It's really unfortunate that this place is closing soon. Sadly, the landowners decided it was too much of a liability, so that's no longer an option. I truly wish this spot was sticking around longer because the sandwiches here are absolutely delicious. Everything is strictly vegan, but honestly, it's enjoyable for everyone -- whether you're vegan or not. The flavors and quality really stand out. Came in on a friend's recommendation based on yelp reviews and heading into the area but they too have never been here. At first we weren't sure if they were still open because we didn't know they were located inside a health food store. They have an everyday menu and specials menu and I ordered the Banh Mi burger with garlic aoli and the dynamite sauce. My friend ordered the BTLAT sandwich. I didn't have much expectations as I have had so much overly priced bland vegan food but this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Everything is fresh and it's so flavorful. So sad there's no more eggless sandwich so I had to make my own similar. I got the breakfast sandwich and skipped the cheese, added avocado, and onions. This is literally my favorite place to get a huge filling vegan sandwich on the island. I hope they bring back the eggless sandwich!! FINALLY made it down to Haleiwa so we could treat ourselves to 'The Cosmic Kitchen'! It was our first time and definitely won't be our last. GUYS, we got the 'The acai heaven' with peanut butter smoothie and it tasted like a perfect marriage between both flavors. My wife swears its her new favorite combination. Do yourself a favor! Go find this secret little hole in the wall (well more like wall in an alley) and get yourself their "Kalua Jack" sandwich with garlic aioli. It was savory and creamy! With alot of pickled onions! This one packed alot of flavor. I only wish it had been bigger! We also shared their "B.L.A.T." with pesto aioli. This one was the more mild out if the two flavor wise. But it tasted extremely fresh and light. Despite being completely packed with creamy avocado. We got ours with tempeh! And like i said, wish it was bigger. Not to say the sandwiches were small! I love this place so much! I eat there at least once a week if not two - three times! Everything is vegan/plant-based, so there's no worries about any of the food being contaminated with animal products. They're quite health conscious and their ingredient choices compared to most other places and everything tastes amazing! They have their everyday regular menu, which I love the Kalua Jack and the breakfast sandwich with mushroom sausage the most. You can make any of the sandwiches into salad bowls or rice bowls or half salad/half rice. Then they have daily specials that you can call in or see on the specials menu when you visit. They have smoothies, cold special drinks, sweet treats and a daily soup as well! You can order at their window inside of celestial grocery store, or at the window on the side of the building. There are a couple / few small tables outside to sit at when it's clear skies. Lastly, they are part of the Full Cycle Takeout program where you can order a reusable to go container with your food and return it later to avoid using the disposable to go containers. How it works: 1) Order your meal and need to go container with cosmic, 2) an account with full cycle takeout 3) Find restaurant, choose cosmic 4) take out however many to go containers your meal requires 5) When you're done with it, return it within 10 days to the return station outside of cosmic's order window. To return: scan the QR code on the return station, tap the website, tap return reusables and select the number your returning. I would happily turn vegan if I ate food like the sandwiches we just tried from Cosmic Kitchen every day! Perfect meal after running around North Beach. All the ingredients were on point and meshed well together. Egg Salad Sandwich -- The fake bacon was incredible, arguably better than real bacon because it didn't become a greasy lump in your stomach. The fake eggs were similarly delicious and even had an egg-y texture. Highly recommend ordering this one with ciabatta bread, as well as garlic and pesto sauce. The one thing is that the sandwich comes with a lot of lettuce. We picked out a solid layer before we could bite into this sandwich properly. Even after we did this, a bunch of egg salad still fell out from the back. Messy, but worth it... and worked out well because we used the lettuce that we initially removed to eat the egg salad bits (almost like an additional lettuce roll app). Broccoli Burger special -- The guy at the cashier said the specials go fast. Between the two, this looked the tastiest and did not disappoint. Creamy Butternut Squash Bisque -- Yum yum yummmm. Actually, this soup tasted great with each bite of the broccoli burger. We were completely satiated after this meal. While I had only been laying out on the beach, my husband had been surfing for a few hours and was starving. These two sandwiches and the soup totally filled him right up! There's NO sign on a building for Cosmic Kitchen. You have to go through Celestial Natural Foods and Cosmic Kitchen is in the back. This place may be for everybody else but not for me. I got the scrambled tofu & it was just too much flavor, it almost tasted like I was eating a sandwich that got perfume sprayed all over it.
