Based on the reviews I ordered the burger here and it was the burger from my dreams! Juicy, flavorful, perfectly charred, served with arugula that gave it the perfect bitterness and crunch and grilled onions for just the right sweetness. It was so good that I didn't even notice if it had cheese! The girls here are super sweet and the vibe is very chill. Gorgeous and spacious outdoor place with lots of seating. I may regret this review if there's a line to the street next time... try it out, you won't be disappointed!

We find parking in the lot nearby as it is quite large so that was smooth. Go around the corner and find Kono's...no line and there are tables/seats available outside (be prepared to dine with chickens) and even inside. We order the Haleiwa, Waimea, and Local Bomber burritos and this is where things turn. We wait...and wait...and wait..approximately 1 hour for our food! Wow. I get folks are on island time but this is crazy. That said the burritos are quite tasty... so can't complain about that. If you are in a hurry (and yes we wanted to get to the beach early to score parking) then you may want to look at alternatives.

I don't really know what I was expecting from a golden turmeric latte, but it just tasted earthy. Nothing amazing about it, but I'm sure it had great health benefits. Size was decent and the portion was adequate. 6 pieces of golden flaky shrimp. I loved the coconut shreds on the rice. I wasn't a huge fan of Mac salad and the lettuce on the bottom but I understand why the plating was how it was so it's not a negative thing. The locomoco was dry and overcooked. I wasn't satisfied with this one and it unfortunately did affect my ratings. The party smelt amazing but as I bit into it, it was extremely crunching and a little bland in flavor. I think the gravy was great and wish I had more of the gravy to help the patty. The food came out fairly quickly and the staff was kind in bringing out the food. I'm glad I got to try this place out since I've past it several times and always seem too early or too late to try.

My only wish was that they would have had fans outside or something, to disperse the flies more easily--those were quite pesky. For three of us, we shared the prime rib moco and malasada pancakes. The malasada pancakes are like no other, and it's a must try at this restaurant. It has the perfect malasada texture without feeling super heavy. The prime rib loco moco was a generous portion and paired well with the sweet malasada pancakes. Service here was friendly, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I would definitely recommend Stonefish if you're looking for a good breakfast spot with something for everyone.
