Really enjoyed 189 Burger! It was my first time here. Normally East Aurora feels so busy and crowded to me but I was able to park comfortably in a lot behind the buildings (look for the green P sign for the parking). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place itself seems tiny but there was actually a lot of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside today on their patio and it was a beautiful location and ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitresses are so wonderful. Very nice girls and we had a party of 6 to accommodate and everything was perfect! For the food, I ordered deviled eggs which were just the perfect egg yolk to mayo ratio. Not overpowering and had great seasonings. The burger was clearly the star of the meal. Lots of options to choose from - bbq, mushroom, black bean, etc. I would like to come back to try more. They also had a fun cocktail menu. I didn't try them but people in my party did and they were very fun and colorful!

Service was a bit slow. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Do love the atmosphere with opened glass doors in the front and alley dining.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Burgers were cooked as ordered and had great flavors profiles. Love me some extra crisp & salty fries - 189 delivered. Sweet potato salad had the perfect balance of salty and sweet. Adding the chicken was a solid choice, had delicious Mediterranean seasoning. Just didn't love the Buffalo Brussels because they mostly broke apart with cooking. Whole sprouts are better than the separated leaves. Overall, a nice spot to grab delicious food with friends.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Delicious food; excellent service; comfortable booth; nice ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Enjoyed blackbean patty (which was dense and resembled beef) with melted Swiss and sweet Bourbon caramelized onions and shredded lettuce on tasty bun. So yummy. Order it with some kind of sauce, since the patty is lean. Side salad was tasty; I loved tge poppyseed dressing I had on the side. Brussel sprouts side was too much for two people. Delicious. Definitely tasted the olive oil and salt. No desserts at this restaurants, but hardly necessary since food portions are generous. Would like to return to try the grilled cheese sandwich which comes with the outrageously yummy sweet Bourbon caramelized onions. You must try those onions!

My husband and I went here for a date night and there was about a 20 min wait on Saturday around 5, not bad! We went to the bar and I ordered the Clark's root beer which I'm not usually a rye drinker but it was so smooth! We had the deviled eggs and French onion soup for an appetizer. The deviled eggs had relish in them and it was different but added a nice little crunch and flavor. You can never go wrong with the soup during the cold months! I had the Maple Bacon burger which was the perfect mix of sweet and savory! My husband had the pot roast dip sandwich which was really good, we could have used a little more meat on it though. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, a cute place with great food and service![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will be back!

A few more photos, food and service are still top-notch. No wait to be seated at 6pm on Wednesday.

Everytime I go here the service and the food is spectacular. Definitely the best burgers around with a wonderful beer menu to top it off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only thing that could make it better is a tad bit more light in the house. They turn the lights down a little too much[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . We'll be back! I got the 189 burger with and egg on it .

Get the biscuit sandwhich, immediately during brunch. 11-3pm. And the Beermosa! Also, during lunch the Bourbon Burger and the Greek burger are my go-tos!

I came here with my husband on a Friday night at 7:00 pm. We had to wait for 30 minutes for a table, but I did like that they text you when your table is ready. Our waitress was great and attentive. We did wait a long time for our food (about 40 minutes), but the food was worth the wait, in my opinion. The bourbon onion burger was fantastic. I have tried other higher end burger joints, but this one was definitely the best burger I've had. Also, the hand cut fries were delicious too.

Burgers were very very good. We were very impressed with the Bourbon Onion burger and the All American burger - egg was cooked perfectly. Sweet potato fries were really good. Service was good, food came fairly quickly. We wanted to sit outside because it was nice and we regretted it because there were about 50 flies attacking us throughout lunch. So, food is very good but ambiance was suboptimal due to their fly problem.

YYYYUUUMMMMM! We were coming back from a mini day-trip and knew we would travel through East Aurora. I remembered this was a new joint and wanted us to try it. We strolled in a bit before 2 pm on a Sunday and even tho it was busy, we were immediately sat at a back booth, which was perfect for us. We checked out the menu and knew we were glad we chose to drop in. Everything sounded so good! Although I was tempted with a burger, I went with the Turkey club which had THE BEST bacon! Also, the burger meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked as desired at medium heat and with onion straws...boom! Get their homemade fries too - Delicious! The hostess and server were very attentive and we truly enjoyed our service. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Overall, I really enjoyed this restaurant! The interior decorating is super nice, and I love the low light vibe. The waitress was great as well. I started with the French onion soup. DEFINITELY get it if you love French onion soup. It is honestly some of the best I've had in Buffalo. The broth was so flavorful and the pieces of bread were so tasty. For the main course I got the Greek burger with Brussels sprouts. It was a fresh tasting burger which I liked. I definitely would recommend that they cook the Brussels sprouts a little longer and/or put more seasoning on. Other than that though it was a very nice place!

Deviled eggs. Wish they didn't come on arugula but that's just cause I'm picky.

Had a nice time at 189 and always love the food. I appreciate how much of their drinks involve fire lol. It makes sitting at the bar entertaining! Food is always good, have never had a bad thing here. Service was good even though they were busy. All in all had a great time.

2nd visit (many years later) dined inside the main room due to weather. Food was good- a very tasty burger that filled me up. Service was good, attentive but not intrusive. Definitely worth a visit if you're in East aurora

I went to another…read morerestaurant first, which I won't name but the wings were not good so the next day I tried Bar Bill. Let me tell you, these were some of the best wings I ever had! The restaurant itself is pretty small so it can get packed. As a girl from Michigan I do love ranch, but I was told their Bleu cheese was homemade so I used the bleu cheese and it was delish. Overall a great spot for wings, will definitely be back next time I'm in the Buffalo area. Forgot to take pics :(

I am only reviewing the Beef in Weck, a rare thin sliced roast beef sandwich on a kummelweck roll,…read morewhich has kosher salt and caraway seeds. The top half of the roll often has horseradish spread and it is dowsed with au jus or those are served on the side. The sandwich is local, originating in Buffalo but you can get them in Rochester too. The sandwich comes in three sizes, large, medium and sliders. Choosing the medium, the portion of roast beef was generous. So generous, in fact, that the roll was too small for the sandwich. It was served with au jus to the side and potato chips. The roast beef, allegedly freshly made, tasted clayish. Salt was the dominant flavor, hardly any caraway seed flavor. About half way into the sandwich, I wondered if there was any horsedsdish on the bun. Truly, it was hard to tell, but if there was, it was overwhelmed by the salt along with the caraway. Perhaps there was too much meat for the roll? Lazy caraway seeds? Not enough horseradish? Whatever, it was, at best, disappointing. Now I didn't try anything else and other diners seemed happy plus service was prompt and helpful, the setting friendly and pleasant, so I am reluctant to give two stars but that's actually a more accurate grade for the sandwich. Try the restaurant, but skip the Beef on Weck.

Their menu is not updated on any of their pages so I can't remember what I ordered. It was a cocktail that mixed crisp, dry white wine, some kind of spirit and club soda. It was refreshing, interesting and light yet had just enough flavor to make it unique. The service was good. There were 2 bartenders that night who were helpful, attentive and friendly. There are a few tables with umbrellas outdoors in the front. A bar and some tables on the first floor inside and a metal spiral staircase which has a few small tables on the 2nd floor. Def not a great place for groups. Try and come at an odd time to get a seat.

It is a tiny, tiny place (hence, the first part of its name.) Maximum capacity of about 35 people. It has an outside volleyball court and a great outside deck on which you can enjoy a cool upscale beverage, or a Coors Light....literally it is that kind of place, something for everyone!!!! On a beautiful day, what a place to spend the afternoon for some fabulous burgers and the libation of your absolute choice! Now for the GREAT stuff. Amazing burgers. Like Amazing. Juicy, flavorful. Yum. Cozy tables and high tops with stools and a decent sized bar inside, then the nice deck, outside. The locals clearly know about this place and they have kept it a DEEP SECRET. I understand. It is a prize and if I were them, I would do the same. We heard about this cubbyhole, randomly, through rumor. Then we found it on Facebook. Our car driving group made arrangements to have a happy hour on a beautiful, sunny, fall Saturday following a rally style drive around WNY. The owner, Jennifer, was wonderfully accommodating when contacted in advance, agreeing to prepare a happy hour offering for us from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon, with special burger sliders and fry baskets for our drivers as appetizers, as we finished our rally style drive and rolled into Stafford New York in waves. We took over the Tiny Piney for a two hour period. Total fun. Steph, the master mixologist who totally dominates the Tiny Piney's unique bar, developed two specialty cocktails for our group. One was called the Pink Cadillac Margarita, and the other was called the Road Trip Cold Brew. Both. Were. Incredible. My driving group, The Western New York Drivers, are a great group of folks who love cars--from the very high end supercars and exotics to classics to muscle cars. Our drivers who are of all walks of life, were all so impressed with the incredible hospitality offered by The Tiny Piney, and their warm and welcoming group of local patrons. It is not every day that millions of dollars worth of cars driven by strangers, roll into a tiny bar in upstate Western New York, but the Tiny Piney handled it in total stride and arranged in advance for great parking on the lawn of the neighboring car business for our cars. Just perfect. My husband and I live 50 minutes from this hidden gem, and mark my words, we will be back before driving season's end, with or without our larger ensemble....as soon as possible!
