Local marinara & meatballs made with the same recipe of the old Main Hotel that was in Carnegie for nearly 100 years. That bowl of pasta was SCRUMPTIOUS and just what I was after. I even talked my lovely wife into doing up her salad 'Pittsburgh style', which means adorning the salad with fries. And yes, it's as good as it sounds. Thrown in a protein like grilled chicken and that is a banger of a meal. Great dining area with a square-shaped bar and TVs with sight-lines in any direction. The service is friendly and helpful, and prices are probably lower than at some chain-y eatery that just makes your food via assembly line. It's local and sensational!

I waited at the host stand to be acknowledged for 10 minutes (learning after the fact that it was because they pulled the host to serve). Once we sat down nobody came to check on us for another near 10 mins. He was very nice, told us that this was his first time serving, we ordered drinks, appetizers and entrees all at once to help expedite service and alleviate the pressure on him. Food came out fast and hot, but we watched our drinks sit on the bar for 20 mins while we ate our appetizers, while our server was stuck talking to the same table the entire time. Our entrees came out promptly and we had to ask the food runner to deliver our drinks, and he was very nice and did for us. We were not checked on by our server or anyone else the rest of the meal, despite having empty waters before our entrees were even out. Once we were done we had to watch our server talk to another table for at least 10 minutes without even so much as looking in our direction before we were finally able to get his attention to close out. Everyone we did get to talk to was very nice and the food was very good, portions were large, and hot, and prices were great for the quality. It's a shame the rest of the experience was not up to par. I love the idea of this place, and if they were to get a little more help in the way of experienced and reliable servers we would give it another try, but ultimately we were disappointed.
