Dualing pianos at the bar on Times Square inside NYNY. The best nights we were told to go were on a Wednesday or Thursday as they are busier nights. The bar is average, but the bartenders were great. There is a $30 cover charge pp that isn't mentioned anywhere when you put in a reservation online. So that was annoying to find out after standing in line to get in. You can however, sit at the bar outside the establishment where the video poker machines are, order drinks and listen for no cover charge. It is loud. Not gonna lie. Bring earplugs with just in case. We were only able to stay for a couple hours because of this. There are tvs surrounding the edges with sports and also live piano feed in case you don't have a clear shot of the action. You can request a song, for $20. However, if someone doesn't like the song, they can pay more money and veto it... there is a huge focus on getting the crowd to pay up more as the night went on. There was a friendly little 'dance off' between a few patrons the night we went. Was fun to see. Overall, I would recommend if you haven't seen dusting pianos before.

My first time at Bar at Times Square, and I had the best time ever!! the service is phenomenal. The atmosphere is happy , enjoyable, friendly and welcoming. They sing any type of music and love the fact that they are playing the piano while singing. Totally worth the visit there!!

Is it really Vegas if you don't get a frozen drink in a yardstick? I think not. Overall, you definitely pay quite the pretty penny for a souvenir and selfie. I wasn't a big fan of the flavor, but the service and beautiful ambiance of New York New York made up for it. Cheers and good luck if you are gambling!

Dueling pianos sucked!!!! Requested a song and tipped a 20 they just sat whined about not having requests and played baby shark. They sound horrible and managed to screw up uptown funk. No amount of overpriced drinks can fix this.

We met some friends from out of town who wanted to see the dueling pianos. We had reservations for 4 , now this is a plus but you still have to get there before 8 and wait in line to make sure you get seats. Otherwise your reservation gets you in but standing room only until seats open up. Depends on what your plans are whether you need seats. If you want to dance and go wild you may not need seats but it's nice to be able to relax in between. The service was great and the show was outstanding. Really a good time and will definitely return.

This is a big part of why NYNY is my favorite hotel and casino on the Vegas strip. I absolutely love the atmosphere with piano dueling crowds. The best ones I've been to (as a regular) are in SF and here. Love that they also show sports on the surrounding TV's. I've seen the place a lot more crowded pre-COVID. But it still has a decent crowd, and the musicians are as talented and entertaining as usual. I sometimes opt to just buy drinks from the outside of the venue because you can sit at the machines which look in, while not having to pay a cover to actually be inside. But it's a good time either way, lots of good music, lots of drunk people, lively atmosphere. I was just there this past weekend, and post-COVID, they do close earlier (1:00am), but luckily the Center Bar at NYNY kept the music going till 2am.

I ordered a Happy Hour Margarita. Not worth the $8 I paid. Super low budget $2 margarita is more what it tasted like.

Second team of players we saw.

Stopped by based on a recommendation from a coworker and stayed for 3 hours. We had a blast! We also stopped at the piano bar at Harrahs, and it was not nearly as fun. These piano players had much more personality and talent. Definitely recommend.

It may or may not be worth it... To be firrrrr... 5 stars for the bartenders and wait staff. 1 start for the troll who is controlling the line. The bartender, Mario is amazing! We showed up on a Sunday and the dueling piano was going. The performance was really good, matter of fact the dudes working the piano was killing it! BUT beware of the troll, Jorge, at the line. This condescending short dude with a Napoleon complex is a douche. It, that's right I said it, made me upset and ended up just hung out at the side of the bar, which was as good as being inside of the bar.

Our experience has solely to do with the hostesses at the front. We had reservations for 1:45, but had arrived early and so was added to the waitlist. She was very rude and said it would be an hour, which was still before our reservation so we were ok with that. We ended up waiting 90 minutes with no word from her and it was close to our original reservation so we headed back over. This time she was even ruder. She said that no one was leaving and that we would not be able to get in today at all. I asked her about my reservation and she said that the reservation didn't matter, we would not be able to get in at all. She was mad that we even asked. I did question why they were taking reservations if they were not honoring them and why did she have us wait (almost two hours by now) if she had no intention of ever seating us. She was angry and said no one was leaving and there were no table available. You could see tables but it appeared there just wasn't enough staff to handle the crowd. We left and headed to one of our favorite dining places as we were starving by now and very disappointed because we were really looking forward to dining at this establishment. Shortly after we arrived at Humo's, I received a text message that our table was ready and to head in. This was about 20 minutes after our conversation with the hostess. I am greatly disappointed that we were not able to try their food, but the customer service was so incredibly bad we would never recommend this place. Two hours for nothing was a huge waste of time. Just be honest and shut down reservations. Incidentally, my husband also received a text shortly after mine saying his table was also ready (his name was on the waitlist for the hour).

We both had fish and chips on our brains, and I know Flowing Tide in the north has yummy fish and chips, so I was hoping this Vegas location would too. This location was easy to find, Vegas is so easy to get around, everything is all laid out on a grid, with big throughfares every one mile. We just got on Trop as the locals call it, till we got to Decater and go a little bit and there we are. The place is open 24 hrs. like a lot of things in Vegas. Parking is easy and we go right in. Looking at the menu, I see prices are higher by a few bucks per item and I see more upscale items on the menu that we don't have in the north, like crab cakes! I saw the fish and chips, so that's what we got. I really don't care for coleslaw in general, so I got mine with double fries instead and my friend likes coleslaw and is cutting carbs, so she got double coleslaw and no fries. I was taught that was the British way to do fish and chips, tarter and catsup is the American way! If I'm down here in Vegas again, I'll have to give some of these more upscale items a try, unless Flowing Tide decides to bring them to Reno locations.

We were seated at the bar and had a nice time interacting with the cocktail craftsman/man in charge, Davey. The menu is his creative brainchild and changes a few times a year, with the current one based on the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. There's a 90 minute limit and 2 drink minimum per guest. Because of the craft and attention to detail that goes into each cocktail, we finished our 2 drinks just about right at the 90 minute mark. I really enjoyed both of my cocktails but the one that stood out to me the most was Strange Medicine. It was reminiscent of a martini but with Brie-washed Old Bison vodka, Cocchi Americano, and herb oil. It was so good that I wasn't sure what drink to choose next, but Davey was helpful with a great recommendation for another cocktail served with a chunk of parmesan cheese on top. Keep in mind that you're paying for the experience and the level of craft. So with a 2 drink minimum it won't be a cheap experience but it's definitely something worth checking out for the unique, creative cocktails.

Pro: Fear and Loathing menu, updated furniture, yummy drinks…read more Con: Not the previous Laundry Room you remembered, glorified tourist trap, lack of atmosphere control. Slow drink service. The Laundry Room is dead, long live the Laundry Room. The remodel that took place during Jan to May 2026 saw a wide amount of change from Corner Management, the mother company of LR. They got rid of the absolute corner stone of the lead bartender, Anthony, and redecorated the place to look more like the sister bar, Doberman Drawing Room (5 Stars). The remodel was absolutely needed, as the regulars and Dean's List could point out, the place was kind of falling apart. From water warped bar top, uncomfortable chairs, and chipped paint/worned carpet, you would think this place WAS left over from the Prohibition era. What sets this establishment apart from any of the pretend speakeasy on the strip is the atmosphere. At any given time, you could cram 16 people there at a time, even with the reduced drinking time cut from 2 hours to 90 minutes, this place could only cycle thru 50 to 60 people from the reduced nightly opening of 4 hours from 6 hours previously. This make LR special, not some faux speakeasy in Cosmo or Resort World that could jam in 80 people per hour with room to spare. Gone is the rugged identity of the old laundry room for El Cortez, this is spiced up, every square inch of the wall is covered with some art piece, very much different from the Depression era decor. Some art selection are just straight up chaos from the management, the main cherub piece behind the bar is just insanity. The new master of house, Davey, showed skills with his new 14 drink menu, but fell short of what made LR great in the past 14 years. Now, the man had just two months to create his drink list and per himself, had to start from the scratch from when he took over.. So, with that said, let's focus on the drinks. Hemingway Dalguiri, Dust + Ether, and High Noon Static - all great in taste, presentation, and talent, abet we can see the hesitation when making his own drinks, thus slowing down service by quite a bit. My party saw him struggle making 6 drinks at once, 4 of them the same drinks. Recommendation from someone else, maybe record the drink making process and try to eliminate non productive habits and motions via video viewing. Since Davey is a visionary, looking in the past is a deal breaker for him. If you are trying to finish up a previous menu for the Dean's List, the joke is on you, that is a no. Where the hostess (the only person that survived the purge from the remodel) explained to him that exception needs to happen to keep the Dean's List going, the answer was a no since no one at management told him about this. When asked about what will the new requirements will be for the future, it's simple, finish the menu before it's replaced with no chance of catching up. Once a menu is done, it's done. I guess it's easier to keep the drinks under control with less ingrediencies needed behind the bar, but wait a minute... drink number 15, Research and Development, that should give Davey some leeway to non menu drinks right? Turns out, not so much. Sidecar- cognac, orange liqueur, lemon juice. Simple right? He leaves the room to get something from Commonwealth... didn't management installed a new fridge to hold the larger ice cubes, where previous bar keep have to venture out all the time? Turns out, there was no Cognac or any Brandy in the Laundry Room. I can see how things are shaped, strict bottle control is for the benefit of the bar, not for the customer. There is now Vodka, foam, and milk wash but lost Cognac or Brandy, but besides the freedom of choices were also compounded with complete lack of rules. For the last 14 years, the hostess and bar staff on rotation were friendly yet firm about house rules. First given upon entering the secret or window doors, then by the bartender after an aperitif is given (now eliminated). No photo, religion, politic, standing at the bar, name dropping, brawling, telephone calls, PDA, and smoking, plus don't be creepy, be patient, and know your limit. Most of these were not enforced the first 2 times my party of regulars have visited since the remodel. The cardinal sin of allowing one single 4 top to seat 2 people at a time is just wild. But hey, no rules are listed on the new simple menu and none giving at the door or at the seats. So what is this place now? 20 to 23 dollars for a drink plus more for popcorn. All for the experience of being in a noise warfare between Commonwealth and La Mona Rosa's speaker systems, with LR's own music turned up high, and the piano only used one night of the week. I would recommend Doberman Drawing Room as of now for better drinks options, less noise, and vibe. The new menu to replace Fear and Laundry will come out this Fall, will be bring some regulars with me to check on LR again and hopefully give more than 2 stars on the next review.
