My tab was $21.. 3 days later I receive a notification my purchase was completed for $71!! A bartender there took it amongst themselves to make my $5 tip a $50 TIP!!!! I never even went in! They looked at my REAL ID and immediately said it was fake and refused to give it back. The security was on a power trip and soo rude and made me feel unsafe. He yelled at me to "get out of my bar and off his property" (didn't know an amazon security shirt made you owner of a bar). I had to call 911 to get my ID back. I don't know what happened to this place. It's in my neighborhood, I consider it ... or used to consider it ... one of my personal establishments. The jukebox ripped me off for three songs and I thought maybe it was the bar getting ready for the live music, so I tried to ask the bartender but she got hostile and copped a serious attitude about the whole thing which really threw me off base. Then she said I was cutoff and ordered me out ... over three dollars in the jukebox. I'd spent probably $50 and plenty of that was tips, and was among the nicest most personable people in the whole place. It was like some weird Twilight Zone episode. Whatever happened to, "Oh, that's the jukebox not us. They have a number you can call." If they'll treat a top-notch smiling regular with a bunch of cash and a positive attitude this way, there's no predicting how they'll treat anyone else. read more

1000% RACIST ESTABLISHMENT I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent visit to this establishment. Our out-of-country friend, who presented a valid passport in English and Spanish, was inexplicably denied service, seemingly due to her darker complexion, which was a distressing display of flat-out racism. (I wonder if the bartender would have treated white-skinned Canadians with passports the same way). Three members of our group are U.S. military VETERANS, making the discriminatory treatment even more disheartening. When we tried to discuss the matter with the bar manager (or owner), we were met with dismissiveness, as the manager stated, "I have to side with my bartender." To add to the frustration, we had already paid for our drinks before being forced to leave, but we did not receive a refund and were not allowed to finish our drinks. Our drinks were aggressively removed from our hands. Certainly, the RUDEST bartender I've ever encountered (small, skinny blonde. Didn't catch her name). This lack of accountability and poor customer service tarnished our overall experience. As patrons, we expected fairness and respect, qualities sorely lacking here. I will be sure to leave this review on multiple online platforms. And will further bring this up at VFW and American Legion (both of which we are members). My first time here last night, to see Damon Fowler's gig, 6-9pm. It was a very cool dive bar, and I wish I lived closer than across the bridge to enjoy it. It is an open air bar, with seating outside facing in on the sidewalk, tables and chairs inside, seating at the bar, and also out back, nicely decorated with colorful lighting. Damon Fowler did not disappoint, and there is entertainment every night of the week! There was a food menu with wings, sandwiches, and a full page of pizza options, which are made in the restaurant next door. The blackened wings were a nice size, and fried naked and crispy. The Thai sweet chili I was told were tasty as well. I will say it was worth the trip across the bridge for sure. read more

It's becoming more and more of a trend for the locals to ruin a bar that's in the middle of a tourist community. These bars and restaurants on this beach are only alive because of the tourist and the high tourist season.. but yet the owners the staff and the local patrons decide to bash any newcomers or tourist every time and any time that they have a legit concern. These people are far from hippies if not they are the complete opposite. They have hatred running through their veins. So with that being said if you are a tourist do not visit this establishment or the establishment across the street known as brass captain. Until this place can be grateful for the tourists they do not need any of your money. This is why I am giving them a one star. On top of lousy food over priced beer and just the feel of entitlement every step you take. Good luck locals if they don't make any money off the tourists your drink prices will go up again.
