The crispy spicy tuna is a wonderful bite of crispy rice, spicy tuna and avocado with some sauce on (not exactly sure). The WOW roll is wrapped in rice paper and filled with fresh tuna, cilantro, spicy sauce, tempura crunchies & avocado. For the reviews saying the fish isn't fresh you're mistaken. Also when restaurants are busy it is normal to have wait for fresh food (or sushi) to be made. The menu..... it's huge, they have all sorts of rolls, fish in, fish out, fish on top, fish on bottom, a bit overwhelming. We ordered 4 rolls & a tempura udon to share. Our salad that came with the tempura meal came out right away. The tempura udon, large in size, didn't come out for quite some time. Salad came out right away, rest of the food maybe 20 mins later. Now the sushi, we noticed right away that there was a piece of hair on one of our rolls. The waitress like really questioned us about it, she couldn't see it, but it was a thick black piece right on top. They took it back & I could here her saying they'll refund us the roll, but the chef was like "that little piece of hair" could tell he was angry about his mistake. The fish is not fresh by any means. Tastes a little too fishy, like it's been sitting out for awhile or even tastes like it was frozen, very mushy. The tempura udon tastes like straight msg, the upside of the whole meal was the tempura, if they got this wrong, I would've just walked out. Bill was $70 for 4 rolls & tempura udon. They didn't refund us the hair roll. The food was so bad that we had enough food left that could be a regular meal for one person. (Like a spring roll) Tune, avocado, crunchy bits, cilantro wrapped in rice paper. They have another called dragon tail. They split a jalapeno in half and fill it with spicy tuna, top it with eel. The host was very nice and sweet. She sat us right away and took our order. The food came out quickly and the presentation was so cute! Since coming our first time, we've been back here a few times now and we really do enjoy coming. We came back recently for our anniversary as an informal celebration dinner. The waitress noticed that I had bouquet of flowers next to me and asked what we were celebrating. I let her know that it was our four year anniversary and we wanted to grab a bite to eat. After we enjoyed our sushi our waitress surprised us the cutest, mochi dessert to help us celebrate. It meant a lot. It's the small things that matter and this was such a sweet gesture. They are known for their 100+ sushi rolls on their menu! Yes, over 100 sushi rolls! And every single one that I've tried is inventive, tasty, and well-made. They also have an extended menu with traditional Japanese dishes, plenty of non-seafood options, appetizers, Bento box, etc. Certainly something for everyone to enjoy! My husband's all time favorite roll is the Chernobyl Roll, and I am a sucker for their Teriyaki Steak! The steak is always so tender, perfectly cooked, and so filling (comes with Miso soup, salad, and rice). Our server on Saturday night was so fun, outgoing, and friendly! He was so easy-going and provided fast, friendly service. He recommended some wonderful Sake for us, all of the food came out quick and fresh, and he treated our friends to complimentary dessert for their recent engagement (Banana Tempura... O-M-G, delicious!!) This is a great spot for take-out and dine-in, with certainly the most varietal Japanese menu I have ever seen. This is our favorite sushi restaurant in Colorado! My boyfriend and I both work in the industry and have had a variety of cuisine experience therein. The quality of fish, supremacy of rolls, and are perfect for so many occasions. The location is cozy and convenient just off Leetsdale. The staff is consistently amazing from start to finish. We always feel so welcome when we come in and the servers are always hospitable even if its busy. There is a very mom-n-pop feel top the restaurant which gives it even more charm as you are helping a business and its people more personally when you eat this way vs bigger chains. They have 100 rolls! That's right! And while I'll admit there have been a few I'm not head over heels for, there are so many that I am obsessed with I don't know how anything else can compare. What I tried: Rolle fiesta roll (on their specials menu) with lime wedge and red spices on top Number 1 with sesame oil, sesame seeds and lemon Number 97 with tuna Edamame $5 Our waiter asked us if we wanted edamame and I said sure not knowing that edamame was actually $5. Most sushi places I've been to give this to you for free. So when it came I asked the waiter to take it back because we weren't aware that it cost money. The waiter was about to send it back but then he gave it to us anyway for free because it was past 9PM and he said they'd throw it out anyway. My favorite roll of the three I tried was number 97. My least favorite was the rolle fiesta roll. I thought all of the rolls tasted fine but the portion size was smaller than I expected. I did enjoy that the rolls were small enough for you to take a single bite out of them rather than the awkward two bites where your sushi is forced to fall apart. Thirteen bucks isn't a bad price for a sushi roll but given the small size of the rolls, I would consider this place a tad pricey. read more
