I Took a visit to see Dr Ian Neuhaus after i cut my finger open, It was a pretty bad cut. I have gotten stitches done many times but no Doctor has ever made the process of being stitched up as smooth as Dr. Neuhaus did. The Nurse took me right in and made no troubles whatsoever with having to wait in the lobby. Doctor Neuhaus is incredibly intelligent ant calm, making it easy to trust this urgent care for any injury or sickness that comes your way. read more

I think I might've actually given these guys a good review, but not sure on what site, since I did it shortly after leaving. Came in with an angry, red, swollen eyelid. The doctor prescribed some drops. A couple of days later, I sent a pic to a friend of mine, whose wife is an MD. She got on and said to get my butt to the hospital immediately...said it was ocular cellulitis. Went to the ER within the hour, and she was right! 2nd day in the hospital now and will probably need a 3rd. It's not an uncommon thing, but it is very dangerous. How could the Urgent Care doc not know this?? read more

I was there several months ago (before they posted on their website to call first to confirm their x-ray capabilities for that day and time) with 2 fractures to my foot. When I scheduled my appointment online, I stated my need for an x-ray. I checked in at the desk and again stated my need for an x-ray. When I saw the doctor, he said that I needed an x-ray, but they were not able to do x-rays that day! Waste of time and money. I tried Urgent Care again two weeks ago when I had a deep, jagged laceration on my leg and I am on blood thinners. No doctor or PA on site. How can it be "Urgent Care"? read more

HORRIBLE! This Urgent Care used to be a lot better than they are now. Now I feel like I am nothing but a number or copay to the company. My most recent visit pretty much summed this up for me. I went to UCC on 10/17 for pain in my right shoulder. When I checked in, the person who was working the front desk (Igor) asked for a copay. I tried to explain that I had already exhausted my out of pocket payments for the year, but he basically would not allow me to proceed without the copay. He would not even look up my information. When I explain to him that I had seen a different doctor earlier in the day, and they could confirm that I had exhausted all my out-of-pocket expenses, he told me that he could not see that, and if I had indeed exhausted the payments that I could see a refund for my insurance carrier. Obviously I'm not paying the insurance carrier, so why would they issue me a refund? I asked him this and he would not give me an answer. After a few minutes, I finally decided I would just pay the copay, so I could be seen. While waiting to be taken back, I observed him acting rudely towards another patient, and then rolling his eyes when an assistant informed him to please not quote the wait times he was, as they were getting backed up with multiple X-rays being done. Once I had been taken back into a room, I asked the medical assistant about my co-pay, and she gave me the name and number of Olga, who manages the billing for the practice. The rest of the appointment was pretty uneventful. The provider was very nice and explain to me what she thought my issue might be based on the symptoms that I was presenting, and what she had observed. I went on my way with a prescription and decided the next morning to call back and speak to Olga . When I first called, I got Igor on the phone and he told me that he was the practice manager, even though I was pretty confident that he was not. When I told him that I knew he was not the practice manager, and that he was the one that I had an issue with, he mediately paste me on an extended hold, and did not come back. After 10 minutes of waiting I decided to reach out to my insurance carrier and discuss the issue with them. Luckily for me, I got someone who was a great advocate. She reached out to the practice and suddenly they immediately were able to refund my co-pay. I was able to obtain a different number for Olga and called her. She explained me the process for a refund and told me how long it would take before it reached back to my debit card. Thankfully, I received the refund within two business days. But I feel based on the treatment from the front desk it was not a good experience, and one that other patients should be aware of before deciding to choose UCC. read more

Love an urgent care that lets you make an appointment. We're new to Florida but I'm not used to an urgent care that isn't super busy. We did see one other family but it was nice to not feel like we were going to pick up something nasty while waiting in the waiting room for hours. read more

Cure was closing in 10 minutes, 8pm, when I arrived, with severe chest back pain and severe high blood pressure. Caitlyn, a nurse, took me back to room right away. She was very calming and helped distract me, so I could get my breath and try to stay calm. read more

This is a very special place. Not only is it a primary care office but it is an urgent care office. Open 7 days a week. Very kind staff. Very helpful. I have my elderly mother with me for a few months and had to take her to the office. I decided to continue to use them for her medical care during the time she is with me. My regular dr took days to get back to me and wasn't flexible. This office is the complete opposite. read more

Came in because I had a scratch on my eye, I made an appointment online for 11:30 and came in at about 11:20. I was on my lunch break so i was anxious i would be crunched for time since there's typically a long wait at urgent care offices. The front desk girl was sweet, I filled out paperwork and was taken back before 11:30. I was immediately seen by the medical assistant, she got my vitals and took down my info. A few minutes later the Nurse practitioner Lindsey came in, already ready with everything she needed to look at my eye (drops/light/dye). She looked at it and saw the scratches and let me know she'd send in drops for me. I was out of there so quickly and it was so appreciated since I was on my lunch break. I'd recommend this office to anyone, the staff was knowledge, kind and got the job done. read more

This place deserves every star of the five I selected! Cut my head open with a 3.5" gash and went to an urgent care called "care spot" (place was dingy and they refused to help and told me to go get an mri on my head lol) and I won't go back ever! Found this place on a desperate search since I'm not an insured person and hate hospitals. I walked in and was greeted by a young guy named Allen and was asked what it was I needed assistance with. I showed him and he informed me that they were very busy with patients and most likely couldn't help me (it was 25 min before they closed). However I think he understood my urgency and asked the doc (Scott). The doc said take me to a room and he will look at it but he doesn't do stitches but could possibly staple it instead. Allen walked me back to a room and in cane the doc. He took a look at it and told me he could staple it and he would make it happen so I didn't have to go to an er. 30 minutes later I walked out with a cleaned wound and three staples and a follow up request to remove them. This place was very clean, they were friendly, and it was very affordable!! Right before I am writing this review I received a call from Allen, he was just calling to check on me and see how I was feeling and how the cut and staples were doing. Five star. I saw Luke who is a PA for double pneumonia and he was excellent! I just moved here from Charleston SC and the one friend I know who lives here was out of town so I went straight to Yelp to find a "doc in the box". This is a quality place. The office visit and X-ray were very reasonably priced. The next day they called in new prescriptions after the radiologist had checked my films. The call this morning was from an NP and she was very thorough. Then I had to call them back for something else and they handled that really expeditiously. I'm truly happy with the care I got there. Also I called ahead - common sense - to see how busy they were. They were even less busy than they claimed. I was in an exam room within 15 minutes and it would have been faster if I been a repeat patient. But - paperwork. I was in and out in less than an hour. As soon as I was pulling out of the parking lot the pharmacist at Publix was calling me to ask me some questions about filling my scripts so I knew it was called in. I can't tell you how many times I've been to the doctor and then had to wait hours on them to call in the prescription! Hate that!! And all involved were respectful, friendly, and polite. Stephine is awesome!! We took my son here because he has a terrible thick cough and we were worried. Stephine put our minds at ease. What a wonderful place. They are quick and helpful, and most importantly caring and kind - granted we did have to wait a little bit - like a normal doctors office- but realistically it went quickly. I have visited UCC twice in the last month. I love that I can schedule my appointment online. Upon arriving, the wait is never more than 5 minutes, the doctor or PA comes in within 5 minutes. Check in and check out are always very quick and efficient. Staff calls you the day after to check on you. I have only positive things to say about this location and staff and would not hesitate to return when needed and to recommend it to others. read more

Ok, I came here last week for a sinus infection. I didn't know there were doctors anywhere that don't accept insurance. Pain in the ass....ok, fine, charged $79 for the visit. I've had recurring ear infections since I moved to Florida. The routine has been see a urgent care every 3-4 months, get prescription for Amoxicillin and move on till next time. I'm trying to avoid sinus surgery. Ok, I go in, the place is empty, you'd wonder if it was even open. The front desk girl comes out and gives me the forms, takes the $79 and I get to see a nurse practitioner. 3 minutes later she says she'll call in a prescription. Ok, all good. I get the prescription which is for 7 days. Whoa. The other doctors prescribed 10-14 days. Ok, now 7 days is up and the sinus infection is almost gone, but I'm out of pills. I call and explain the situation to the nice girl at the front desk. She says they can do another prescription but I must come in and pay another $79!!!!! What a rip off!!! I'm out of here as a patient. This is simply a convenience store for prescriptions. They don't care, enough traffic on route one to keep them going. Skip this place, better options around. read more

Excellent experience today! We got in and out within 15 min! Both the person upfront and the doc we extremely kind and helpful. Hey both went above and beyond to help us. We were in with a very sick toddler and they both had such a nurturing side to them that exceeded any medical visit I've had in the past. The doctors name was Dr. Julie and she ROCKS!!!! Absolutely fantastic!!! I don't know the gentleman's name that was also helping us but he was fantastic as well! This will certainly be our spot from hear on our!!! read more

The gal manning the front desk/person who took my vitals was awesome except she told me they would take good care of me. HA! A 3 minute conversation with the NP and $90.00 later an RX is filled with me having diagnosing myself. Literally no testing was done. She didn't even listen to my heart. Ahhh! I've now been to this urgent care location four times and each time the service and care have been exemplary. The staff, both medical and administrative have been so helpful each time! My first trip was for pneumonia and I stayed with them for over two hours as they rehydrated me and got me the right prescriptions. I think they saved me a stay in the hospital! My daughter had been running a fever and complaining about a sore throat so I took her in here because it is a convenient location to Nocatee. It was not a good experience. First, the woman at the front was really demanding about collecting payment for ALL services upfront. I told her that I didn't want to pay for tests until someone actually saw my kid as a patient and told me what was needed. This seemed to make her really annoyed. We waited about 10 minutes then were seen for about a total of 5 minutes. The doctor was being snarky with my 7 year old and came across as really impatient. I don't think they did a thorough job in looking at her because we are back in another urgent care this evening getting her treatment for strep throat. This could have been handled by them but their negligence left my kid suffering an extra day without meds. Luckily I trusted my instincts to have her seen somewhere else. read more
