changed my delivery date once I am in my " delivery window " . It is terrible that Tesla expects you to be ready and puts pressure on you to get ready. Sell your old car get financing and open your schedule for delivery time . Well again that happens . My delivery window was 3/27-4/10 and on 4/30 they changed my delivery to 4/13-5/11. So it may come on the 13th but I doubt it . The point is once the customer is jn your assigned delivery date it is totally ducked up to move it a month. I am once again caught having to Uber to work or rent a car. An expense I didn't plan on. My old car is sold and my money is sitting jn the bank waiting . Great car shitty customer service . SALES ADVISOR RAUL DELATORRE. Came in for a test drive and Raul made the whole experience very unpleasant with his unprofessionalism and unfriendliness. Received attitude from the start with false accusations (having test driven before), rude irrelevant questions (about background and family), and rushed the appointment all because he wanted lunch. He has no concept of actual service, was unreliable (doesn't reply emails), takes credit from his co-workers (wasn't my original sales rep). Works against you rather than with you (which makes absolutely no sense). And doesn't greet nor smile. He carries himself like his name is Elon and comes off as very arrogant, but struggles with simple questions like why I needed to sign the same waiver, twice. The answers he does provide are easily searchable lacking any real substance or effectiveness. He definitely needs to undergo some actual training or be removed altogether. Should have read the other reviews prior to going in since there are similar complaints about him. How he continues to work there is beyond me (feel bad for his teammates). All in all a huge blemish on the Tesla brand and management team. Aside from the actual 15min SOLO test-drive, it was the worst possible experience imaginable. What a nightmare. read more

Do not secure a car loan unless you have a vin number. Tesla has canceled their delivery time frame and delayed the delivery time so many times I can't remember anymore. It's so sad. Delivery dates are not reliable until you are given a Vin. Once a Vin is provided, they want you to close the sale in 3 days. This means if they give you a Vin on a Friday, you have to secure your loan check and insurance on Sat and Sun for a Monday delivery. IMHO It's like they really don't care about you. IMHO read more

Having done a at least four months of online research and pretty much deciding I want to lease a Model 3 later this summer, I only had one question that I couldn't find an answer for on the Tesla site: What's the per mile cost of exceeding the mileage limits on the lease? I know!! I'll just go down to the Tesla store in my lunch hour! Yeah!!! I walk in to find two employees sitting on stools. I ask the question above. One of the employees simply shrugged her shoulders, picked up her phone and ignored me while staring at the screen. The second employee, sat there with a confused look on her face, repeating my question at least twice while intermittently "umm-ing and Ah-ing." Eventually, a gentleman in a red polo shirt appeared from behind a partition at the back of the store with the answer: "25 cents per mile." Bearing in mind the premium charged for these wonderful machines, I can't help wondering if the indifferently ineffectual behaviour of the first employee is typical of what I'll experience once I've handed over my cash.
