I arrived at Labor & Delivery in active labor after my OB had already been notified and instructed me to tell the front desk to contact him immediately because he was expecting me. I did exactly that. I repeatedly told staff my baby was coming, but I was told there was no room available. Then my water broke directly in front of the Labor & Delivery desk. I dropped to my hands and knees, screaming and crying in pain while my husband repeatedly begged staff to help me. I was not immediately examined, given a wheelchair, or taken for care. An off-duty nurse who heard my screams from outside the hospital came in, recognized the emergency, got a wheelchair herself, and rushed me toward triage. Because I had not yet been admitted, my husband could not come with me. When the elevator opened, I was in such advanced labor that I physically could not sit because my baby had descended into the birth canal. I crawled out of the elevator on my hands and knees. In triage, I removed my own soaked clothes and shoes, climbed onto the bed myself while shaking uncontrollably, and repeatedly screamed that my baby was coming. Despite staff being around me, I still was not immediately examined. One nurse asked my name, told me I was "doing okay," and walked away. It was only when another nurse realized my baby's head was already crowning that a physician was called to catch her. My daughter was born approximately eight minutes after my water broke. Thankfully, my daughter and I were physically okay, but that does not make this acceptable. I genuinely believed I was going to deliver my baby without medical assistance inside a hospital. The incident became known within my OB's practice. At my postpartum appointment, staff were already aware of what happened and referred to my delivery as a "horror story." I am sharing this because no woman in active labor should have to beg for medical attention while her baby is literally being born. read more

I'd love to say five stars but the parking situation here is well out of hand. I don't know if they're building another parking deck anytime soon but it was absolutely nuts. I watched people getting off the elevator for over 90 minutes before I was finally able to follow someone to a space they were leaving. Yowza. We had two visits here within a week. One was a simple biopsy. The later was an extended stay in the Neuro ICU. Don't worry, everyone's fine now. The nursing staff was over the top welcoming, helpful, caring and friendly. Especially the nurse who spotted my brother and I in my Dad's room after he went back for his procedure and walked us over to the area so we could be with him before he went back for it. And just everyone was super nice. I wouldn't want to spent multiple days here again but if there's a nicer hospital in South Florida, I can't find it. If I could give this zero stars, I would . I took my three-month-old baby to Baptist Health, formerly Boca Regional Hospital, because she had a high fever, swollen eyes, and hadn't eaten in over 10 hours. As a terrified parent, I expected proper care and honesty. Instead, I got misinformation, misdiagnosis, and an avoidable financial burden. At no point during check-in or triage did anyone mention that this hospital does not treat pediatric patients. That critical fact was only brought up after we had already been taken to the back and tests were started. They performed a nasal swab and collected barely a drop of urine, then told me my baby had a urinary tract infection. They discharged us with medication and assured me she was fine. Within less than 24 hours, my baby's condition got much worse. I had to rush her to another hospital, where she was immediately admitted for severe dehydration, a GI virus, and rhinovirus. The doctors there confirmed that Baptist Health completely misdiagnosed my baby. A UTI cannot be confirmed on-site -- urine must be sent to a lab, which takes at least 24 hours. To make matters worse, Baptist Health didn't even have the capability to give a baby IV fluids or perform basic bloodwork -- things that any hospital should be able to do for an infant in distress. I've never heard of a hospital that can't even provide IVs or bloodwork for a sick baby. Because of their negligence and failure to communicate, I am now stuck paying two $250 co-pays -- one for Baptist Health (Boca Regional) and another for the hospital that actually treated my baby properly. Had they simply told me up front that they don't treat pediatric patients, I would have taken my baby elsewhere and avoided both the misdiagnosis and the added expense. This experience was heartbreaking, infuriating, and completely unacceptable. No parent should have to go through this -- scared, misled, and paying for inadequate care. If you have a child, do not take them to Baptist Health (formerly Boca Regional Hospital). Go to a hospital that actually has the proper pediatric resources and staff to care for your baby safely. read more

It's unfortunate I even have to write this review about the Neuro ICU. The Monday-Friday medical staff--especially Dr. Garcia, Nurse Becca, and Neuro ICU Director Tammy--were outstanding while caring for my mother after her hemorrhagic stroke. They were attentive, compassionate, and competent. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The rest of the hospital experience, particularly the check-in and security desk, was unacceptable. When families come to an ICU, they are under extreme stress. You would expect even a baseline level of empathy. Instead, we were met with hostility, attitude, and blatant abuse of authority. Despite Tammy escalating the issue to security leadership, nothing improved. If anything, it felt like retaliation. Two individuals at the front desk were especially egregious. One is a blonde woman who often wears pigtails, and the other is a heavier-set woman who carries herself with the same aggressive, confrontational demeanor. Between the two of them, every interaction felt like you were dealing with people who were more interested in control than doing their job. They were dismissive, combative, and completely lacking in professionalism. We were denied access to my mother multiple times and lied to repeatedly. These weren't misunderstandings--this was consistent, deliberate behavior. The blonde woman escalated situations unnecessarily and even threatened to call the police, which was completely uncalled for given the circumstances. The other woman matched that same energy--short, hostile, and clearly on a power trip. There was zero effort to de-escalate or show even basic human decency. What's worse is that other staff in the building openly acknowledged that these two are a known issue and that complaints about them happen all the time. That tells you everything you need to know. This isn't an isolated incident--it's tolerated behavior. In contrast, when we eventually dealt with a professional security guard (not the front desk staff), he immediately recognized the situation and even admitted he regularly has to step in because of how these individuals handle people. That alone speaks volumes. Beyond security, the night shift and weekend medical staff were equally concerning. There is a clear disconnect between them and the weekday team. On multiple occasions, night staff didn't even know which side my mother--an ICU stroke patient--had deficits on, approaching her incorrectly and demonstrating they had not reviewed her chart. For a patient five days into an ICU stay, that is unacceptable. The contrast between weekday and weekend leadership was also stark. The weekday charge nurse treated us with respect and gave our family clearance based on our cooperation. Meanwhile, the weekend charge nurse accused us of "attacking" her simply for raising concerns about security--then immediately backtracked. That kind of language in a hospital setting is reckless and inappropriate. Throughout the stay, we encountered nurses and case managers who seemed unfamiliar with my mother's case and asked basic questions that reflected a lack of preparation. It became clear that without a strong, informed advocate, families are left completely in the dark. You have to do your own research and push for answers, because continuity of care is inconsistent at best. We were fortunate to move my mother to a rehab facility, but this experience made an already devastating situation significantly worse. The security team--particularly those two individuals--along with the night and weekend staff, made it difficult to gather information, coordinate care, and feel like part of the process. Family involvement is critical in neurological recovery, yet we were treated as a nuisance instead of a support system. This hospital needs serious retraining in professionalism, communication, and basic human empathy--especially for staff dealing with families in crisis. One star. An incredibly difficult time in our lives was made worse by people who simply did not care. The only saving graces were Tammy, Dr. Garcia, Nurse Becca, and Case Manager Jeanne. I visited the emergency room and was admitted for an unplanned procedure. I stayed here for five nights. The emergency room nurses and doctors were amazing. My nurse was Samantha (Sam), and she is the nicest person. She was attentive and made me feel comfortable. After receiving my lab and test results, they admitted me. I met with a doctor from the surgical team who explained the procedure to me. Luckily, I was able to have my surgery done robotically, which is much less invasive. Dr Adam from the surgical team, along with some residents, checked on me every morning up until the day of the surgery. The day I met the actual surgeon, I immediately felt that I was in good hands, and I was. Dr Belizon is a terrific surgeon. I had the best nurses on the 7th floor. They were simply wonderful. I felt cared for and safe. I had a few favorite nurses, and they know who they are, but all of the nurses were amazing. It made me both sad and angry to see first-hand how hard these nurses work and how most of their patients didn't even acknowledge them and showed them absolutely no respect. I understand being in the hospital isn't fun, and yes, it's easy to get cranky if you're not feeling well, but a simple, please, and thank you go a long way. Shout-out to Cody, Jerome, and Dee for taking great care of me. My first night, I was on the 6th floor, and I had Kathy G as my night nurse. The following 4 nights, while I was on the 7th floor, I was lucky enough to run into her again. The hospital was at full capacity, and they floated her up to the 7th floor. Even though I wasn't her patient, she made the extra effort to check on me. I appreciate every nurse who went above and beyond to help me during my stay. All of the nurses were kind and supportive. I can't comment on the food as I was on a liquid diet. But Luigi's Italian ices (lemon) were a real treat, and the Ocean Spray apple juice was cold and refreshing. The hospital is clean, and housekeeping came to my room on a daily basis. The best thing, though, was that patients were also treated to visiting rescue dogs! What a wonderful surprise. Boca Regional is a small, comfortable, relatively quiet hospital with all of the sophisticated equipment that the larger hospitals have as they are part of Baptist Health. I am about a month post surgery and feel great. read more

I normally would say this hospital is awesome and provides a needed service because they do. Unfortunately my mother has a horrible experience today on the 21st of August. She was supposed to get an out patient Pleurx Chest Catheter early morning. The staff called the day prior and stated she can't have any food after midnight and do not take your morning medication or insulin. I told the young lady my mom needs her insulin and she stated this is the Boca Raton Hospital and if your mother needs anything we will provide the service needed. I was reassured but her words were worthless. My mother was considered an out patient and was not admitted to the hospital this morning. The nurse advised me to drive back to there home and pickup her medication as well as her insulin. I made the drive and provided her medication to my mother directly. They told me if they contact my mothers doctor it will take to much time. I don't want my mom to suffer because of their mistakes. The sugar level was off the roof due to no insulin. I am very upset. I have enough tears from what's going on. They didn't need to drop the ball and add more stress to the situation. There procedure with out patients needs to be amended for diabetics. This should never happen again. The strain on my mother's body did not have to happen. I don't expect any apology from this hospital. I highly recommend to confirm all requests from hospital to patients to be more accurate. This hospital has the patient life in there hands. They have absolutely the worst patient customer care I have ever experienced. I was trying for over a week to get an appointment with a urologist. Each time that I was referred to a doctor, I would call their office and I would be told that the doctor did not handle my type of treatment. So far, I have been referred by other doctors within the system to three different urologists and I still don't have an appointment. In another instance, my doctor left the system, and there was no one available to renew my prescription for a hormone blocker that I needed because I was a cancer survivor. I had to call four times and was without medication for two or three days. Even though I was assured the prescription w would be called in immediately. When I asked why it didn't happen the only answer I was given was it's called in now. This is just the surface. Try calling in office and getting a medical assistant on the line when you press the prompt that's indicated it disconnects you. The doctors are wonderful. But the people supporting them are another story. read more

So, this is my second review. In my first review, I told you how wonderful the new emergency room in West Boca was. Now I will briefly tell you what happened after they took me by ambulance to Boca regional hospital. I was there for five days where I was treated for cellulitis they would not release me until my infection was under control. They sent me home with follow up carefrom in-home nursing that gave me 14 days of intravenous antibiotic. I was then referred to the infectious disease Doctor Who took care of me in the hospital for a follow up. I found Dr. Sandra CEBULAR to be very thorough very considerate and very attentive to my needs for me. The care that I got from the Baptist was A+. I am hopeful t hat there will continue to improve so that everyone could have as positive experience as I have had. read more

The many times we have had to come to this hospital - emergency and otherwise- we find that the support staff is very helpful. The nurses, nurses aides and doctors as a whole are a miserable group. Have yet to meet one that is pleasant in tough situations. Why is this allowed , why is this happening ? Is it the leadership , are these people miserable because of bad management???? Far better off going to emergency or general care at another hospital or urgent care. No need to take pictures - unless I take pictures of the nurses who are abrupt and rude at the very worst times. read more

Had my blood pressure and temperature taken. The Dr. came in and assessed the situation. I had some x-rays taken and shortly after was discharged. It was about 1 hour and a 1/4 from start to finish. REVIEWING CAFETERIA ONLY: Busy cafeteria with two service rooms, one seems dedicated to sandwiches, the other has a serve yourself salad station, a pasta counter and a fry grill; the fry grill has Impossible Burgers for veggies who bypass the sneeze shield salad bar. It's not expensive for a captive clientele in Boca. The tables for eating are a tad filthy, though, as people come and go and don't really clean up after themselves very well. read more

Be very, very careful of where you leave your elderly loved one.VERY careful. My aunt is currently staying on the ninth floor. She presented with some confusion and dehydration. My beautiful aunt has Parkinson's. It seems medical staff, doctors and nurses alike, look at the elderly who have disease diseases, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's as 1 foot in the grave. as we were trying to get my Aunt ready to go somewhere, Home, or a nursing rehab facility, the night before my aunt had a very bad night. She weighs 94 pounds and is 5'6" tall. My beautiful aunt pulled her IV out of her arm, and when the nurse came in to replace it, Carol was terrified and confused. According to the nurse, she needed six other nurses to hold my aunt down and restrain her. This was in the wee hours of the morning, so of course no one was there to witness this. Seven nurses? My son is an administration at one of the largest hospital systems in Florida if not the United States and he found this to be overkill. But because of the nurses overreaction and instead of trying to calm her and explain to my aunt what she was doing, she chose to overreact. This now put a blemish in my Aunt's file and she no longer has access to a first rate nor even a second rate Nursing Home/rehab facility. I find this unprofessional and such a lack of compassion for a hospital that has Baptist in front of its name is beyond the pale. Like I said, be very, very careful of where you leave. Your loved one, especially when an elderly. Everyone complains about the construction mess at this Hospital, we have far more to worry about than the construction mess. read more

For the past few months I have been seeing a new urologist Dr Joshua Heiman at the new 745 Meadows Rd pavillion. The office is brand new and ultra modern and the staff very warm and friendly. After having bad experiences with other Urologists in Boca Raton, I was very lucky to find Dr. Heiman. His personality and care is 10+ and I highly recommend that you book your appointment with him soon because when word gets out that he is the best Urologist in Boca I am sure you will have a long wait to see him! read more

If I could give this hospital 0 stars for the nursing supervisor Brad at 561-955-5313 1 would. He has no business being a supervisor as he is rude and disrespectful. Patient was admitted and GIVEN a private room - without asking. After 2 days of having the room - Brad decides to move the patient at 10pm at night even though she will have a procedure done the next day. He also proceeded to say that she wasn't paying $300 per night for that room and that she's lucky to have had the room for those days. He also kicked out her fiance after he just tried to get an explanation It's obvious that Brad only cares about the dollar signs and not about the patients. read more

ER was so FAST!!! Can't believe that we were in and out in less than an hour! On Christmas Day too. .Burned my hand making cookies and candy for the holiday. Did not want to go into the ER because it was xmas and I figured that it would be a zoo. It was the opposite of that. Beautiful lobby that look like a five-star hotel. CAROLYN the triage nurse got me in right away and right after she walked out of the room the doctor walked in. We were there less than 15 minutes and I was seen by the doctor. They listened to me, didn't treat me like a piece of meat in the sense that the doctor recommended a treatment course but did not auto implement. Actually asked my opinion and asked if I agreed with the treatment plan. Recommended that I get a tetanus shot but didn't do it until I agreed. It was nice that they gave it to me as an option rather than just telling me that I had to have one and that they had to give it to me. We have fairly good PPO insurance and sometimes in the past I have felt that hospitals and or doctors will increase the bill because they know our insurance will pay for it. I definitely did not get that impression with this hospital. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

With the exception of few competent compassionate staff, I must agree this Hospital is a nightmare. Dirty, understaffed and rude uncaring nighttime staff. Laying in a hallway waiting for a room for hours. Thankfully the ER Doctor did administer morphine in a timely manner. It got worse once I got in my filthy room. A young obviously inexperienced phlebotomist left hematomas on both arms, a RN in training took an hour to get pain meds for my kidney stone. She worked at a snails pace and was clearly not prepared to be working on her own. The night nurse Josh , although apparently competent , most certainly had pragmatic issues that negatively affected his performance. I can only hope that following the current building renovations will include reorganizing and supervising Nursing staff. read more

I had to have an MRI with X-rays before and X-rays after. I went to Boca Raton Baptist hospital to have this done. Everyone went above and beyond. the registration with Theresa to the Xray technician . The MRI technicians guided me through each step.I was able to review the result on the portal. read more

I can't speak highly enough about the treatment the whole staff gave my mother on the 9th floor. But Victor Barbosa, who was my mother's case worker, care really stood out. Unfortunately, and without good reason, the insurance company denied my mothers claim then was not allowing me to make an appeal stating that they weren't informed that I was the power of attorney. Victor asked if he could help, and then I handed him my phone to talk with the insurance rep. He then proceeded to go back and forth with the representative for the next 30 minutes and they eventually accepted our appeal. I can't begin to tell you how much this means to a person trying to get the proper care for a loved one. The whole time my mother was on the 9th floor, Victor was always there to answer questions with a positive attitude and caring demeanor. In my opinion and personal experience, Boca Raton Regional Hospital is not the best choice for hospital/medical care. The hospital administrative staff is incapable of properly updating medical records. Since Boca Raton Regional Hospital has a lack of available rooms for patients, due to renovations, the hospital apparently frequently chooses patients to evict from their rooms when they cannot accommodate new patients. This makes any stay or treatment at this hospital complicated and problematic. Additionally, Boca Raton Regional Hospital, despite my objections, strong armed me into a room using their building security while I was in my hospital bed, and as a result, violated my HIPAA rights. This is the worst hospital in every way. My poor husband went to their emergency room because it was the closest. After an endoscopy and colonoscopy they found a mass in his colon. My husband was kept in a room without a window and the AC was not working. I brought a fan from home. There's no communication whatsoever. They scheduled him for surgery without having pathology back. I asked to have him go home and it turned into a nightmare. Even threatened me that our insurance would not pay if we left. They did everything possible to not let him leave. Took 3 hours all the while I was disrespected. Dr Gupta addressed me as "Hey!" in the hallway. The doctor that was to do the surgery was a general surgeon and not a specialist. During such a delicate time we were treated with disrespect and not just lack of information but wrong information. No one was even able to give us his test results. While still there I called UM and just two weeks later Dr Sands is currently doing surgery. He was fully tested and we were given a game plan for his full recovery. I could never recommend Boca Regional to anyone. read more

This is Boca Regional Hospital - I had the worst experience of my life - only came for a chest Xray recommended by walk-in urgent care. Was in ER from 10 to 3 pm - freezing, and I had no breakfast, so they gave me a stale awful sandwich about 2 pm. It was so cold in there! Techs/nurse were nice, but I wanted to leave and they would not let me. I was fine - just wanted a chest Xray, but they scared me thinking I might have a heart attack. My 2 EKGs were normal and at this point I felt better. To summarize: they put me in a room at 3:30 with a patient who had bronchitis. She coughed for 2 hours and told me she was on antibiotics. Scary - why am I here? At 5:30 she left and then in the middle of the night they admitted an almost deaf patient from a nursing home - yelling, lights, tons of noise. . . where could I go? I tried putting the covers over my head but it didn't help. All night the bed was alarmed so you couldn't go to the bathroom without help (which never came until I set off the alarm). Lots more but it's making me upset just to write about it all. . . .and the cardiac breakfast at 6:30 a.m. was (are you ready?) sausage, eggs and cold pancakes. This is what they give cardiac patients? Anyway, there was a little oatmeal and coffee so I was ok. Didn't eat the other stuff - would you? God bless the doctor who released me at 10:30 a.m. My BP went from 130 in the morning to 170 after the night in hell. Do not go to this place - the staff is lovely, really, but they follow orders which is to keep you prisoner and never let you sleep. If you have a serious illness, I can't tell you what to do, and this might be a good hospital if you need serious care, but if you feel ok and just want some cautionary care, do not come here. Went in with chest pain and shortness of breath as I told them i have CHD genitic heart failure and they told me to follow up with my cardiologist everything was fine. I didnt feel fine and i still dont feel fine. I would not recommend this hospital anymore.... They were good at one time. read more

My son hit his head and we came here for a CT scan. Arrived at midnight and wasn't let out of the ER until 4AM. We were told that they were busy and we did see quite a few people come in through the ambulance bays. They are redoing their parking lot so it was hard to figure out where to park. He was taking for his imaging right away but it was nearly 3 hours before we saw an actual physician. We were told that there was no radiologist onsite so the reading would take about two hours. It took much more, apparently. Turns out he is ok but this won't be my first choice of hospitals. The bathrooms were gross and the ER rooms are tiny. read more

What an absolutely awful hospital. No matter what is wrong with you, and no matter how close you live to it, for the love of God find somewhere else to go. Not only did this hospital remove a diamond ring from my mother's hand when she was brought in to the emergency room, NO ONE from this hospital will return a damn phone call or take 5 minutes to investigate it. At this point it's about respect and the principle here; I don't actually expect to get the ring back. The woman is now dead, and the least these completely horrible people could do is pick up the damn phone and PRETEND to care. But that doesn't even scratch the surface. After she was in ICU for a few days, we were being given mixed messages by nurses. There was only one doctor, a palliative care doc named Dr. George Luck, who was worth listening to. And he went out of his way to explain things honestly and understandably. On the last day she was in ICU I had a few precious hours before work to first call the ICU, get an update, and then see my mother. A woman who would be better off selling shoes than being a nurse, Amanda, was my mom's nurse that day. She proceeded to give us completely different information than anything we had been told the previous three days and when I stopped her annoying mouth dead in her tracks, she proceeded to make fun of me. Yes, this little B****, with my mother dying in ICU, was making fun of my choices of words and phrases when I was clearly upset. Wasting no time, I drove straight there to see my mother and talk to a DOCTOR so I could find out what the hell was actually going on. Unfortunately, non-nurse Amanda was in the room tending to my mother. Trying to be much more respectful than she deserved I let her talk a bit and asked a few questions. And I said, trying to again be nice and respectful, "Well I'm glad she's here getting such good care." To which brainless annoying maybe should go back to nursing school for a remedial course in how to talk to... well, anyone... proceeded to say, "Wow. I really thought you didn't like us. I would think you'd want her anywhere but here." I tried to ignore that and she mercifully left the room to, I don't know, screw up someone else's IV or something. Knowing I couldn't stay long I snapped a picture of the board with all the nurse's and doctor's names on it, so I could reference it by phone later in the day. I guess little miss Amanda really didn't have anything better to do and was lurking outside the room. And then she sealed her fate. This brainless, clueless, just plain STUPID person said, 'You can't take pictures in there sir.". My first response was: "Lady I can do whatever the hell I want." But instead of saying that, I said, "Ok that's it. I've had it with you. It's best you don't speak to me anymore, and get your Charge Nurse in here right now." Charge nurse was probably playing Golf, but after about 10 minutes a clearly uninterested in my point of view woman entered the room, refused to shake my hand (again, I was trying to play nice with these people who clearly got their nursing licenses from "The Wharton School of Bad Nursing"). I got out maybe a few words about "I had it with this nurse and this hospital and I want some GD answers from a doctor right now..." before a man entered and took over the conversation. He wasn't a doctor or a nurse, but at least HE was trying to respect my point of view and be understanding. So, hat's off to this guy. Once we dispensed with the total BS of the picture... I'm married to a NURSE for God's sake and I know ALL about Hippa. It was a picture of the names on the board and I've done it countless times before and I'll do it again the next time I'm in hospital as well. There's nothing wrong with it. You ever have a big fight with a friend and you both are starting to now say things that aren't relevant just to piss the other one off? That's what little miss brainless, humorless, sarcastic, bitchy, stung by the fact that I thought she sucked at her job, was doing. There's a 94-year-old woman lying in a bed on death's door in an ICU, but it's more important to Amanda to call ME out (while a child could tell I was already pushed to my limit) on something that was totally unnecessary and irrelevant. If I live another hundred years I will never go back to this hospital. Boca West is equally close and while not perfect, I've never encountered such blatant disrespect and chillingly callous individuals. I wish I had gotten the name of the first ICU nurse Mom had and the ER doctor, because they actually were terrific and compassionate. Of course, neither the hospital administrator nor will anyone in authority read this. But you can bet your misunderstanding of Hippa butts that if your "Patient Experience" (that's a laugh) people don't call me back (I've only called and left messages TWICE now) in seven days, this letter and one much more skillfully worded vetted through a lawyer WIIL reach you. If you're looking to spend seconds trying to understand your loved-ones condition with physicians who stay for less than a minute (literally), then this is the hospital for you. If you prefer your nurses to be frustrated, impatient, overworked, unresponsive, and uncaring, you'll find no shortage of staff like this at Boca Regional Hospital. If you think Social Workers should hand you a list of junk and then walk away. Or, maybe you like to ask questions and be treated like you're an idiot with answers that make every decision less clear, then you'll love the social workers at Boca Regional Hospital. If this isn't enough, make sure you engage with the "Patient" Advocates. They could care less about your questions, concerns, lost items, or even your loved one under the hospital's care. It seems they've hired Hospital Advocates and given them a business card that says Patient Advocate. Bottom line, if you care about the information you need to make life or death decisions; if you hope to have empathetic nursing staff; if you'd like to engage with social workers who help you through the challenges you're facing; or if you need someone to advocate for your loved one during their most trying times, avoid Boca Regional Hospital. Oh, and the cafeteria smells like stale cabbage. That's just a bonus.
