Love this bar, I've been coming here since I moved here from NYC. I've always had a great experience. We love playing pool and coming for Kareoke. At 5:48pm they give everyone a free shot which is cool. I love all the staff members especially my favorite is Nicole

The owner and a bartender who work there. Both cool people

I work here but I love the team we have right now and the owner is great. Management=rockstars. Coolest art gallery bar I've ever been to.

Walked into this cool dive bar early afternoon and were totally blown away. Long and narrow, balcony in the back and a wide variety of friendly folks. Artwork tastefully displayed on the walls-local artists .... and it's for sale. Took a seat at the bar and bartender Courtney greeted us promptly. Available were lots of taps including local craft beers and liquor for cocktails. We enjoyed talking to Courtney, looking at the art and reading quirky signage throughout the place. We'll be gong again soon and will certainly tell others about our pleasant experience. ParkMobile app made it easy to get a close inexpensive parking spot too.

This is not a typical time for one to hit up a bar:11:21am. It's me though, what can you expect? There was a guy with his head down on the bar, I feel you bro. The bartender was cleaning the bar and came around to get my order. Bourbon 1 ice cube. I'd been walking around all morning and it hit the spot. Small place but it has a cool vibe. I'm sure it gets hoppin after dark as evidenced by the hung over dude taking a nap. Plenty of bar space and some tables, the sign out front cracked me up. The fact that they are open early means I probably will stop by again.

This place used to be a dirty dump. Now, the pressure of extreme competition seems to have forced a cleanup, much for the better. Comfortable new patio lounge couches on the sidewalk. Inside, a huge wall of high end liquor. Very spacious and comfortable inside and out. Never mind a waitress accidentally broke a glass and later i noticed my sandaled foot was bleeding. Oh well. Theres alcohol for sale along every inch of this strip, including a bar inside a womens boutique. Your choices are endless. This place is worth it.

6:45 Monday evening the place is close to empty but then again Monday is not a big night. It's got a strange smell in here? Seating in and outdoors. Pool table. All kinds of weird beers on tap, something strange about this place I can't put a finger on it.

A dive bar with drink specials on a Sat. afternoon where I saw an artist focused on sketching & selling his artwork. Loved the opportunity to meet local band members - overall a great place for creative minds to gather at the well, just a fun place to sit down with a drink & chit chat with others. I got a $6 Long Island Iced Tea (I'm pretty sure Applebee's may have beat it by a small margin only because it's a $1) that was followed by a half off draft beer, a Porter/Stout with an espresso flavor (loved that it wasn't too sweet). It was very busy after 30-45min. (not surprised) with just Courtney behind the counter, so be patient. My only criticism is that we made a new friend who had a bottle of bubbly that he shared with us, but I couldn't drink it because it was room temperature (def. need to fix that ASAP because it tasted not so great & gross since it wasn't chilled). I can see myself returning to look at the groovy artwork and grab a couple drinks!

The hippest bar that I stumbled upon while visiting St. Pete. I went in during happy hour on a Monday after a Rays playoff game. They have a BOGO special, so I had two 16 oz tap beers for $4 and with a Yelp check-in I was given a free shot of my choice. I took my cool bartenders recommendation and had a 3 finger shot of a house made coffee liqueur. Awesome. All 3 drinks for $4!! Great art to wander around and look at while chatting with cool patrons. I wish I could have returned later that week.

Truly Unforgettable Culinary Journey at Red Thread…read more Our dinner at Red Thread was nothing short of spectacular -- a five-star experience from the moment we stepped through the door until the final sip of our after-dinner drink. We visited to celebrate a milestone birthday, and the team not only met but exceeded every expectation, weaving subtle, thoughtful surprises into the evening that made us feel truly special. The atmosphere is opulent yet completely approachable -- warm, intimate, and alive with cultural richness. You can feel the intention behind every detail: the plush banquettes adorned with intricately embroidered throw pillows, the soft glow of lantern-style lighting, and the perfectly placed gold-tipped cocktail picks that make even the smallest moment feel curated. It's elegant without pretense, like being welcomed into a beautifully kept secret along the Silk Road. Service was led by Katie and Elijah, who were nothing short of exceptional. Their warmth, precision, and deep knowledge of both the menu and the restaurant's rich aesthetic elevated the entire evening. They guided us with confidence, shared stories behind the dishes, and ensured every need was met before we even voiced it. Now, the food -- where do we begin? Red Thread delivers flavors that are bold, layered, and deeply authentic. We started with the spread and small bites platter, and it was immediately clear we were in for something extraordinary. The tabbouleh was bright and herb-forward, with finely chopped parsley, tomato, and bulgur kissed by lemon -- a perfect balance of freshness and zing. The falafel were golden-crisp on the outside, tender within, and served with a bright mint yogurt. So delish! For our mains: the salmon, seasoned with fragrant za'atar and resting atop creamy spanakorizo (spinach and rice), was cooked to buttery perfection. The addition of crumbled feta and a cooling lemon yogurt sauce brought a bright, tangy contrast that elevated every bite. The pork chop, served with tri-color potatoes and glazed in a rich port beurre rouge with rosemary and a whisper of parmesan, was magnificent -- juicy, deeply savory, and beautifully seared. And the beef short rib? Unbelievably tender, with a warm curry base, sweet-spicy melon kimchi, and saffron rice that perfumed the air. The cardamom chèvre melted into the mix, adding a creamy, floral depth that was nothing short of inspired. Every dish told a story -- of distant lands, ancient trade routes, and a chef who clearly treats spice like sacred heirloom. To know these flavors are crafted with spices imported directly from the regions that inspired them explains the unmatched authenticity in every bite. Red Thread stands alone in St. Petersburg -- not just in flavor, but in feeling. We'll be back -- no question -- to explore their brunch and dive deeper into this beautiful narrative they've created on a plate. To everyone reading: This is the kind of restaurant that deserves to be discovered, celebrated, and filled to capacity every single night. Go. Taste. Feel. Red Thread isn't just dinner -- it's a journey. And it's not to be missed.

Decor is cool. Had the dip trio and enjoyed. Good drinks. Google says it opens at 2, but it didn't.read more
