We had seen them in January with no issues! The main and only doctor there,, Dr. Y has left the practice although he's listed on the website. No communication to their patients about him leaving. We were only told about it when we asked about the bill we received. There was no mention of the PNP who she saw when making the appointment of not accepting this major insurance when we visited. We are now saddled with $275 bill. Staff was super rude and brushed us off. Told us to speak to our insurance company about it and proceeded to interact with other people in the background and ignore me on the phone. Avoid at all costs! Literally.

The final straw was a recent interaction with a staff member at the St. John's location regarding a payment arrangement. After one missed call and a payment less than a week late, I was spoken to in a scolding, disrespectful tone and told I was "making her job harder." When my son's grandmother called back to make the payment, she was treated just as poorly--spoken down to instead of being helped. There is a complete lack of courtesy and patient respect, which is unacceptable in any healthcare setting--especially pediatrics. Before making the decision to leave and remove my son from this practice, I emailed the office two weeks ago to address these concerns and received no response. It is likely there will be a generic reply here asking me to email a practice manager--however, that effort has already been made, and the lack of follow-up speaks for itself. They ask about your child's eating habit, so they can bill for nutrition. Everything is done for a billing code, nothing is done because it is convenient or because they care. Don't think you can go for a well visit and ask to do your 3 month med check at the same time. Different billing codes, different visit. 30 min to get there, 1 hour to get in and out, 30 min home---waste of time. My older daughter, had enough, left for a regular family practice.

At that point, I had no choice but to cancel appointments for my other children as well and let them know we will never be back since this is the norm. After being a patient of this doctor for 19 years, it is extremely disappointing to feel like we can no longer get the care and accessibility our family needs. I was…read moreimpressed with Dr. Oles when I did the tour at the office before had my baby and in comparison to the other pediatric place near by, I enjoyed this place more. This is their 2nd location so it's smaller and usually only has 2 pediatricians on site. The lobby is open and clean, the front desk MA usually greets us using our child's name, which I'm very pleased with because it makes us feel familiar and comfortable. The check up rooms are small with very few equipments (bed, 2-3 chairs, scale and sanitizer container) and no sink to wash our hands or the doctor's, hopefully they'll improve that in the near future. Our scheduled well visit usually doesn't take longer than an hour and a half. The medical assistants do all the prep work on the child, weigh, measure, triage before the doctor comes in. Dr. Oles is very quick, almost too quick..sometimes! I had to slow her down and ask questions so we could have a better understanding of the diagnosis at our last appointment. I do feel like they rush us out of the office at some of our appointments but I suppose that's normal in all doctors offices, nowadays. I would recommend this office if your baby doesn't get sick often and you enjoy the express lane check up.
