Dualing pianos at the bar on Times Square inside NYNY. The best nights we were told to go were on a Wednesday or Thursday as they are busier nights. The bar is average, but the bartenders were great. There is a $30 cover charge pp that isn't mentioned anywhere when you put in a reservation online. So that was annoying to find out after standing in line to get in. You can however, sit at the bar outside the establishment where the video poker machines are, order drinks and listen for no cover charge. It is loud. Not gonna lie. Bring earplugs with just in case. We were only able to stay for a couple hours because of this. There are tvs surrounding the edges with sports and also live piano feed in case you don't have a clear shot of the action. You can request a song, for $20. However, if someone doesn't like the song, they can pay more money and veto it... there is a huge focus on getting the crowd to pay up more as the night went on. There was a friendly little 'dance off' between a few patrons the night we went. Was fun to see. Overall, I would recommend if you haven't seen dusting pianos before. read more

We met some friends from out of town who wanted to see the dueling pianos. We had reservations for 4 , now this is a plus but you still have to get there before 8 and wait in line to make sure you get seats. Otherwise your reservation gets you in but standing room only until seats open up. Depends on what your plans are whether you need seats. If you want to dance and go wild you may not need seats but it's nice to be able to relax in between. The service was great and the show was outstanding. However, if you want any requests to be played, get ready to cough up at least $50 so we just listened to what others requested, but it was still so fun. Without reservations you go on the "bar side" which is standing only, regardless of how crowded. It was fine bc we sang and danced the whole time, it was a total vibe. This is a big part of why NYNY is my favorite hotel and casino on the Vegas strip. I absolutely love the atmosphere with piano dueling crowds. The best ones I've been to (as a regular) are in SF and here. Love that they also show sports on the surrounding TV's. I've seen the place a lot more crowded pre-COVID. But it still has a decent crowd, and the musicians are as talented and entertaining as usual. I sometimes opt to just buy drinks from the outside of the venue because you can sit at the machines which look in, while not having to pay a cover to actually be inside. But it's a good time either way, lots of good music, lots of drunk people, lively atmosphere. I was just there this past weekend, and post-COVID, they do close earlier (1:00am), but luckily the Center Bar at NYNY kept the music going till 2am. read more

I don't mind paying $20 each to have a seat, another option is paying $5 to stand in the bar area. I don't mind paying $15 per drink....I know where I'm at. But what I do mind is the piano players asking for $20 to play your request, they said it was an all request show. We thought this was a joke but it wasn't. What sets this bar apart from others is the live music: dueling pianos. I love how interactive it is...you place your requests with the musicians directly; pay a good amount ($20 and up) to ensure your song gets played. My wife and I visited on a couple different nights and heard a wide variety of music. Of course, you'll hear the ones that everyone requests, but occasionally you'll hear something out of the ordinary. There's a line outside for entry-we never actually went inside, just stood outside and listened to the music. Ok honestly, this is my new favorite spot!!!!!!! I would rather do this than clubbing omg. It's super casual and SO. MUCH. FUN. It's kind of like "dueling pianos" vibe. There's a side with seats which has reservations and a cover ($15) OR the bar side which is no seats but no cover and WAY BETTER! Twice I just hung out and playing video poker on the outside of the bar but once we finally went in and had the best time. It does get pretty busy after 10pm. There's a pizza place right next door so it's the perfect spot once the bar closes. Finding a spot after a late breakfast to watch some football was very difficult. Some of the bars had a $50 minimum per person to sit and watch. We just wanted some beer and some apps, not $150 worth. Atmosphere - Located in the heart of New York New York casino. The place was empty other than the bar itself today. The place is filled with NFL and CFL games on the TVs. The CFL were playing their playoff games, thus they were on Sunday. They had the 49ers and Raider games on so we were happy. We found a high top table that allowed us to enjoy the games. Drink - The craft beer selection was very limited. We did find Stone's IPA, so that was the beer choice for two of us. Service - Lack luster. She did manage to change the channel on TV which did not anything on it other DirectTV NFL ad indicating time to change the channel after I asked. Future - Maybe this is a great dueling piano bar, but service and food items lacked. read more

We visited this bar on my 40th Birthday trip to Vegas. I really wanted to see Deuling Pianos, but missed the show at Harrah's. We called and reserved a table, which ended up being a 20 dollar fee/person. We got the choice of a low or high top. The waitress was exceptional - she made sure our glasses were never empty. The bathroom is located outside of the casino, and they keep the area roped off, but the staff is attentive and will let you in and out as necessary. There were two sets of Dueling Piano players - two older guys, and two younger guys. Each reserved table got a request card, and it was a given that you'd had to pay up if you wanted to hear your song. I felt as if the performers didn't know as many songs as they should, and their voices weren't that great. They intentionally had low energy to their performances until people started paying more money. The people who reserved tables, like us were referred to as the VIP section. I felt as if we were heckled unnecessarily and asked to pay up to hear a song, when we paid for a seat to sit and relax and enjoy the show. read more

Since my husband and I were staying at the New York New York Hotel, I decided to come here for a celebratory drink after watching the live boxing match between Pacquiao and Thurman at the MGM. Unfortunately, the frozen margarita bar in the casino area had already closed at 2 a.m. (about 10 minutes before I arrived). However, the bartender that night was nice enough to still serve me. The two male performers were extremely rude. If you want to come here to enjoy the music and ambiance, without singing along, the performers will chastise you and single you out in front of the entire bar. I paid the cover charge, and made a donation with a song request. One of the performers trash talked it, but played it anyway and everyone loved it. Then when I didn't sing along for a different song, I was singled out over the microphone and made to feel like I didn't belong. Then the other guy shined a flashlight in my face and told me he'd remove it once I started singing. He then said under his breath "Why are you even here?". Finally when the song was over he asked a snarky question over the microphone asking if I was having a good time. I said "yeah this is great!" (I genuinely was enjoying the music). He saw me take a drink of water and said I should add some alcohol to it and have a better time. Not everyone drinks, and people have their private reasons for it. I left shortly after. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you over tip them, hand in a song request every second, sing along at the top of your lungs, and drink copious amounts of alcohol. I won't be back. read more

Dueling Pianos!!! I actually only came here because MyVegas had a $50 drink voucher but ended up really enjoying myself. Located inside of New York New York, right at the front entrance to the food area. If you come in before 7:45 pm there is no cover for the Dueling Pianos. $10 cover after or $25 for the VIP area. Service was great. Our bartender was really nice and made us good drinks. My $50 voucher got me, 1 beer, 3 jame & gingers, and 1 old fashioned. Not bad for pricing. The dueling pianos was pretty cool. They are very uptempo. The two players had good energy. They played a lot of 80s songs. They wont play Don't Stop Believing until the very end or unless you tip them a lot! I enjoyed the show. read more

It's a very fun and lively spot with good drinks and an overall good vibe. For readers who are unfamiliar with dueling piano bars, essentially, there are two very talented pianists/singers, each at his/her own piano. The audience gives them cards with their requests, and they perform the songs. You will be blown away at how talented these performers are. Regardless of the genre of music requested, they deliver with shining stars. I have seen them perform everything from classic rock, 80s music, blues, reggae, hip hop, jazz, and everything in between, and believe me they will never disappoint. People are dancing, music is playing, drinks are flowing, and it's just a really good time overall. I very highly recommend it! read more

This makes me sad this was always my favorite place to come when I visit Vegas and I brought new friends recently because I would RAVE about this place. Sadly the pianists have gone downhill... I made a donation and requested a song but because it wasn't more than $10 they wouldn't play it. Literally never had that problem before and they would even complain on the mics if it was too low. Lost of memories here at the Bar at Times Square. Though I would imagine it isn't as busy as the real Times Square, it has always been a good spot to throw back a few drinks and kill time with friends. The place is always packed due to its location. Since it's open 24/7 it's never slow. What's cool are the dueling pianos and the people that sing along with the tunes. Most times they are all out of tune but that's what makes it fun. Drinks are reasonable priced and it's an excellent spot to see and be seen if you know what I mean.
